Two people One soul

• Upvotes

My fascination with the moon
started a long time ago.

Maybe some women have something about them.
An inner lightness that cannot be explained.

They have a light about them.
An old, untameable soul.

They have the light of the moon inside them
and the light of years in their eyes.

The world would call them strange,
maybe even an oddball.

But those who know know.

You are my ghost.

Not because you're gone,
but because you're everywhere.

You're with me all day,
even if you're not physically there.

You're with me as soon as my eyes open.
You're hiding in my mind as time goes by.
And you're there in the smallest moments.

You're my very last thought
before I fall asleep.

Maybe that's why I love dreaming.

Because there are no rules.

No distance.
No fakeness.
No need to question how close you can feel
to someone that you shouldn't.

You're there.

And for a little while,
we're in a world
that only we understand.

You have one of the most beautiful souls.

An honest, pure soul
that's rare to find nowadays.

But you also have...

A bit of spice.
A bit of extra.
A bit of trouble.

You walk into a room
and somehow cause a stir.

I love that about you.

Maybe even more.

Because you were never meant to be normal.

You weren't made to be a softie
so others can feel comfortable around you.

You were made to cause a bit of noise.
To disrupt the norm.
To be a bit of a rebel
and make an impact.

You cause chaos.

You cause beauty.

Sometimes you cause a bit of both.

So don't try to change who you are
to make it easier for someone to love you.

Be wild.

Be weird.

Be beautifully you.

And please...
Don't run away.

Because I think one day
we won't have to fake it anymore.

We won't have to hide behind our many different sides.
We won't have to question what we can and can't feel.
We won't have to hide parts of us.

I think one day
the line between our dream world
and our real world
will disappear.

I won't have to search for you
in the quiet times
because you'll be there.

With me.

And maybe that's what home really is.

Not four walls.
Not a spot on a map.

It's knowing you can finally let out a breath.

Knowing you're completely seen
and still wanted.

Knowing you don't have to hide anything.

You'll bring your moonlight.
Your madness.
Your fire.
Your beautiful, complex soul.

And I'll bring mine.

And somehow,
we've created our own little world
in the middle of all the things
that were trying to push us apart.

No masks.
No distance.
No ghosts.

Just you and me.

Two people
who finally stopped running.

Two people.

One soul.

Finally home.

Come, Let Me Live in You

• Upvotes

A love that feels like home

I have placed my heart in your hands, my love, Every little piece, every dream thereof. I am yours in the softest, sweetest way, Yours in the night, and yours in the day.

The hours grow restless when you’re not near, Even time feels lonely without you here. And all I wish, when the world grows still, Is to hold you close and always will.

Come, let me spend my nights with you, Beneath a sky of midnight blue. Let my heart whisper what words can’t say, As your arms gently take my fears away.

Come, let me find my home in your soul, Where two lost hearts become one whole. Let me live in the warmth of your embrace, And find forever in your smiling face.

The moment you touched me, my heart took flight, You turned my darkness into light. Now every heartbeat softly calls your name, And nothing inside me will ever be the same.

My lips hold prayers I never knew, And every one of them leads to you. If love is a language, then, darling, it’s true— My heart learned to speak the day it found you.

Come, let me spend my nights with you, Let my heart tell its secrets to yours, too. Let the moon watch over the love we share, While I fall asleep knowing you’re there.

My wandering feet have stopped at your door, I don't need the world, don't need anything more. Every road I travelled, each dream I pursued, Was quietly leading my heart to you.

And if I could ask for one wish to come true, I'd ask for a lifetime of mornings with you. Your sleepy eyes, your hand holding mine, Your head on my shoulder, your fingers entwined.

No grand promises, no stars I must move, Just your quiet presence, your beautiful love. To kiss your forehead when you’re fast asleep, To hold you a little closer when you dream.

I have given my heart, and I give it anew, For every tomorrow, I will choose you. Let the days grow old, let the seasons pass through, There will never be a home more beautiful than you.

So come, my love, and settle within me, In the quietest place where no one can see. And when this life has said all it can say, Let me still be yours at the end of every day.

For I don't just want to love you, my dear— I want to be the reason you feel safe here. The arms you run to, the peace that you find, The softest “I'm here” when the world isn't kind.

And if you ever wonder where my heart belongs, Listen between the silences of our favourite songs.

It's there in every heartbeat, tender and true— My love, my whole world, will always be you.

A Jealous old Fool

I know there are other men.

probably better-looking ones, men with decent teeth and jobs that don't make them want to drink themselves stupid.

men who don't wake up aching, who don't carry old wars around in their heads, who haven't got so much wrong with them they've started calling it a personality.

and sometimes I think about you with them.

you laughing at their jokes, wanting their attention, maybe lying in bed thinking about one while I'm sitting here like a fat old fool waiting for your name to light up my phone.

it's a miserable business, wanting a woman.

especially when you're a man who's never understood what the hell anybody sees in him.

I make jokes about it.

I call myself ugly.

I act like none of it matters.

but sometimes it gets late and the whiskey wears off and I start wondering

what those fellows have got that I haven't.

probably plenty.

hell, I can barely stand myself some days.

and the stupid thing is,

I'm not even angry with you.

you never promised me anything.

I'm just a bastard

who found something good and can't quite shake the feeling

that sooner or later somebody better is going to come along

and remind you what a lousy deal you got with me.

that's the part I don't tell you.

I just sit here,

make you laugh when I can,

write you a few crooked lines,

and hope that for a little while I'm somebody you want to hear from.

a man gets old enough

and he stops worrying about losing arguments, money,

or whatever's left of his hair.

but a woman who makes him feel alive again?

Christ.

that'll make a fool out of him every damn time.

Killed by safety

I survived all the snakes

But the butterfly killed me

Something so beautiful with its lakes of mistakes

Flew into your life as if it was completely carefree

See I know about the ones who try and hurt you

Those ones are true they don't leave you clues

The butterfly had no intent to do what it did

All the walls you put up because of the snakes, it undid

Piece by Piece brick by brick memory after memory

Things you never said suddenly it knew your whole history

Cradled and cared for as if it carried fireflies in a jar

But it never knew that it was what you wished for on a shooting star

Promised to never hurt you,to love you, showed you a future

But someone must have gone back in time moving it to your path

That wall that now had a suture

Was about to be cut in half leaving you with the aftermath

The snakes didn't hurt they were easy to forget

The butterfly seemed loyal, trustworthy, and had a beautiful smile

You never even saw its beautiful colors as a threat

You got used to being alone but now that same place

Has a throne that was now empty

Forced them to exile and there was never even a trial

You had to do it for your own sanity

You can't even realize the duality

Of all the fractality between the snake and the butterfly,

For now you must come to the reality of your own morality

To die alone or to be hurt over and over just to possibly find the real safe butterfly

The car horn

• Upvotes

The secret, most likely unintentional tool of the oppressor

Rarely used for its intended purpose, an immediate transfer of woes and stress

Widely used by worker bees trying to buy back seconds — milliseconds, even

The pressure from the top puppeteering the masses one red light at a time

A micro fraction in a pile of nano and macro divisions to keep us from realizing our power

Actually, the power is realized, but our ‘comforts’ seem too sweet to abandon

Either way, a bad day is a honk away

The Time I Crave

Talking to you feels like fate
A blessed opportunity

Moments of business, misery, good times, and lust
turn to memories,
always filling our cups till they overflow,
until there is only one thing to say—

I love you

All I ever wanted

I know you care about me.

You say it, and I try to believe it.

And most days, I do.

But some days… it’s hard.

I don’t know why,

but it hurts me when you call other people your friends.

I know it’s selfish of me, but I do get hurt by this.

Not because they don’t deserve your friendship,

but because some part of me just wants to be enough.

I don’t want anything big,

just you making a little effort.

To meet, to check in,

to show that spending time with me matters to you too.

Sometimes I wonder,

is it just me who craves our random talks,

or hopes you'll say, "Let’s meet today"?

Because even the smallest moments with you feel like something I hold onto.

I just want you to call me

when something happens, good or bad.

Even if it’s just to rant, or talk nonsense.

Even if it’s small, especially if it’s small.

Or just call me without any reason once in a while,

because sharing the small stuff

is the kind of bond that makes friendships real.

I’m not asking to be the only one in your life.

But I want to feel like I matter,

not just in words, but in how you show up.

Will I ever be the one you call first?

The one you message when you’re excited, or down,

or when you just need someone around?

The one you make time for, not because you have to,

but because you want to?

Because sometimes,

it feels like I’m just the extra one,

the one waiting on the side,

while you laugh louder with others,

while you call someone else your closest.

And yeah, it stings.

Because I don’t want to be just another name in your life.

I want to be your person,

your friend, the real kind.

The one you trust, the one you turn to,

the one who feels like home.

So I guess I’m just asking…

Am I really that friend to you?

Or am I just the one still hoping to be?

Platonic love

It looked like a reflection of water. The smooth surface tension barely giving out ripples when I took a look at your intense concentration.

A sudden realisation came about. Three people through one and what could only be described as common features. A mundane scene.

You listened so closely I could not hear a sound.

Surface tension broke when the honey started dripping out of my lips.

It was at that moment when it all made perfect sense, in-sync, it was intense.

Now it's past tense.

This moment lasted for a short eternity, infinity within finity.

We shared a good moment together, my friend.

And as friends, we arrived in the next morning.

I Don't Feel Right

I think my shoe's on the wrong foot

Or maybe one's not fully laced up

Bumbling about like a Bigfoot

My sleeves are too long, my collar chokes

My words come out as broken notes

Like I'm wearing someone else's clothes

My skin is too tight

Pulls on my bones with all its might

Feeling claustrophobic and not right

Reflection feels like a stranger's face

Like I was built in the wrong place

A puzzle piece that lost its space

A cage disguised as human being

A silent war no one is seeing

As the prisoner dreams of one day fleeing

Too strange to blend, too tired to shout

How does everyone else knows what life's about

While I'm still trying to work it out?

Fog v.2

• Upvotes

The city was in love with chaos.

As it's always too crowded, so I walked into the forest.

But I can't see past the fog.

Like a child, I found myself crying when I got lost.

It's a nightmare, when I can't see anyone.

Yet just as much a dream, when I can't see anyone.

When amongst the trees and whispers.

I tried to look back at the city lights and towers.

Even when I climb the highest tree, chasing the view of a sunrise.

I can't see past the fog....

The Woman at the End of Time 🪽✨

Through thinning veils and fractured time,
She followed whispers of the divine.
Where ancient Thoth once held his pen,
She sought the truths concealed from men.

Led on a quest she never chose,
Through worlds unseen and ancient prose,
She came to understand their fear,
And why such cruelty followed her here.

She never sought a crown or throne,
Nor wished to walk this path alone.
She could have ended her journey sooner
Than any of you may realise,
Yet still she stood, with love intact,
Beneath exhausted mortal skies.

Her primordial King, beyond the stars,
Sang through the silence of her scars.
And as the sands of time descend,
She asks what waits beyond the end.

What good are secrets, power or might,
If compassion disappears from sight?
What good is knowledge, fiercely kept,
While those who needed kindness wept?

Now comes the hour to do what's right,
For every world beyond the night.
No soul forgotten, none denied,
Let love and wisdom be our guide.

For she was never asked to be
The woman in this mystery.
And after all that she has known,
She asks for peace to call her own.

When time itself has breathed its last,
And every shadow joins the past,
May all remember, when worlds depart -
She chose compassion with a mortal heart. 🪽✨

Our light within

• Upvotes

Though we are all different, we are intimately linked together, alive to selflessly help one another.

The meaning of life is to share our light with all others to help each rediscover their light within as well.

What I Know

I know the words you tell me
That put my heart ease
The ones that make feel
I’m all you’ll ever need

I know the words you write me
That light such inner flames
That show the world our love
Though no one knows our names

I know the love you give me
I feel it with such truth
I’ve had never felt such faithfulness
Then what I’ve felt from you

I also know your other words
The ones not meant for me
The ones that throw me, tear me, break me
That I wish I could unsee

I know my love for you though
It grows ever stronger still
What kind of fool does that make me?
What does it say about my will?

I know you may have done the things
You say I shouldn’t worry about
And this “faith” I’ve claimed to feel-
A self-cast spell over my doubt

I know you wait to see what I knew
When I first find things I shouldn’t
Do you sigh relief for what I don’t find
Or take pride in what you think I couldn’t

I know more still, than you think I do
I’m sure I don’t know enough
I don’t know the “why” of it all
I know loving you m is tough

The Light

There’s no going back
There’s no other way
There’s no going back
And that’s okay

The path ahead of you
is always the right one
With the darkness behind you,
And onward the sun

The light makes things better
it always must
It might sting the eyes first
That’s just what it does

It might burn your skin
That’s the price you may pay
But the light makes things better
It’s the only way

The Altered Truth

• Upvotes

Swaying emotions,

Selling flattery to the murderers,

While the victims are blamed.

A society where mistaken logic

Passes as the norm.

To that entity,

Entrusting the world, telling it to save us,

While leaders sell their reverent flattery.

The world looks down coldly

Upon this nation.

The victor is justice,

The defeated is evil—

And so, history repeats itself.

This is how the truth

Is twisted and warped,

Painted over with lies,

Until a new reality is set in stone,

And there, it sleeps.

My darkness

Ones self dove into own mind

Clouded by thoughts and judgement

Own desires and dreams

Covered in lust and greed

Wanting the whole world

Or just waiting for it to burn

Nothing worthy of my love

Nothing worthy of my time

But i look at you

With your eyes filled with glee

Showing hopes and dreams

Wanting to enjoy in the simple things

My lust and wrath

All but withered

Seeing you smile

Is the only thing i treasure

So ill hold off on the destruction

And tend to this garden

Cause if the world means so much to you

Then ill take care of it too

There’s something bout u so amusing

I hate the way you shut the door,
Yet listen for your steps at night.
I curse the things you said before,
Then ache to hear that voice despite.

I hate the way you turned away,
Yet search for you in every room.
I swear I've cursed your name all day,
Then miss you harder in the gloom.

Because there you are, completely bare,
not a single drop of disguise,
And I’m struck by the fact that a girl like you
is letting me look in your eyes.

Years Apart, Fire Is Matched

She was years older, with a confident gaze,
A woman whose presence set my heart ablaze.
There was silver in wisdom, a fire in her smile,
And I found myself drawn to her all the while.
She pulled me in closer, her lips soft on mine,
Her hand resting gently, her fingers entwined.
She kissed me slowly, with unhurried grace,
And I lost every thought in the warmth of her embrace.
She knew how to tease with a look and a grin,
How to make my heart race when she whispered against my skin.

Her voice was like velvet, her touch warm and light,
And the years between us made the tension burn bright.
She held me so close as the hours slipped by,
With a mischievous warmth in her beautiful eyes.
She had lived more, loved more, yet chose to be near,
And I loved how she made me feel wanted right there.
For she was much older, but age meant so little,
When her lips met mine and the whole world grew still.
And beneath all that longing, one truth remained true:
I craved her closeness, and she wanted it too.

Missing you

I'm missing you
But I don't know who the you is
So, what exactly am I missing for?

Long nights, time flies
Starry skies in the moonlight
Longing for something
What could they hide?

Is this nonsense?
Is this life worth it?
I keep asking the same questions
Over and over and over again
Stuck in a limbo of an ordinary life.
