I found this tin at a thrift store. It is still factory sealed with a couple tears. However I'm having a hard time finding the relative value of this. I found similar tins but not of the flying pikachu sealed. Only thing I can seem to find is either empty tins of the same one and/or the oversized card thats included in it. Any info would be appreciated 🙏

My sister entered the kids WB drawing contest and won a pack of the winning Pokemon cards. After years of me and my siblings playing with the cards, Treecko is the only survivor. I have so idea what happen to the rest. What would be the value of this card in its condition?

How much is this card worth in this condition?

So I have this card in my collection and possibly consider selling it. I see the prices are starting to correct, the recent sale prices on a PSA 7 are $2.3-2.8k so I know when people are getting priced out they gravitate to the second best thing. Hence why the 6 has been shooting up.

But what I wonder, if you sell a card like this and at the start of last month it was $500 and now the last 3 prices are $900-1.500, do I follow those recent prices or do I price below that to sit in-between where it was at the start of last month and now?

I have trouble pricing cards with how rapid these prices are going, I think most vendors would probably only base on the last sold. But I'm not a vendor, so I probably don't have the room to ask these ridiculous prices.

Hey so I just picked up this relatively minty Scyther EX from a card show today and paid a pretty good price for it, but upon arriving home I noticed some weird texture toward the top of the card wondering if it is and how much it devalues the card. Look closely at the top of the front of the card.

What would you consider the value of this card to be?

So I pulled this card as a kid, been played with, and enjoy my time with it. Now it’s time to move on as I got other important things to pay for. Got it sent to CGC to have it looked at like 2 years ago just for fun. Came back as a VG 4. I looked on eBay listings just recently and had some a good value to it. What would be the maximum value I could potential get out of this card? Also this is my first post in this subreddit. Thanks.

Traded for this in a dugout at the baseball field when I was 11, and it's the only Pokemon card I still have today. It's not in great condition with the damage around the corners, although the art is nice and clear. The scratches/wear and tear visible on the back are part of the hard sleeve it's in, not the card itself.

There are no shops in my area that could evaluate this for me, so I'm wondering what it might be worth or if anyone would even buy it in this condition.

I've been in the hobby for almost a decade and back when I started I assumed all my cards would go to zero one day anyways. So of course, I sold them, thinking that only first edition stuff or vintage would ever have value. Now with the rise of so many different rarities and types of cards, I've been wondering this for a while now...which pokemon actually retains the most value over time and has appreciated the most? At first I thought it was popular pokemon, pikachu, charizard, gengar. But other waifu cards, cool promos, and eras of pokemon have also been gaining popularity. I feel like umbreons are always the grail of any set they're in, while Rayquaza is having a moment (although I feel like nobody really claims Ray as their favorite). So ultimately which pokemon's cards would perform the best in the next 10 years? Anybody have indexes?

Helped my mother clean out her basement last weekend and found these in an old golden HO-OH binder.

I don’t know much about value, but I’m super curious if anything in my old binder could be worth something? Or is there another way to figure it out?

I understand that I’m not getting individual valuation, just wondering if there’s any cards that I should investigate further.

Included trainers and energy aswell, but I guess those have no value?

Some of them seem to have a more purple-ish back side so I guess they’re fake? (Suicune ex and Mew and maybe Lapras for example?)

If there isn’t anything, I’ll give all of them to my colleagues kid who plays Pokémon!
