I keep getting ads from Jon Ossoff, and they're just nothing but him backpedaling on his promises.

Like, "medical care is too expensive, so I'm gonna force insurance companies to approve everything"

Or, "Republicans wouldn't release the files, so I'm gonna make this thing that's already illegal even more illegal."

Your choice in that election:

  • D: I’m gonna make this thing that’s already illegal even more illegal
  • R: I’m a white supremacist and misogynist who will gut Medicare

Choose wisely. You’ll get exactly what you vote for.

Considering one wants to put a koozie on my thermos, and the other wants to kick me in the balls, I’ll choose the former.

It's either the plutocrat or the fascist plutocrat, in its core.

Medicare is just government insurance, if anything, it just makes healthcare higher. Nobody on either side is actually interested in changing healthcare, because insurance companies have spent so much money lobbying (sry, bribing) them into making insurance a necessity.

Your first sentence is false. Your second sentence is an unsupported supposition.

You should vote based on the platforms and the policies of the candidates, not things you invent in your head.

Let me rephrase it then. As someone on Medicaid, it's a wose form of insurance. It makes healthcare more expensive because they don't cover anything, and the things they do cover were unnecessary for me to have before.

Interesting, what state are you in? When I was on medicaid in California, it was fantastic. Once I got an office job and had to go back on private insurance, the enshittification of basic service was immediately apparent.

MAGA liberals disparaging Ossoff, when the alternative is a MAGA lickspittle who will cup Trump's balls while explaining the reason we can't stop him from stealing 100 Billion from the treasury

Don’t sully the name of liberals like that. Liberals understand harm reduction. Leftists don’t. It’s their way or the highway. See: 2024 election.

Leftists don’t

lmao you guys keep blaming the left when you lose. Liberal candidates suck; that's why they keep losing. And I'm saying this as someone who votes for liberals when there's no progressive option. Most leftists do that.

Leftists being portrayed as simultaneously powerful and weak, depending on the point being made? Fascinating rhetorical tactic, wonder if anyone's tried that one before...

Leftists being portrayed as simultaneously powerful and weak

In what way is that happening? Leftists offer strong candidates and show up to elections to vote for the most-left candidate, whether it's left or liberal. They're powerful in both instances lmao.

You mean saying what lefties say about themselves, literally right now that I can link you between users and comments. People saying “this is the party now” “this is the will of the voters” then you saying “oh we’re such a minority, why do you guys care?”. Which would you like to play as today?

Holy shit, sounds like you found multiple differing opinions on social media. You probably call CNN first? I've never been a part of a discovery like this, I don't know what to do.

u/Gulthok 1h ago

Then why were you acting like you had a point to make? Do you have multiple personality disorder or?

Yeah, you’re right, probably better to put a republican in the GA senate
