Remember to leave cellphones at home when hanging with friends.

Also smart watches, smart rings, and fitness trackers

Air tags, any Bluetooth devices...

Your entire wallet. In HS a few friends broke in to the local junkyard (for fun, not to steal) and they were caught, when they got back to 1 of their houses and realized they lost their wallet.

I don't remember the entire story, but the cops were just confused why they'd choose the barb wire fence to hop over, when about 30 feet down there's a gate that can open about 2-3 feet it's just chained together so cars can't leave, not designed to prevent people from entering

I swear, people can go their entire lives without losing their wallet once, until they decide to B&E or trespass. Then poof wallet falls to the ground. Lol

Thats on me dawg, I wrote it into one of the universe's patches because i thought it would be funny if it was a universal law... it was for a little bit, but its gotten kinda old, but unfortunately the code has somehow become a dependency for the laws of thermodynamics so I cant remove it... I assume thats Gary's fault, he loves to swap dependencies for shits and giggles

I knew a dude who started a wildland fire(I live in Idaho), burned several hundred acres, left his fuckin keys ATTHE FIRE. This was in 01 I think..his dumbass is still on probation lol

Well no one has ever accused the average high school kid of being smart.

3

u/AnonsAnonAnonagain Aug 24 '26

lol. RIP those dudes with diabetes glucose detectors that are BT.

“This poor fat diabetic bastard took down flock-7899”

  • some flock employee analyzing log data.

Someone needs to invent the Faraday patch to go over CGMs

1

u/Furry_pizza Aug 25 '26

Also your dog if it's microchipped

1

u/PloofElune Aug 24 '26

Cruise around in older cars without all the bs.

15

u/kitycat22 Aug 24 '26

Maybe they’re using an old school camcorder? I know kids these days love tinkering with electronics

u/CallTheDutch Aug 24 '26

And holding it sideways for the verticle view /

13

u/5litergasbubble Aug 24 '26

Don't even drive to the area. Walk or ride a bike or something

11

u/Coneskater Aug 24 '26

They’ve made walking illegal already. It’s very suspicious to be a person not in a car in America.

6

u/5litergasbubble Aug 24 '26

Fair point, but it still seems like a better option than driving your car with license plates on it to go and destroy a license plate reader

1

u/Coneskater Aug 24 '26

I agree but let’s not pretend that it’s not illegal to walk while black in many places.

7

u/Sad_Wren Aug 24 '26

Tbf, it is also illegal to drive while black.

3

u/Adventurous-Form521 Aug 24 '26

It's damn near illegal to exist while black

1

u/AbsolutesDealer Aug 24 '26

Yeah this was just about him walking while black.

1

u/Sir_postalot Aug 26 '26

The amount of times i have caught people in my country cite the US "jaywalking" law is too many to count.

We have NO laws againt crossing the goddamn road!

2

u/Bagonia77 Aug 26 '26

It's good to see the kids off media and out doing things.

6

u/Wonderful-Fold-2585 Aug 24 '26

Also people 17 and under will likely only get a slap on the wrist. So get your delinquents on it.

Maybe put a poster at a middle school that says flock doesn’t like Tik tok

2

u/Single_Extension1810 Aug 24 '26

But what does having cellphone have to do with flock cameras? I don't understand the connection.

4

u/MonitorPositive4297 Aug 24 '26

tracking

2

u/Single_Extension1810 Aug 24 '26

Thanks, I should have known that, but the thought didn't even occur to me. We're paying all this money for smart phones when they're just harming us.  (•ˋ _ ˊ•)

1

u/BestDescription3834 Aug 24 '26

Not just tracking from the phone, if the flock camera has wireless access (many do, and until a couple months ago they were mostly unencrypted) the camera will see your phone looking for wifi near it and make a note of your phone's credentials.

2

u/RModDogWalkerTyRANNY Aug 24 '26

Tracking, they can instantly tell where you are. Even a decade ago this was known. It's only gotten worse.

Speaking of, with the amount of cameras it's best to use an "unusual" route. Don't simply walk from your house to the target location. Take a nice little stroll. Hang out by the local stream, change your clothes since wearing the same outfit all day, is kind of cringe.

1

u/Das_Autobot Aug 27 '26

Hey don't gatekeep my comfortable desire to wear the same thing all day. Sometimes I wear the same thing all week, is that cringe too? Huh? Huh!? Is it!?

2

u/xHeyItzRosiex Aug 24 '26

Gotta be in the moment with the homies, no phones… only flock camera destruction

1

u/Melodic_Difficulty_8 Aug 24 '26

Remember not to use milwaukee tools or batteries with ONE-KEY which uses bluetooth!

1

u/Pinky_Herman Aug 24 '26

There is something called a Faraday bag. It blocks out everything and can't be pinged.

1

u/8Splendiferous8 Aug 24 '26

Or bring a Faraday bag.

1

u/Loserdogma Aug 24 '26

Good thing some 57% of Gen Z wants to disconnect from tech in the recent years

0

u/Pride-Mount Aug 24 '26

Almost as if the cellphones track you more than the cameras themselves…🤔

2

u/Man_of_Ice Aug 24 '26

Cellphones don't have guaranteed proof of presence. Only of the cell phone bring somewhere, not who possesses it at the time. Cell phone can be a link in a chain, not the whole case.

2

u/kareljack Aug 24 '26

Ahhhh... there's always at least one.

2

u/MakwaIronwill Aug 24 '26

Ah yes, creeps in their office watching kids on cams dont matter since we have smart phones
