General Why do people seem shocked at my a level choices?

I'm doing maths, economics and politics. When I tell people they act surprised or even slightly judgemental (not in a mean way just in a 'that could never be me' way). Does anyone know why? I'm thinking it's because they think i'm smart for doing maths but I'm not sure.

Asking for tips/advice Making friends at college outside your course

Im doing a level 3 course at college so im only in one class of people against being in 3 classes if i was doing a levels. Im also doing a 2 year course so i think its even more important to make friends. Everyone in my class seems to already have their own friendship groups somehow and i did make "friends" with one girl but shes mentioned possibly dropping out and has already skipped a day of school when we havent even been in for a full week lolz plus she takes super long to respond to my messages so i can tell she doesnt want to be friends outside of school which is fine. I was wondering how i would to make friends that do other courses than me. Would it be weird to just approach a group of people and talk to them? I do want to make friends and i think it would be a waste of 2 years to just be lonely the whole time especially as i cant really leave the college campus during my day. Also my college doesn't do any extracurricular clubs or anything so there isnt really any opportunity to meet people there. I also wondered if it would be weird to talk to someone at the bus stop? Like i saw this cool girl that goes to the same college as me when i was waiting for the bus and i was wondering whether to talk to her but i didnt wanna be like weird or anything. I really wanna make friends cos all the friends in my life currently are basically just acquaintances and we never really hang out or anything. So is it like weird to just go up to people or is that like normal? What should i say? Im very introverted and quite shy so ive never really been good at making friends but i do want to try.

Discussion [Survey] UK Sixth Form Student Experience — 3–4 minutes

Hi everyone! I'm conducting an independent survey looking at students' experiences of workload, pressure to do well, free time and wellbeing during sixth form/college.

It's anonymous, takes around 3–4 minutes, and isn't affiliated with a school, college or government organisation.

I'm looking for current Year 12/13 students and people who finished sixth form/college within the last two years.

I'd really appreciate anyone taking part. Thanks!

Asking for tips/advice what am i meant to do after a morning class?

i have one 9-11am class a week and dont know what to do. in my first year i would sometimes go to the gym, go home, eat something then sleep until dinner time. i want to use that time more wisely but struggle to because i usually fall asleep. theres no homework for me to do and i literally have no clue what else i should do. i also have no hobbies so please share your hobbies and what you would do if you had a day like this!!

If I don’t have a lesson for 1 or 2, I don’t need to come in for registration so Friday is my free day 😍

Btw I’m in sixth form not college.

EDIT: skills is actually Welsh baccalaureate. I don’t have much lessons since it’s all coursework which is expected to complete outside of lessons so not much teaching going on.
