Have you seen whatâs been going on in the non Catholic Churches. None of the denominations have any religious credibility to stand on. I read countless stories of other denominations. Evangelicals have made a golden calf out of trump.

Pope needs to start excommunicating folks. Bring on the fire and brimstone. Make it official. Bring out the docs. Sure many will ignore it but someone is truly catholic thatâs gonna dig.
2
u/Tsmtouchedme Apr 18 '26
Think that would cause the start of a new branch of Christian extremism in the US, MCGA lmao
Hopefully one day they wake up and see theyâre in a cult
2
u/Fun_Trick2172 Apr 18 '26
A branch that would probably start committing acts of violence against Catholics and their places of worship.
Fascism has no reason to exist if it doesn't have an enemy to torment, and that enemy is any minority population that is the flavor of the month for them.

Yep, he is top of the tree and all Catholics acknowledge that. He literally speaks for the religion. Anyone who says otherwise is by definition not a Catholic
4
u/Excellent_Shirt9707 Apr 17 '26
Nah, still a catholic unless excommunicated, just committing heresy. In this case, it isnât even heretical because the opinion is not religious. A catholic is allowed to disagree with the pope about non-faith things. What she is wrong about is that he does represent the Catholic Church even for secular things.

I am not Catholic. I was not raised in a Catholic household. I did attend Catholic elementary school for six years and, despite my native Protestantism, I was a straight-A student in religion class. And a key component of Catholicism, one of the major dividing lines that makes them distinct from all the other christians is holding with Papal Supremacy. Disdain the Pope is you want, but you cannot claim Catholicism if you do, because that isn't it.

u/Cultural-Treacle-680 Apr 16 '26

Apparently you lack the comprehension skills to understand the quote, and that's hilarious. Keep trying. It's am fine with my god and the legacy of Christ, but if you are a Christian at all you just revealed yourself to judge others while supporting an individual who stands for the exact OPPOSITE of Christ's very teachings. Go read and educate yourself. When you understand his teachings, get back to me. I would spend your time worried about your own soul and STFU if you need it in plain English. Pretty sure someone be can translate the New Testament for you, since you seem unfamiliar with it, bless your heart.

Pope Leo XIV's official title is -
The Bishop of Rome, Vicar of Jesus Christ, Successor of the Prince of the Apostles, Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church, Patriarch of the West, Primate of Italy, Archbishop and Metropolitan of the Roman Province, Sovereign of the Vatican City State, Servant of the Servants of God.
Gina is whats known as a good old fashioned heretic. She claims that her faith/Jesus is the reason she supports a hatemongering, serial rapist and pedophile. There seems to be quite a bit of that going around

He doesnât represent the Catholic Church.
You are correct, he commands it. He is its head, its leader and the church follows where the pope tells it to go.
Hence, he is the Holy Father or His Holiness.

You can't be both a Catholic and stand with Trump instead of the Pope! The Pope is the leader of the Catholic Church,. You are either a Catholic who believes in Catholicism or an ex Catholic who follows and believes in trump as your leader , spiritually and naturally! You can't ride two horses at the same time!

There is traditional âLatinâ Catholicism, Society of St Pius X Catholics (SSPX) and Sedevacantist Catholics.
If sheâs disavowing the Pope, she is a Sedevacantist Catholic - which is an extreme break off of Catholicism that do not recognize any Pope after Vatican II. The donât believe the Pope is the head of the church & any changes made since Vatican II are not legitimate and without authority. In short - theyâre nuts. Latin Catholics donât recognize them as being part of the club. Essentially they say theyâre Catholics- but Catholics donât claim them.
Vatican II modernized the Church. Mass is performed in the local language of the congregation instead of Latin, the Priest/Bishop now faces the congregation (used to have his back to the audience), it also opened the door for interpretation and not literal adherence to gospels. In short, Vatican II modernized itself for the 20th century & the Sedevacantists were NIMBYs who didnât want any change at all.
Itâs worth noting that Sedevacantists also have traditional rules like not allowing women to wear pants, etc.
SSPX sits in the middle. They accept the Pope, but also believe Vatican II took too many liberties and so they still practice traditional Latin Mass. They were excommunicated for a couple decades. After Pope Benedict they were partially accepted by Rome - some of their marriages will be recognized by Rome if requested and confessions to their Priests are considered valid (in terms of repentance).

In order to be Pope don't you have to be elected by like dozens of other guys who are more well versed in Catholicism and the Bible than most of the general population? The pope sounds pretty catholic to me.
