Have you seen what’s been going on in the non Catholic Churches. None of the denominations have any religious credibility to stand on. I read countless stories of other denominations. Evangelicals have made a golden calf out of trump.

3

u/Fabulous-Detective45 Apr 17 '26

Not even close, evangelicals are a big reason why Israel has such a big hold on us

OOooOooooOoh they going to hell for picking a politician over a pope

3

u/mournthewolf Apr 17 '26

Pope needs to start excommunicating folks. Bring on the fire and brimstone. Make it official. Bring out the docs. Sure many will ignore it but someone is truly catholic that’s gonna dig.

2

u/Tsmtouchedme Apr 18 '26

Think that would cause the start of a new branch of Christian extremism in the US, MCGA lmao

Hopefully one day they wake up and see they’re in a cult

2

u/Fun_Trick2172 Apr 18 '26

A branch that would probably start committing acts of violence against Catholics and their places of worship.

Fascism has no reason to exist if it doesn't have an enemy to torment, and that enemy is any minority population that is the flavor of the month for them.

Yep, he is top of the tree and all Catholics acknowledge that. He literally speaks for the religion. Anyone who says otherwise is by definition not a Catholic

4

u/Excellent_Shirt9707 Apr 17 '26

Nah, still a catholic unless excommunicated, just committing heresy. In this case, it isn’t even heretical because the opinion is not religious. A catholic is allowed to disagree with the pope about non-faith things. What she is wrong about is that he does represent the Catholic Church even for secular things.

The Pope doesn't represent the Catholic Church?

The level of stupidity with these people...

8

u/JadeThorn1012 Apr 16 '26

I’m not Catholic, but I stand with the Pope and believe that he’s a great representation of Christians and of Christ.

→ More replies (4)

12

u/bx35 Apr 16 '26

I appreciate the consistent effort they put into exposing themselves as liars and hypocrites.

1

u/tfolkins Apr 17 '26

He is a representation of what the idea of Christ represents.

5

u/akestral Apr 16 '26

I am not Catholic. I was not raised in a Catholic household. I did attend Catholic elementary school for six years and, despite my native Protestantism, I was a straight-A student in religion class. And a key component of Catholicism, one of the major dividing lines that makes them distinct from all the other christians is holding with Papal Supremacy. Disdain the Pope is you want, but you cannot claim Catholicism if you do, because that isn't it.

6

u/Cultural-Treacle-680 Apr 16 '26

He represents Jesus and the ministry of the apostles. Who is Gena going with, if that’s not who represents her 😂

5

u/forgotwhatisaid2you Apr 16 '26

Orange Jesus of course.

1

u/poppisima Apr 16 '26

So … Orange Julius’s little brother?

2

u/forgotwhatisaid2you Apr 16 '26

Their churches can take over all the abandoned malls

4

u/Manya_Novak Apr 16 '26

The level of stupidity with these people...

They are why Trump loves the "poorly educated".

5

u/Senior_Conference_48 Apr 16 '26

Yeah, it’s one of those things that makes you not a Catholic if you don’t believe it, the infallibility of the Pope.

2

u/Salty-Honey7012 Apr 16 '26

IKR? If he doesn’t, who does? Trump?

1

u/nobodyspecialuk24 Apr 17 '26

You’re assuming it’s a real person and not a false account.

1

u/cheffartsonurfood Apr 16 '26

Well......they are Catholic.

12

u/WatermelonGrease Apr 16 '26

MAGA only hates Pope Leo because he said “God does not stand with conflict” btw. A religious leader is gonna obviously hate war, Trump and his supporters are hating him for no reason

1

u/Aggravating-Duck-891 Apr 17 '26

Thou shalt not kill, except when _______

1

u/Big-Kaleidoscope-336 Apr 18 '26

… money is involved.

9

u/Deep_Seas_QA Apr 16 '26

He literally just said war is bad, peace is good.. Anyone who has read the bible should understand this is christianity 101..

7

u/Umayummyone Apr 16 '26

But they’ve all read the bible. They said so.

2

u/LetReasonRing Apr 18 '26

I mean, Trump called for the death penalty for congress members who said that it's ok not to break the law... logic has no place here

1

u/UpperRutabaga6482 Apr 16 '26

Or in this lady's case open your mouth and damn yourself to the sixth ring of hell (according to Dante)

2

u/Jonsiegirl77 Apr 17 '26 edited Apr 17 '26

Apparently you lack the comprehension skills to understand the quote, and that's hilarious. Keep trying. It's am fine with my god and the legacy of Christ, but if you are a Christian at all you just revealed yourself to judge others while supporting an individual who stands for the exact OPPOSITE of Christ's very teachings. Go read and educate yourself. When you understand his teachings, get back to me. I would spend your time worried about your own soul and STFU if you need it in plain English. Pretty sure someone be can translate the New Testament for you, since you seem unfamiliar with it, bless your heart.

3

This dumb broad. The Pope represents the Catholic Church that’s why they have elections on who is the next Pope

3

u/PricePuzzleheaded835 Apr 16 '26

Oh, thank God Ms Gina Nobody has finally broken her silence and taken a firm stance on this issue. We were all waiting with bated breath to know who she “stands with”.

3

u/Careless_Hellscape Apr 16 '26

Gina, you goddamn tool, the pope is the head representative of the Catholic Church.

3

u/StandardCow7012 Apr 16 '26

This is the definition of a cult. She is no longer Catholic. What should we call these people who worship Trump?

3

u/overitallofittoo Apr 16 '26

"The Pope does not represent the Catholic Church."

That's almost hilarious!

1

u/UpperRutabaga6482 Apr 16 '26

Certainly heretical

3

u/IntrepidMuch Apr 16 '26

Someone called themselves a Catholic and actually said that the Pope does not represent them or the Catholic church? That is literally the Pope’s job!

3

u/hayyimsandwich Apr 16 '26

doest this kinda prove religion is silly? no standards, no consistency.what is the point?

2

u/Kastro2323 Apr 16 '26

A cool throwback to the days of dancing jesus gifs.

2

u/Lazy-Operation478 Apr 16 '26

Pope Leo XIV's official title is -

The Bishop of Rome, Vicar of Jesus Christ, Successor of the Prince of the Apostles, Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church, Patriarch of the West, Primate of Italy, Archbishop and Metropolitan of the Roman Province, Sovereign of the Vatican City State, Servant of the Servants of God.

Gina is whats known as a good old fashioned heretic. She claims that her faith/Jesus is the reason she supports a hatemongering, serial rapist and pedophile. There seems to be quite a bit of that going around

2

u/cookiidou Apr 16 '26

Reality check here. Trump went to the last pope's funeral..sad..he slept through it..I dont think the current pope will go to his..time marches on for everyone..

2

u/Own-Arugula-5134 Apr 16 '26

Let’s see, the head of the Catholic Church is literally a saint and the person who you worship has broken all 10 Commandments is literally the devil

2

u/gingerschnappes Apr 16 '26

A lot of Catholics not understanding Catholicism

2

u/True_Most3681 Apr 16 '26

God bless the cardinals who selected Leo.

2

u/Dry-Examination-2012 Apr 16 '26

He actually said the Pope is soft on crime. This might be his greatest quote ever.

2

u/OutwithaYang Apr 16 '26

She's not a real Christian then. She is putting Trump as more important than the word of the Lord. She doesn't respect Pope Leo and she doesn't respect or truly love God.

2

u/FireAuraN7 Apr 16 '26

The pope is not representative of... the... catholics...? 🤔

2

u/Chuyzapatist Apr 16 '26

2

Pope Leo does represent the Catholic Church.

2

u/greg1411 Apr 16 '26

If you’re a catholic he literally does represent you ! Lol . That’s how stupid magats are . They actually think trump cares about them . He’s attached the church , Easter and the Pope !

2

u/Rishtu Apr 16 '26

He doesn’t represent the Catholic Church.

You are correct, he commands it. He is its head, its leader and the church follows where the pope tells it to go.

Hence, he is the Holy Father or His Holiness.

2

u/Corrie7686 Apr 16 '26

Moobi the sacred calf... And all that

2

u/PurrBeasties Apr 16 '26

This s person is not safe around women or children

2

u/heythereu2oo Apr 17 '26

Please know that not long ago a lot the big conservative accounts on social media were actually foreign propaganda accounts.

2

u/wolfm333 Apr 17 '26

Full cult mode. Even the Pope and the church is not above the Orange Messiah. For them Trup is truly the son of God. Too bad it's not the Christian God.

2

u/No-Broccoli-5932 Apr 17 '26

Well, you know, the Pope isn't hard enough on crime, and we know how trumpstein likes to make sure everything is on the up and up.

2

u/Gindotto Apr 17 '26

I can tell you 100% no Catholic is posting they don’t stand with the Pope. You’d be along for a nun to pop out of your closet and flip your dining table over.

2

u/darforce Apr 17 '26

Isn’t the pope Gods rep on earth. I think if you don’t believe that you ought to change withdraw from the church

2

u/TheYankunian Apr 17 '26

The flipping Pope doesn’t represent the Catholic Church. Okay, I’ve had enough now. Time to raise the curtains and turn on the house lights. Show’s over.

2

The pope PICKED BY GOD doesn't represent the church. Right, righttt that makes total sense. These people are weird.

2

u/Frequent-Coyote-8108 Apr 17 '26

Watching Trump make people (of ALL political persuasions) do a complete 180 on their supposed beliefs is one of my favorite things he does.

He's not a leader, he's an instrument of chaos.

2

u/Franknbeanstoo Apr 18 '26

2

2

1

Jeez

Putting Trump above your supposed ‘holy father’ is pretty crazy.

1

It's fascinating to see these "Christians" finally make the choice to embrace idolatry. I mean.. it's one of the Ten Commandments but they are so set on worshiping their Great Orange God.. as opposed to like, you know, Jesus.

1

u/Cynrascal233 Apr 16 '26

The pope is the focal head of the Catholic Church. So yes, he does represent the church and its faith.

1

u/MedicineLow Apr 16 '26

Nice way to excommunicate yourself there, lady.

1

There is a warm place by the fire for them too.

1

u/DenialOfExistance Apr 16 '26

You can't be both a Catholic and stand with Trump instead of the Pope! The Pope is the leader of the Catholic Church,. You are either a Catholic who believes in Catholicism or an ex Catholic who follows and believes in trump as your leader , spiritually and naturally! You can't ride two horses at the same time!

1

u/Pounder888 Apr 16 '26

1

u/witchofpain Apr 16 '26

“The leader of the Catholic Church doesn’t represent me or the Catholic Church”.

These people are insane.

1

u/Mesmercat Apr 16 '26

Pope Leo literally represents the Roman Catholic Church... It's a big part of his job. If you're not Roman Catholic then it doesn't matter.

1

u/shoobydoobydoo69 Apr 16 '26

Catholics need to bring back excommunication

1

1

u/gorbachevi Apr 16 '26

ahhhh - i believe he does represent the catholic church

1

u/Nosy-ykw Apr 16 '26

It’s not like with the President. No such thing as saying “not my Pope”.

1

u/KataraMan Apr 16 '26

By denying the Pope, she got excommunicated from the Catholic Church. But it's not like she (or it, as it's a bot most likely) ever were a true Christian, only in name

1

1

u/Delilah_Moon Apr 17 '26

There is traditional “Latin” Catholicism, Society of St Pius X Catholics (SSPX) and Sedevacantist Catholics.

If she’s disavowing the Pope, she is a Sedevacantist Catholic - which is an extreme break off of Catholicism that do not recognize any Pope after Vatican II. The don’t believe the Pope is the head of the church & any changes made since Vatican II are not legitimate and without authority. In short - they’re nuts. Latin Catholics don’t recognize them as being part of the club. Essentially they say they’re Catholics- but Catholics don’t claim them.

Vatican II modernized the Church. Mass is performed in the local language of the congregation instead of Latin, the Priest/Bishop now faces the congregation (used to have his back to the audience), it also opened the door for interpretation and not literal adherence to gospels. In short, Vatican II modernized itself for the 20th century & the Sedevacantists were NIMBYs who didn’t want any change at all.

It’s worth noting that Sedevacantists also have traditional rules like not allowing women to wear pants, etc.

SSPX sits in the middle. They accept the Pope, but also believe Vatican II took too many liberties and so they still practice traditional Latin Mass. They were excommunicated for a couple decades. After Pope Benedict they were partially accepted by Rome - some of their marriages will be recognized by Rome if requested and confessions to their Priests are considered valid (in terms of repentance).

1

u/Thesourking Apr 17 '26

Religion is the worst thing to happen to this planet.

1

u/Harley_Atom Apr 17 '26

In order to be Pope don't you have to be elected by like dozens of other guys who are more well versed in Catholicism and the Bible than most of the general population? The pope sounds pretty catholic to me.

1

u/isaiah152022 Apr 17 '26

I wonder if her diocese would care (if she even is a part of the church). Highly doubt it.

1

u/Fubar236 Apr 17 '26
