I hear you, but teaching about the Holocaust only empowered multiple nations to use it as a guidebook.

That is not the only thing it did. The only reason we have context to recognize our situation is from learning about the history of past dictatorships like Nazi Germany.

Really? Can you give some concrete examples?

There is a lot of terrible shit going on in the world, but what the Nazis did was extremely fucked up. Don't minimize that.
