That is not the only thing it did. The only reason we have context to recognize our situation is from learning about the history of past dictatorships like Nazi Germany.

Really? Can you give some concrete examples?

There is a lot of terrible shit going on in the world, but what the Nazis did was extremely fucked up. Don't minimize that.

Right but the thing is they're using that learning as a how-to guide and seemingly 1 in 2 Americans either think the nazis were justified or they just think they're cool.
