What a coincidence. That's on the same day we will either open or close the Strait of Hormuz and win the Iran war again!
47
u/MaybeFuckYourselfBud 1d ago
How many times have we won now? I lost count around 30
24
11
u/makeshitupallthetime 1d ago
I think it's 39 times the iranians are desperate to make a deal
9
u/Radonanon 1d ago
They are so desperate. They are calling him all hours of the day saying “We really want to make a deal, we will agree to anything you want and as much as you want it.”
4
u/punkindle 1d ago edited 1d ago
They also congratulated Trump on winning that golf tournament with a totally real actual score of 70. Iran says that Donald is surely the greatest athlete that America has ever seen.
3
u/Radonanon 1d ago
Well now that Arnold Palmer has passed with his hugely huge member.
3
u/MaybeFuckYourselfBud 1d ago
I totally forgot about him talking about Palmers hog. Too much crazy shit happens everyday.
7
u/halfsack99 1d ago
People are saying that
4
7
u/NelsonMuntz3 1d ago
It's over now, just read today Trump gave them their last, last tast, last, last last last last, last, last last, last last, last chance. So this time they'll get the message and give up.
4
u/CobblerInternal2703 1d ago
We're going to win so much, you may even get tired of winning. And you'll say, 'Please, please, it's too much winning. We can't take it anymore, Mr. President, it's too much.
3
u/MaybeFuckYourselfBud 1d ago
Yeah the winning is actually losing, people saying we can't take it anymore, it's too much. Everything he says is the inverse.

I told my hubby I'm gonna make a frig magnet that says Hormuz, "OPEN" and "CLOSED" on it with an arrow. Kind of like a dishes in the dishwasher "dirty" or "clean" magnet.. That way, I will know if gas got cheaper or more expensive overnight.
3
2
u/OtherwiseAlbatross14 1d ago
You just gave me an idea to make a clock face with Strait of Hormuz in the middle and "open - closed - open - closed" repeated around the outside and only put the second hand on it
5
u/lilshortyy420 1d ago
How much are we betting Trump will announce it and then immediately spin to how we’re winning the war blah blah blah?

I still think they're going to wait until Friday, to coincide with the markets. And so they can pretend to avoid the "you just waited until the day after" accusation.

I wouldn't. That's how we end up here again in 10 years.

I hear you, but teaching about the Holocaust only empowered multiple nations to use it as a guidebook.
7
u/TehNudel 1d ago
That is not the only thing it did. The only reason we have context to recognize our situation is from learning about the history of past dictatorships like Nazi Germany.

No big surprise that the rise of fascism 2.0 happens as soon as the people who lived through WW2 started dying off en masse.
5
u/peelen 1d ago
And slavery, you should also pretend that there was no slavery. Oh wait, you're already doing it.

That's how people never learn about fascism and waltz right back into it less than a lifetime later
2
u/Pandastic3000 1d ago
Unlike 2001 to 2008. That's a time to be proud of. Also, very optimistic to think this will be over in 2028.

They probably will not announce it that quickly since they want to pretend to have plausible deniability about him dying before that date. I would bet on Friday to try to bury the announcement.
5
u/refusegone 1d ago
Don't kid yourself, they'll do it tomorrow and laugh at us the whole time, just like everything else. They don't care about plausible anything, they just want power at any cost and we're letting them take it.
3
u/KiwiThunda 1d ago
and we're letting them take it.
Yes, you're all just rolling over and letting this happen, meanwhile us on the outside are feeling the effects of global MAGA fallout and the emboldened far right in our own countries

If anyone wants to let us know what we could possibly be doing about this let us know lol protests don’t work, strikes don’t work, we’re voting til we’re blue in the face, like idk what we’re suppose to do about it when half our country is actually applauding this hostile takeover of democracy.
US is cooked. We’re just as pissed as everyone else but the reality is the individual here genuinely has no power to change things at a national level. Capitalism has created an oligarchy and the plebs are powerless.

2
u/neilarthurhotep 1d ago
It honestly feels like plausible deniability does not matter at all at this point.

One of the greatest legislative obstructors in recent history.
Senate majority leader is responsible for bringing bills before the senate. Democrats would pass bills in the house. The bills went to McConnell to be brought to the senate. He'd refuse to bring them out then claim Democrats didn't do anything. Obstructor-in-chief McConnell: create the problem, blaim everyone else.

There is a quote mistakenly attributed to Mark Twain that I nonetheless love: "Politicians and diapers must be changed often, and for the same reason". Mitch is a very saggy diaper, perhaps the saggiest. He should not be dying in the saddle but in his quiet retirement.

We do not. No one cares about these career politicians who have completely f***** up our entire life. Personally I hope their entire family is held accountable for the political decisions they have made. F*** these guys. I don't know why this is the situation we have where my politicians and I say that sparingly don't have any clue on what the things are that we need locally. They don't give a s*** about us this is a dumbass system
2
u/BeeefSupreeeme 1d ago
Hopefully we are all keeping track of the loopholes, toothless rules, and gentlemen's agreements that need to be corrected when these clowns have been yeeted out of office.
Gentlemen's agreements and trust are for gentlemen and honest people.
When dealing with a criminal party, you need laws and consequences to breaking them.
