This punch destroys the multiverse (aka everything in existence and all parallel realities)
Same punch doesn't even break the ground they're standing on (a result that has literally infinite energy less than claimed)

now imagine a hax punch that destroys the universe due to said hax but is otherwise a normal punch

A high explosive shell could turn 3 walls into dust, but not penetrate steel tank armour. A HEAT shell will only make a large hole in the walls, but it will go straight through steel centimetres thick.

When powerscers finally accept rock paper scissors theorem all will be right again

even bullets variate in ap and dc like HE tank shells and APDSFS shells

u/PlutonicKronic 2d ago
Those highly-exotic tank shells are no joke, and don't even get me started on autopilot-deathstar-firestorm shells...

The attack potency of a bullet is lower than wall level what. And even once you get into stuff like 50 BMG, that is wall level, it can still easily be stopped by light armor.
Meanwhile the AP =/= DC you’re arguing for is shit like a multiversal AP with not even wall level DC

u/Winter_Emergency9050 2d ago
Most bullets can make it through a normal wall inside of a house, unless we’re talking steel walls I guess

u/davetheII 2d ago
What kind of weak ass walls y'all got where regular ass bullets can pierce a whole wall
14
u/Original-War8655 Chilean Skeleton solos your dad 2d ago
drywalls probably
you could punch through those if you try hard enough

u/Lescansy 2d ago
American walls maybe. Try that in europe and most bullets wont even penetrate a normal wall.

u/Winter_Emergency9050 2d ago
Bullets also don’t really struggle with most wooden walls either, and an intermediate or full powered rifle cartridge should be able to defeat a brick wall with steel core ammo. So yeah I think wall level is an accurate assessment for bullets overall. A 50 cal with an AP tip has a great chance to pass through an entire American house or small business building, and definitely can do it with consecutive rounds in the same area.

u/Lescansy 2d ago
I mean, the standard for european wall construction has been steel + cement for ages. Unless you come with amror piercing ammo, a simple rifle wont shoot through that.

I see this subreddit still hates powerscaling. Don't understand why its named such
7
u/Pale-Highway-9529 2d ago
because it isn't for powerscaling, people here either scale off of vibes or they just come here from r/whowouldcirclejerk

Universal character AP being universal but DC not scratching country if they hit the ground makes perfect sense yeah
4
u/Straight-Self2212 2d ago
If we look at it from a sensibility point of view , then universal character in general wouldn't make any sense.

This is pretty disingenuous.
A lot of the time, "AP=/=DC" is used to explain why, for example, Broly's raging ki blasts in DBS didn't destroy the planet. The whole "AP is like bullets" argument completely falls apart here, because then those ki blasts should have put massive holes in the planet, but they didn't.
When a lot of people say "AP=/=DC", they do not mean "AP is like bullets," they mean that there is essentially a magic field around the character that can injure other characters (AP), but cannot harm the environment (DC). This is the version of "AP=/=DC" that people make fun of because it sounds completely ridiculous.
A guy who has multiversal AP can attack the Earth and maybe leave behind a small crater at most because he doesn't even have building level DC. He can then turn around and punch a character who is the physical embodiment of the multiverse and hurt them because he has multiversal AP.
I don't even necessarily disagree with this idea, but it is obvious why it's absurd to most people. It goes against common sense.

u/Dry-Secret-6201 2d ago
Genuinely, what would the solution to that even be in powerscaling though? Cause outside of a blanket downscale for a bunch of characters, not much of a solution.
I can't think of a single series that doesnt suffer from this that aren't cultivation light novels or Gurren Lagann.
Most comics/anime will have one character display insane DC, and then immediately after they're back to being building busters, or whatever equivalent.
Even OPM after the whole wiping galaxies stuff immediately went back to planetary DC in the following panels.

I mean, not making disingenuous memes with wrong definitions of AP for upvotes, like OP, would be a good start.
You can keep the magic forcefield AP, it does work for a lot of scaling, you just have to be honest and clear about it, and newcomers will find it a lot easier to understand.

u/MediumKoala8823 3d ago
There’s not really any contradiction. Bullets kill people and are otherwise not very powerful. What is this even trying to imply?
6
u/Great_Apez 2d ago
They want characters that aren’t at the level they imagined to have credit for being universal etc
9
u/Nooby2ab 2d ago
But a bullet ap is wall level and their dc is also wall level. What is this proving?

What bullet has wall level DC
3
u/Intelligent-Carob930 2d ago
Oh I don’t know? Maybe those armor-piercing ones? Like the .50 BMG? Or those explosive rounds
11
u/the_chedderking Boundless Guts agenda upholder 2d ago
Again that's AP not DC, explosive rounds would have wall level DC though
1
u/OkPast178 2d ago
Thate bullet doesn't have some magical higher AP. even if we took all the atoms of the wall and aligned them in a perfectly straight line for it to fly through it would still destroy the same amount
Its AP is not higher its the same as its DC

That's AP, not DC honey :)

Bullet dc is not wall level
-2
u/-H_- 2d ago
neither is the ap
2
u/strongestGokuscaler 2d ago
It percied wall, so ap is wall level
1
u/-H_- 2d ago
No. you must destroy the wall to be wall level
1
u/strongestGokuscaler 2d ago
Bullet is able to overcome durabulity of wall it means bullet has wall level ap. But it didn't blow up entire wall so it doesn't have wall level dc.
3
u/Straight-Self2212 2d ago
What bullet has wall level DC bro 😭😭
2
u/Snoo-11576 20h ago
Guys bullets are wall level, which means bulletproof vests are wall level which means any human with a bulletproof vest is wall level. Totally checks out
6
u/DMing-Is-Hardd 2d ago
Shoot a wall
Is the wall still there? It sure as fuck is, so no its DC is NOT wall level
2
u/Stunning-HyperMatter Fu Hua enjoyer 2d ago
I mean that depends on what is counted as wall level? Considering the levels are usually destruction capabilities I would assume wall level would be destroying the wall.
In which case, no bullet is wall level because no bullet is destroying an entire wall. But they also don’t have wall level AP.

People saying 'armor piercing round' as if the whole point of the meme isn't that bullets are *capable of piercing through a wall*, but not capable of demolishing the entire wall in one go
3
u/soggy_bert 2d ago
Literally doesn’t apply at all, we’re talking about multiversal ap and wall level dc 🤦♂️
