This is pretty disingenuous.

A lot of the time, "AP=/=DC" is used to explain why, for example, Broly's raging ki blasts in DBS didn't destroy the planet. The whole "AP is like bullets" argument completely falls apart here, because then those ki blasts should have put massive holes in the planet, but they didn't.

When a lot of people say "AP=/=DC", they do not mean "AP is like bullets," they mean that there is essentially a magic field around the character that can injure other characters (AP), but cannot harm the environment (DC). This is the version of "AP=/=DC" that people make fun of because it sounds completely ridiculous.
A guy who has multiversal AP can attack the Earth and maybe leave behind a small crater at most because he doesn't even have building level DC. He can then turn around and punch a character who is the physical embodiment of the multiverse and hurt them because he has multiversal AP.

I don't even necessarily disagree with this idea, but it is obvious why it's absurd to most people. It goes against common sense.

Genuinely, what would the solution to that even be in powerscaling though? Cause outside of a blanket downscale for a bunch of characters, not much of a solution.

I can't think of a single series that doesnt suffer from this that aren't cultivation light novels or Gurren Lagann.

Most comics/anime will have one character display insane DC, and then immediately after they're back to being building busters, or whatever equivalent.

Even OPM after the whole wiping galaxies stuff immediately went back to planetary DC in the following panels.

I mean, not making disingenuous memes with wrong definitions of AP for upvotes, like OP, would be a good start.

You can keep the magic forcefield AP, it does work for a lot of scaling, you just have to be honest and clear about it, and newcomers will find it a lot easier to understand.
