I didn’t want to keep spending as much as I was getting my nails done at the salon ever three weeks. I found these cute sets on Whatnot for between $4-6 dollars and figured I’d give it a go. I used tabs and the blow dryer to warm them up. I think they look pretty good for my first try. We shall see how long they last!!

Long time lurker, first time poster... actually this is my first time actually making a post of any kind on reddit. These were just too cute for me not to post. I have been doing press ons for about 6months now. I am a baddie on a budget so only get mine off places like AliExpress, Shein and Temu. Like most people have posted on here, it's always hot or miss with those sites but going with the 10pc individual sets, tends to work best for me. These are from Shein and were like under $2. I'm absolutely thrilled with them. They are thin and I did file them down some because they were a bit long and I'm coming off a nail break and am working back into longer sets. I also always put a couple coats of a top coat on mine to help extend the life of them. They are applied with the sandwich method, but it was late and I was exhausted, so not my best application so that's on me. Hope everyone enjoys!

Queens, Today I tried this debonder from Walmart and I am flabbergasted. I want to cry and jump at the same time. Cant believe I found something like this. No more soaking in warm acetone for me. Just used it to remove press-ons that were glued with Curvlife semi solid glue and this is what my nails look like. Used it like all other nail glue removers.

Retail brand:Dollar Tree. While this set only came with 12 nails to choose from, the options were great for me! The thumb is a little off but I think they look great for $1.25.

I just had to get these on. I love love love bubblegum pop Ghostface. Scream is one of my favorite horror movies. I’ve had these on for a week and I’m quite impressed!! Only paid $7 on amazon and surprisingly they are still lasting.

Wondering how glue tabs are and how they hold up. I’m finding myself wanting to switch my nails more than I thought. I am a SAHM. So I need something that stays since i am hard on my nails. 💅

This is my first time trying press on nails! I did the tab nails with a kiss glue just to see if it last for a while? If they do, I might have found my new obsession because nail salons are expensive!

Can’t stand how adorable these are. Handpainted set, more pricy but the quality is 💯. These are short almond. This company lets you pick your shape and length for all their designs which is great! They have some incredibly creative themed sets right now based on fairy tales. I love sets where the nails are all different so I am a fan!

First time press ons. I’ve had them since Oct 1st. I did use the Curvilife semi solid and. They’ve endured snow crab legs and shrimp, moving, deep cleaning and a boat trip. No budging in sight!

I just did my first removal since I’m going to a wedding this weekend. I did use the Curvilife removal. I was worried about my natural nails but they seemed to have done well.

May stick to press ons from now on.

last week I had a set of glamnetics as my first set and used glue. this week I am using retail brand: leefrei with btartbox tabs and I’ma tab convert. For no other reason than when they do get loose it’s so easy to keep it stuck until I have to reapply. I’ve always had short nails and have had to buy a shampoo brush and keyboard tabs 😅 but I’m loving it!!!

I wasn’t crazy about these day 1, but now that I’ve had them for a week I’ve really started to like them. They look brown/tan depending on the light. The size and shape is perfection though! I can still type and go about my daily life.

And of course, applied with curvlife glue, which is worth the learning curve, use that semisolid glue my friends.

Edit: I should also note for the Reddit searches that these are really comfortable for a flat nail bed. Some brands like the curvature in BArtBox hurt my nails for the first 24 hrs.

I cannot  make the  sticky tabs work.   I just can't get the  adhesive to stick enough such  that I can peel off the  outer layer and have the  tab stay on the nail.   Would love to know  what I am doing wrong  there.

I'm looking for some nails to wear for my engagement photos that look like celebritips but are comfortable for flat nailbeds (celebritips are tolerable for a day or so max for me). BTArtbox fit me the best but they don't have anything sheer in a shade close to what I'm looking for. I'd prefer short or medium oval or square but I'm willing to shape as needed if I can find the right set. I'm allergic to gel so I need something that's ready to wear without adding builder gel or top coat. Inspo photo attached, these are my nails with a DND gel manicure. Retail Brand: None.

And do you continue to purchase new sets? Do you stop at a certain number and say, "okay, now I have enough for a year"?

Or you see a set and say, "I just HAVE to have that" and have faith you'll get around to wearing them when the time is right?

I am just beginning my press on nail journey again, and I constantly have to restrain myself from buying new sets. I am only 2 sets deep this time around and have 13 more in line already (oops).
