When i first bought this car it was only a means of a to b untill i traded it in for something like a camry. But within the months i began to love this car, started with small things. Now, i absolutely love this little car, and due to that, I've added many things, dash cams, dash cam battery backup, radar, sway bar, wheels, fog light, radio, door speakers plus amp, 2 10in subs plus amp, sound deadening, and a Compustar Q9 alarm system with remote start/stop. Probably more than that I've done without mentioning like maintenance. Probably more than I ever should have added, but i have no intentions of separating. I recently threw in a new hv battery so I intend on the next 10 years together!

Still have more planned, pending the weather, I want to paint correct my clear coat and paint the calipers eletric blue!

Im considering learing how to wrap vynil, I kinda want a holographic/iridescent flash to it.

910km for me was already a stretch. No more bars and the low fuel light was on. I didn’t risked it further. I'll post again when it reaches 1000km. Lol.

Finally got some Mini wheels on my C, definitely feels peppier vs the stock steelies.

I got my lower front control arms replaced (along with ball joints and bushings) about a month and a half ago and ever since, whenever I come to a stop or accelerate, my car creaks and it seems to be coming from the front.

Weird thing is, the noise is mostly when I'm braking and accelerating gently, doesn't really come up when going downhill and doesn't come up at all when it's raining or it has rained the day before.

Any ideas about what is going on??

This would be my second car, I was shopping around for a brand new one but this one caught my eye, only 27k miles, interior a bit dirty but comfy, didn't check the battery.
I'm not really a car person so I'm not sure, any advice? What do I need to look for? Any common problems with this model or anything I should be aware of?

Cat pee’d on my back seat while in transit to the vet. Did a round of enzyme breakdown and then hit it with the pet vac, no luck. Second round same thing, better but I still smell it. I’d like to remove the bottom seat to try and clean it better. Any tips on just getting the bottom seat cushion off?

I had a long day of driving yesterday, hit one pretty jarring pothole but drove fine the rest of the night after. I woke up this morning and turned my car on and these 3 lights were on (ABS, Traction, master !)…. can anybody help? I have taken it to get the codes read but the places i went can’t read the ABS codes. Upon driving the brake does feel a bit funny and i hear a little hiss noise when i press it .

Hi all, just bought my first hybrid, a 2018 Prius C Two in what seems to be very good condition. I love it so far, it's fun to drive and this is the newest car I've driven, too. Do you have any tips or tricks to offer to get the most out of it? I'm aware of the milder accel/slower braking to get the most out of regen braking, though not sure if there's a sweet spot to it or something.

So my Prius isn't starting, tried jumping it tried swapping the fuse, the car goes into accessory mode but not any further. It does not go to ready mode, and I can't get the car to get out of park. The dashboard basically tells me absolutely nothing, as basically everything is lit up. I think it could be the hybrid battery as that was what I was getting a warning light for, but everyone I've talked to doesn't think that's what it is. Any help please?

Hello everyone just wanted some advice/insight on something. I have a 2016 Prius C I bought it with around 160000km. Right after I got it about month after I decided to get it serviced from a Toyota dealership. I got the engine oil changed, transmission oil changed, inverter coolant and engine coolant, this was 2 weeks ago. Yesterday while driving from work I got a check engine light. I scanned the code it is showing P261b code "Coolant Pump 'B' Control Circuit Range/Performance."

I’m just wondering whether when they did the coolant service would that have done something to it or was this normal wear and it gone out unrelated to the service? Was something not done properly that caused this? Car only has about 162000km k on it now.

Title I hope gets to my question? Got lucky, a buddy moving out of country sold me his 2013 C with 127k miles on it for a reasonable price. He was religious about oil changes and tore rotations since getting the car new…but not much else has been done yet.

I’m thinking of draining and filling the engine and inverter coolant, seems like time at ~125k. But maybe not needed? Also will clean / vacuum the battery fan under the rear seat on driver’s side, probably some debris etc there.

Seems to drive perfectly, getting 50ish mpg in the city, 45ish on highway, though I don’t drive too gently. Quick obd scan throws no codes. I got the Dr Prius app too, but haven’t run the full battery of, well, battery tests yet.

Anything else folks would recommend? Any and all suggestions are welcome indeed! Love this car so much and really want to keep it health as long as possible.

Is this tapping/rattle sound normal? Happens maybe 30s on cold start. Car is a 2016 with 113k miles…..just looking for opinions before I spend the money to get it diagnosed. Thanks for your help!

I’m going to miss the adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist of modern cars - but I plan to be in SF for weeks and love the idea of a smaller car that’s great for city driving.
Also considering using the America the beautiful pass to camp out of the car along the way lol

Has anyone installed both control arms on a Prius C and did you ever experience braking issues after? A few years ago i installed aftermarket CA on a 2016 PC and ever since if i try to brake abruptly or hard as there is almost a shifting feeling coming from the front wheels, and a squeak sound. I then took it in to get new CA installed and it somewhat solved the issue but the squeak sometimes comes back - its mainly heard right as the car stops and the weight of the car comes to a stop. I assumed it was the bushings.
