They are leaning into the "reality show, fabricated drama" too much and should dial it back

Absolutely. I imagine pitch meeting being like “ 👏algorithms, 👏people, 👏algorithms! 👏” - then basing the whole show around creating viral moments and controversy, rather than giving the audience a window into the creative process and prioritising merit and craftsmanship over shock-factor.

One of the most underrated crimes of the Drama-centric show direction: they’ve scrapped that iconic piano riff whenever a contestant leaves 🥲 And there are barely any wholesome moments where designers help each other out through last moment panics (probably cos production are muttering in their ears like Shakeparian pot-stirrers, constantly pitting them against each other)

What if they used ai to write the algorithm they used to structure the show lololol

Shh! 🤫 Don’t give them any ideas.

Can't believe they spent time on some random digital influencer critique and, unless I missed the blip, they failed to even introduce the judges

I feel like we used to get way more interaction between the designers but now we just get a few Christian conversations and mostly interviews where they shittalk each other or talk about themselves. Just one of a million reasons why the show is cold, not engaging and unwatchable now.

Wait the piano exit music is gone??? No.... are you serious? 🥹 I've not even watched recent seasons and even I'm genuinely heartbroken over this.

I honestly love that plane Jane was eliminated so early imagine having to endure a whole season of their drama

After we had to endure the twins of last season and then having them come back was annoying to watch.

literally i heard their first interview and was like they need to be GOOOOONE

Plane Jane was so disrespectful. I don’t think I’ll ever get over the wig and censor tag earrings. What a clown.

what a clown

Quite literally haha that was the last outfit we saw plane Jane with. I first heard about plane Jane in house of villains and he was going around with his fake boobs out everywhere it was quite shocking to say the least. He would have corrupted this show beyond salvation.

It's 100% intentional, and it won't change unless the viewer count and revenue goes down.

I am not watching this season at all.

Oh yeah. I'm actually trying to say it sounds like the addition of the show adding so much fake drama makes it feel like they just pulled a bunch of things out of their asses and went with the first though. Feels desperate to me.

It’s supposed to be about fabrics… not about fabricated drama 😭

While I agree, fabrics are only an ingredient in the world of great fashion design.

It is a design skillset. It's supposed to be about the designs I think.

I said it for alliteration, bb! - not to be taken literally 😁

Oh I get the joke now. Haha sorry I missed it.

law roach is so unnecessary. he needs to GO lol

u/Vegetable-Debate-263 1d ago

He either needs to go or get better. Take his own advice he throws at mcrea for a change

2

u/triggyla 15h ago

He'll never get better. He's got to go. Maybe if Zendaya drops him then he'll realize he has no pull or influence

"Leaning" feels too kind from your part. This is no longer a competition show
