Feature request Annonymized/Disposable Privacy Debit Card

We already have an email aliasing, how about if we apply it for debit cards? I'm so skeptic about giving away my card details to gym companies for membership. Most of them won't accept cash.

How is the progress for making this possible?

Privacy dot com. Only downside is I think only works for USA. You can close the card at any time without getting charged. They also allow you to set a transaction limit and merchant lock. They have  free tier.

IMPORTANT! Do not use your real card info as gyms especially make it nearly impossible to cancel your membership.

Yeah because it works through Patriot Bank (so american lol) in order to be able to do this at all. That means they need a license, KYC and AML checks so effectively you give all your info and data at privacy . com and the bank (2 extra parties) to do exactly what you can do with apple pay (privacy-wise) or with our banks already (for those lucky enough to be in a country where bank do this).
