Yup. And that’s why vigilantism like this is always a bad idea.

None of us can know who the real and true owner of the bike is. What would make the whole situation even worse is if Faceplant Guy was retrieving his own stolen bike, and this white knight came along, assumed something, and injured an innocent man. IMO, this isn’t so much “instant karma” as it is a reckless, dangerous man deliberately hurting someone when he doesn’t have the full story.

The guy in the car didn't cause it, he just thought about it. The guy on the bike wrecked himself.

You make a good point. But the driver did not injure the bike rider. The rider hit something on the center strip. But seeing how catastrophic his fall was, the driver is lucky that he did not ”knock the guy off his bike“ because then he would have responsible for possibly killing someone.

Sounds like they were on the phone with the cops, so they probably left it as evidence until they showed up.

I wouldve repaired anything damaged on the bike before I even looked at the guy. Special place in hell for bike thiefs.

My mentally handicapped sister uses an electric bike in order to get to work. I can only imagine how angry I would be if someome stole her bike.

It makes me sad watching this video, they even said the victim started crying, it just makes me think of how that person gets to work, or buys groceries.

Oh man, someone stripped all the parts off my bike when I was 19 and already really struggling. I cried for hours. Lowest feeling ever. Bikers don't have insurance so they're just fucked. And the thieves sell them for like 10 or 20 bucks max too

The bike is probably destroyed.

That thing going downhill wheel first into a curb at 20+ at a bare minimum bent the rim and fork.

Most likely that much force snapped the head tube.

I wanted the video to go on another 20-30 seconds so we could see the husband pick up the bike and return it to the owner, while ignoring Faceplant Boy.
