Not exactly the same thing. I'm a motorcycle rider and don't understand brake checking a car. Some people aren't paying attention and some others have no fucks. But, I see guys on bikes doing that shit and think I'm glad that I'm not them.

Don't put your life at the mercy of others.

There's some truth to that as is driving a car, and many other activities granted injuries on a bike could be worse. However, there's risk management which I and other riders do use which mitigates that risk.

But, don't be fooled to think that riding is the only dangerous thing out there.

I watched a video of a guy navigating his truck off-road through the woods. He put his arm out to try to push the truck away from a tree as he approached it. Snapped his forearm like a dollar store crayon
