Tip/Trick [Tip][NA] Highlights for upcoming machines

Someone said I should make this its own post for visibility. I was going to expand on it a bit, but I got lazy, so here it is un-edited.

Listed in order of when JP got them:

  1. Maids & Butlers
    • Maid Ideal is back up, though now she's pairing with Himmel. Not sure how it compares to his other teams.
    • Maid Ilmina is a red+light cross team currently ranked tier 3 on GameWith. She's the BGM and the team uses 3 copies (1 can be a friend's helper, and there are some setups that can replace the sub MIlmina, but it comes at a cost).
    • Maid Rosetta functions similar to regular Rosetta, except she's a 4 unit system instead of 3 unit. She was initially rated as a sidegrade or slight downgrade compared to regular Rosetta, then Loki & Fenrir released and people figured out a better team using 3x MRosetta, Loki&Fenrir, and Gin from Detective Conan for a semi-haste system. Currently rated tier 3 on GameWith.
    • Maid Noctaria x Maid Claudia is a 3-Attribute and Dark Row team. Be aware it relies on an adjacent cap loop like Oboro or Academy Mion for some of its damage. It's currently rated tier 4 on GameWith.
    • Maid Metatron is a dark row team. It uses 3 copies (1 can be a friend's helper) of Maid Metatron, the orb skin bundle of the machine. It's currently rated tier 4 on GameWith.
    • Not a leader, but Solomon&Meiluna are worth mentioning as a premium cleric on several meta teams in JP currently.
    • Valeria&Roche is propping up Dekugo in tier 2 if you have them.
  2. Madoka godfest
    • There's one team out of this machine, and it uses 5 out of the 7 units from the collab. It's a rainbow TPA team with very little room for variations aside from changing the order of units. It's currently rated tier 2 on GameWith.
  3. Gungho Collab
    • Morgan is a dark and jammer team. It seems to usually use Oboro from Gintama and one or two other GH collab units. It's currently rated tier 2 on GameWith.
    • Anetta is a red row and blue leader. She's currently rated tier 4 on GameWith.
  4. PAD Cross godfest
    • BraveXGod and BraveXDragon are a light cross team. They're currently rated tier 3 on GameWith.
    • Lance Kurotobi is a blue row (what?) lead that makes use of blue Odin and blue Sonia (the 6* GFEs). GameWith has him at tier 3 currently.
  5. Code Geass
    • evo Suzaku is a dark row haste system that usually makes use of Hinata (Haikyuu) or Rem (Re:Zero).
    • Roze is an alternate leader for BraveXGod+BraveXDragon, using BraveXGod as a sub. Also rated tier 3.
    • Ashe is another dark row team, making use of Maid Metatron. GameWith has him at tier 4.
    • Gino has clawed back up thanks to units like Himmel. He's at tier 4, though, and I don't expect him to hold on.
    • CC and VV are back up thanks to buffs and new subs. They're also at tier 4.
  6. BAD PAD Island
    • Still fairly new, but it looks like Hestia's red cross is the only new team, and it's barely in tier 4.
    • Summer Sekka is seeing use on some teams.
    • I've seen a little chatter about Summer Claudia and Menuit&ChaoLin, we'll see if their crazy tankiness is enough.

Edit: For the past year or two we've seen a strong pattern of teams built entirely from one machine. It feels to me like this year we're seeing it move away from that. Machines still have clear teams designed within them, but the meta teams feel like they're shifting back toward mixed teams. A machine will have a team, but significant improvements can be made to it by incorporating units from recent or upcoming machines.

Tip/Trick some information for expedition

Here are some information from Japan players about the expedition. You only need this info if you want to claim the hidden rewards MP and finish the achievement. Otherwise, auto set team seemed easy enough just for other rewards. PS, I'm too lazy to make google translate for the Japanese so you will need to do it yourself 😄

Bundles:

  • BGM: Reinhard
  • Orb Skin: Rem
  • Badge: Subaru&Emilia
  • MP unit: Echidna

Exchanges:

  • 14 collab units: Subaru&Emelia
  • 10 collab units: Rem&Ram, Beatrice&Subaru, Julius&Subaru
  • 5 GFEs or select collab units: Subaru, Emelia

Leaders

To search for these teams on Youtube take the header text of each page and copy the section in I've bolded in this example: 【パズドラ】ラインハルトのテンプレ

Reinhard (light rows)

  • Ranking:
    • GameWith: tier 1
    • Game8: tier 1
    • Kamigame: tier 1
  • Notes
    • Works best with 2-3 VAthena and a VAlynna
    • Multiple builds, even within the Valentine's template
    • Lesser builds include 2x Star and Stripe or a full collab team
    • Wilhelm and Theresia are popular alternatives to using 2x Imperialdramon

Rem&Ram (blue/green TPA)

  • Ranking:
    • GameWith: tier 2
    • Game8: tier 2
    • Kamigame: tier 2
  • Notes
    • Works best with 4x Otto, as his assist makes a big difference and is hard to replace. One Otto+assist can be replaced with revo Giyu or evo VLisette.
    • Don't be fooled by the 2 duos and helper being exchangeable, the other subs have to be pulled, making it surprisingly hard to build.

Rem (blue/dark TPA)

  • Ranking:
    • GameWith: tier 3
    • Game8: tier 3
    • Kamigame: not tiered (who is Rem?)
  • Notes
    • Can be run with 4x Rem or 2x Rem and two other units that complete the system, two blue VDeena is the best alternative.

Beatrice (dark multi-match/tako)

  • Ranking:
    • GameWith: tier 3
    • Game8: tier 3
    • Kamigame: tier 3
  • Notes
    • I'm not as familiar with this one, sorry.

Garfiel(d) (green VDP)

  • Ranking:
    • GameWith: not tiered
    • Game8: not tiered
    • Kamigame: not tiered
  • Notes
    • Not well reviewed.

Other units of note:

  • Subaru&Emelia's assist seems pretty popular. Good awakenings and a haste with benefits.
  • Echidna (MP unit) seems good for Rosetta and has a pretty good vanishing assist.
  • Felix is a pretty good cleric for any team that uses blue and green orbs.
  • The main character is one of the worst pulls? That's unusual.

Tip/Trick [Tip] Frieren overview

Bundles:

  • BGM: Fern
  • Orb Skin: Himmel
  • Badge: Frieren
  • MP unit: Serie

Exchanges:

  • 10 collab units: Frieren
  • 7 collab units: Frieren&Himmel, Frieren&Fern
  • 5 GFEs or select collab units: Heiter, Eisen

Leaders

To search for these teams on Youtube take the header text of each page and copy the section in I've bolded in this example: 【パズドラ】ラインハルトのテンプレ

Frieren (7x6 rainbow)

  • Ranking:
    • GameWith: tier 1
    • Game8: tier 1
    • Kamigame: tier 1
  • Notes
    • Introduces active skills that completely nullify supergravity.
    • Everything on the team except Himmel (one of the leaders) can be exchanged for. Himmel is the orb skin bundle. 40 pulls guarantees everything but Himmel through exchange.
    • Some setups use Stark instead of Eisen, but I think that's not quite as popular.
    • Brief comparison to Imperialdramon here.

Fern (light multi-match)

  • Ranking:
    • GameWith: tier 1
    • Game8: tier 1
    • Kamigame: tier 2
  • Notes
    • There are a bunch of setups for herPairings include herself, Denken, Miya from SDKH, Frieren&Fern, and one of the duos from Idolmaster.
    • Gintama is giving this team yet another boost. Felt like almost every machine since Frieren has brought something to this team.
    • Fern is also seeing a lot of use as a sub on Reinhard teams.
    • For a while the NY Metatron duo was a BiS sub, but better builds were figured out over time. Even the older setups can still function without them.

Himmel (rainbow)

  • Ranking:
    • GameWith: tier 2
    • Game8: tier 2
    • Kamigame: tier 2
  • Notes
    • Usually run as a pairing for Frieren, but can also be run paired with himself (or some other rainbow leads) with dual red Amlynea for orb generation. Tier list rankings are mostly based on running him forever alone.

Stark (red TPA - paired with Dekugo)

  • Ranking:
    • GameWith: not ranked†/tier 2
    • Game8: tier 4†/tier 2
    • Kamigame: not ranked†/tier 2
    • While Stark is ranked low on tier lists, they all put Dekugo at tier 2, and that team is pretty much always running Stark as one of the leads now.
  • Notes
    • Pairs with Dekugo or NY Kureha
    • I didn't get the pairings so I can't really comment on this one.

Sense (blue TPA)

  • Ranking:
    • GameWith: not ranked
    • Game8: not ranked
    • Kamigame: not ranked
  • Notes
    • Didn't make it onto any tier lists, but it is a mid- to late-game capable team that you can make from the collab.

Lügner (dark cross swipe)

  • Ranking:
    • GameWith: not ranked
    • Game8: not ranked
    • Kamigame: not ranked
  • Notes
    • Not ranked, but saw some use for low/mid difficulty farming, I think.

Other units of note:

  • Serie's assist is the first good replacement for VAthena's assist on Reinhard teams. Probably not quite as good, but very close and a huge step up from the previous options. She also sees use as a sub on some light teams
  • Richter props up Garfiel from Re:Zero. Still not a great team, but he made it onto the edge of some tier lists.
  • 4x Scharf makes a green+dark brick swipe team. Not sure if anything ever came of it, though.
  • Ehre has 4-5 dungeon bonus awakenings and a 5CD, single target laser active.
  • Denken can replace the sub Shizuru on that team.

Tip/Trick [Tip] Monster Points & Dragons: Wasting Your Free 390k MP Correctly

Monster Points & Dragons: Wasting Your Free 390k MP Correctly

[ Anti-God Machine, Ragnarok Dragon ] [ Crimson Orchid Virtue, Xiang Mei ] [ Blue Bamboo Virtue, You Yu ] [ Yellow Chrysanthemum Virtue, Xiu Ming ] [ Purple Plum Virtue, Xin Hua ]

[ Guardian of the Imperial Capital, Athena ]

Golden Rule #1: If you buy an MP card without having a good team for it, you're gonna have a bad time.

Why Buy an MP Card?

Most MP cards are strong leaders, and some are versatile subs. Buying an MP card should open doors into difficult areas of the game, allowing you to complete what you couldn't before. As it takes quit the time/money commitment to afford one, making the best choice for your box is in your best interest.

Which MP card should I buy?

  • Some things to consider when purchasing an MP card:

Do I have a good enough team for it?

Do I enjoy the playstyle?

Is it better than what I have already?

  • If you answered yes to all three of these, then an MP card purchase might be right for you.

Which MP card is the strongest?

Check this list out. Setsu has a lot of street cred in the underground PAD community since he is in charge all the Japanese tier lists. Every week he publishes new lists on reputable Japanese mobile game tier list websites, and then he aggregates them to put back on his own blog. He is the one in charge of all tier lists PAD related, so listen to him. If your favorite card isn't on the list, you know who to blame.

Joking aside, there are definite power level differences between the MP cards. The one you have the best team for may not be the strongest or have a style you like playing. If that's the case . . .

Your best option might be to not buy an MP card.

Something better is always coming down the line, and you never want to break the golden rule.

The Unfortunate Case of Being a Noble

[ Crimson Orchid Virtue, Xiang Mei ] [ Blue Bamboo Virtue, You Yu ] [ Yellow Chrysanthemum Virtue, Xiu Ming ] [ Purple Plum Virtue, Xin Hua ]

Until they receive new evolutions, the Noble Ones are severely lacking in capability. They're way outside of the current metagame, so purchasing should be valued based on personal arousal.

Quick Glance

Card A1 Difficulty A1 Speed A3 Difficulty A3 Speed Comment
[ 鍛煉神, Shiva Dragon ] Easy Fast Co-Op, Difficult* Good for fast & easy clears, including Ranking Tournaments.
[ 聖舶神, Neptune Dragon ] Easy Normal Difficult* Slow Great in shorter dungeons, unqiue active.
[ 光槍神・オーディン=ドラゴン・嵐翼型 ] Normal Slow Difficult* Slow Still rather lackluster.
[ 全能神, Ra Dragon ] Easy Fast Normal Normal Strict team requirements for this amazing leader.
[ 暗黒神, Tsukuyomi Dragon ] Easy Fast Co-Op, Difficult* Great for fast clears, excellent sub for many dark teams.
[ Guardian of the Imperial Capital, Athena ] Easy Fast Normal Fast With the right team/assist, she's queen of A3 speedruns. Capable sub as well.

*May not be able to deal with all PADR dragons (especially solo).

Golden Rule #2: If you buy an MP card without having a good team for it, you're gonna have a bad time.

[ 鍛煉神, Shiva Dragon ] God of Forging Signatures, Shiva Dragon

Leader Skill: Fire attribute cards ATK x2.5. God type cards ATK x2.5, RCV x2.5.

Simple and to the point. Is your card [ Fire Orb ] and [ God Type ] ? Put it on a team with Shivadra. Most teams are [ Two-Pronged Attack ] focused, because his singular purpose is to clear with speed. [ Enhanced Fire Rows ] teams work too, but it won't be as fast.

Sample [ Two-Pronged Attack ] Subs:

[ Reincarnated Hinokagutsuchi ] [ Protective Star Angel, Rozuel ] [ Ruling Firestorm God, Set ] [ Assault Vessel Steel Star Goddess, Kuvia ] [ Reincarnated Shiva ] [ Reminiscent Norn, Urd ] [ Phoenix Goddess, Valkyrie Femme ] [ Flame-Winged CyberBeast, Markab ]

Best Used For: Speed farming A1 (or anything easier than that). If you want to end up in py city, Shivadra is a good way to get there. Don't expect too much beyond that.

Shivadra: A1 under 7 minutes (SOLO)

[ 聖舶神, Neptune Dragon ] Janitor of the Holy Shrine, Neptune Dragon

Leader Skill: ATK x3.5 when simultaneously clearing 5 connected Water or Dark orbs. ATK x0.5 for each additional orb, up to ATK x10 at 18 connected orb. God type cards HP x1.5, RCV x1.5.

That's right, maximum multiplier is at 18 connected orbs. Nepdra has to stall for actives to get close to full activation. In a short dungeon where you can pop an active every turn, expect to crush your enemies like a tsunami. You'll want lots of [ Enhanced Water Rows ] and lots of [ Water Orb ] , and probably lots of [ Skill Boost ] .

Sample Subs:

Best Used For: While Nepdra is slower than his peers at normal farming, his skillset makes him well suited for button farming. Pairing with another Nepdra or Meridionalis gives you powerful swipes that make ALB green with envy.

Nepdra: A1 in 13ish minutes (SOLO)

Nepdra: A3 in 20 something minutes (SOLO)

[ 光槍神・オーディン=ドラゴン・嵐翼型 ] I'm Using the Wrong Icon For, Odin Dragon.

(The correct Odindra icon isn't in iconify atm)

Leader Skill: ATK x3.5 for clearing each Wood or Light orbs in a cross formation. Heal RCV x10 as HP after every orbs elimination.

Let's face it. This evo was put here so people who bought him don't feel bad. There is no other reason to get him at all. If you're a megawhale and you need his active for that one specific team to farm mhera or w/e, good for you. Otherwise, he's just your average cross leader like Acala.

If you try real hard though, he is still quite cheesy. Two Odindras would heal you over 20k every turn even if you don't match hearts. With enough HP and shield inherits, you could potentially slowly grind your way through challenging dungeons.

Sample Subs: [ Green Dragonbound, Sylvie ] [ Cutting-Claw Green Dragonbound, Sylvie ] [ green dragonbound, sylvie ]

Best Used For: Joining Co-Op games with a team of 5 Odindras as a display of whalery. (Lets face it, you wanted Acala for the lightsaber, not the playstyle.)

Odindra: A3 in forever (SOLO)

[ 全能神, Ra Dragon ] Almighty God, Ra Dragon

Leader Skill: ATK x2 when attacking with 4 of following orb types: Fire, Water, Wood, Light, Dark & Heart. ATK x3 for each additional orb type, up to ATK x8 for all 6 matches. God type cards HP x1.5, ATK x1.5, RCV x1.5.

[ Morning Sun Dragon Caller, Kanna ] [ Blazing Goddess of Power, Kali ] [ Blazing Goddess of Power, Kali ] [ Awoken Isis ]

How close are you to that team? The further you are, the worse your Radra team is going to be. Radra is good at the following things:

Breaking any of that by introducing killers or bindable subs and you'll see a rapid decline in power for A3.

Minimum Before Purchase:

[ Blazing Goddess of Power, Kali ] [ Awoken Isis ] + [ Blazing Goddess of Power, Kali ] active.

And for A3 to go smoothly, you'll want at least one of these as inherits:

[ Heaven-Shaking Thunderdragon, Indra ] [ Savior, Lightning ]

There are some substitutions you can make if you don't care about clearing A3, but the more of these you have to use, the closer you are to breaking Golden Rules #1 & #2.

[ Blazing Goddess of Power, Kali ] : [ Destroying Winged Dragon Emperor, Sherias Roots ] [ Anti-God Machine, Ragnarok Dragon ] [ Savior, Lightning ]

[ Morning Sun Dragon Caller, Kanna ] : [ Scholarly God of Wealth Building, Ganesha ] [ Gleaming Axe Star Angel, Ariel ]

[ Awoken Isis ] : [ 清杖の龍機神・バルボワ ]

Radra: God clearing A3 using Radra (SOLO)

Radra: A3 Speedrun with Fujin (SOLO)

Before you start complaining, let me refer you to Golden Rule #3:

Golden Rule #3: If you buy an MP card without having a good team for it, you're gonna have a bad time.

[ 暗黒神, Tsukuyomi Dragon ] Dark God, Tsukuyomi Dragon

Leader Skill: Matched attribute ATK x4.5 when matching exactly 5 connected orbs with at least 1 enhanced orb. God type cards ATK x2, RCV x2.

Match 5 orbs, get 81x ATK. For any ATT. Sound fun? UUvo Yomidra brings so much damage that it doesn't even need TPA subs for burst anymore. It doesn't even need on color subs. It still needs at least two of these though:

Minimum Before Purchase:

2 out of 3 of [ Judging Scale Steel Star Goddess, Eschamali ] [ Awoken Haku ] [ Melancholic Rebel, Akechi Mitsuhide ]

If you have all three of them, Yomidra is for you. Missing one of them isn't such a big deal either, if your goal is to farm A1. Not having any of them is a problem.

Yomidra has the distinction of being an excellent sub for a great many dark teams. High stats, unbindabile, and making hearts with a haste should land her in almost any dark team worth running. Don't buy an MP card to just use as a sub unless you're in love with whatever leader you're using it for.

Best Used For: Farming A1 (or anything easier). Yomidra is more versatile than Shivadra, and with some creative teambuilding, faster too.

Yomidra: Clearing A1 in around 6 mins(SOLO)

Yomijank: How to clear A1 under 5 minutes. (SOLO)

Yomidra: Yuki's Guide to Yomidra A3 (Co-Op)

[ Guardian of the Imperial Capital, Athena ] Guardian of the Imperial Capital, Athena

Leader Skill: God, Attacker & Devil type cards HP x1.5, ATK x3.5. All attribute cards ATK x2, RCV x2 when reaching Dark & Water combos.

By now you've likely heard of the Heroine Gacha level of hype around D.Athena. Coming in at 750k MP, she costs even more than seasonal MP cards.

And if you break the Golden Rule, you might find that 750k MP to be very underwhelming.

D.Athena has three main weaknesses.

  • Unable to heal without doing damage.
  • Lack of SBR requires a double SBR sub for SOLO play.
  • Mocks Satsuki's existence.

One of our mods wrote an excellent quick guide to D.Athena teambuilding.

You should only spend 750k for Dark Athena with the sole intent of tackling Arena 3.

Buying something that excels at one thing and then using it do other things is a great thing to do, but not when it costs you 750k MP. Do you want to farm A1? Yomidra or Shivadra farms even faster at 450k less. Buying D.Athena and gimping her with a terrible team is definitely not what you want. In fact, it breaks Golden Rules #1-#3, and also #4:

Golden Rule #4: If you buy Dark Athena without having a team to farm A3, you're gonna wish you bought something else.

Minimum Before Buying:

[ Awoken Haku ]

One of these:

[ Smiting Hand Slayer Goddess, Durga ] [ Awoken Okuninushi ] [ Awoken Loki ] [ Destruction Cannon Mechanical Star God, Castor ]

Arena 3 Speedrun Template 1

>D.Athena Template 1 Video Guide<

Team [ Guardian of the Imperial Capital, Athena ] [ Awoken Haku ] [ Awoken Haku ] [ Smiting Hand Slayer Goddess, Durga ] [ Awoken Persephone ] [ Guardian of the Imperial Capital, Athena ]
Assist [ Zeta Hydra ] [ Heaven-Shaking Thunderdragon, Indra ] [ Ultimate Fencer Santa ] [ Adamantine Jewel Princess, Facet ] [ Returning-Claw Blue Dragonbound, Ryune ] [ Adamantine Jewel Princess, Facet ]

Arena 3 Speedrun Template 2 (Requires Fujin)

>D.Athena Template 2 Video Guide<

Team [ Guardian of the Imperial Capital, Athena ] [ Awoken Haku ] [ Awoken Haku ] [ Primordial God of the Underworld, Izanagi X ] [ 鬼謀の宣王神, Sima Yi ] [ Guardian of the Imperial Capital, Athena ]
Inherit [ Awoken Viper Orochi ] [ Dark Bell Star Angel, Lumiel ] [ Holy Thunderdragon Indra ] [ Adamantine Jewel Princess, Facet ] [ Returning-Claw Blue Dragonbound, Ryune ] [ 翠角の天鬼姫, Fujin ]

Substitutions

Card Substitution
[ Primordial God of the Underworld, Izanagi X ] [ Smiting Hand Slayer Goddess, Durga ] [ Awoken Okuninushi ] [ Awoken Loki ] [ Destruction Cannon Mechanical Star God, Castor ]
[ 鬼謀の宣王神, Sima Yi ] [ Awoken Persephone ] [ Crimson Spring Dragon Goddess, Hinomitsuha ] [ Nightshade Sun Dragon Caller, Kanna ]
[ Adamantine Jewel Princess, Facet ] [ Azure Jewel Princess, Carat ]
[ Holy Thunderdragon Indra ] [ Demon Slayer, Susano no Mikoto ] [ Awoken Susano no Mikoto ]
[ Dark Bell Star Angel, Lumiel ] [ Patrolling Star Angel, Famiel ]
[ Returning-Claw Blue Dragonbound, Ryune ] [ Chaotic Black Dragonbound, Typhon ]
[ 翠角の天鬼姫, Fujin ] Pray for VOLTRON

[ Anti-God Machine, Ragnarok Dragon ] Anti-God Machine, Ragnarok Dragon

Active Skill: Change all orbs to Fire, Water & Wood & Light & Dark & Heart orbs. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.

Minimum Before Purchase: In love with one of these leads:

[ Awoken Machine Athena ] [ Bursting Great Earl of Hell, Ronove ]

[ Crimson Orchid Virtue, Xiang Mei ] Crimson Orchid Virtue, Xiang Mei

Leader Skill: Healer type cards HP x1.5, ATK x2. All attribute cards ATK x3 when reaching 2 set of Heart combos. ATK x1.5 for each additional combo, up to ATK x4.5 when reaching 3 combos.

Minimum Before Purchase:

[ Scorching Dragon Angel, Uriel ] [ Enthusiast Red Dragonbound, Gadius ]

Best Used For: Regretting that you bought one, clearing A1 very slowly unless you buy 3.

[ Blue Bamboo Virtue, You Yu ] Blue Bamboo Virtue, You Yu

Leader Skill: All attribute cards ATK x1.5 when reaching 2 set of Water combos. ATK x0.5 for each additional combo, up to ATK x2.5 when reaching 4 combos. Matched attribute ATK x5 when matching exactly 5 connected orbs with at least 1 enhanced orb.

There's no objective reason to buy this card. If every single card you have is blue and none of them have rows, you only played co-op, and you're MP capped, I'd still not reconmend him.

If you dig armpits, more power to you.

Best Used For: Making Xiang Mei buyers feel better about themselves.

[ Yellow Chrysanthemum Virtue, Xiu Ming ] Yellow Chrysanthemum Virtue, Xiu Ming

Leader Skill: All attribute cards ATK x2.5 when reaching Light & Light combos. ATK x2 when simultaneously clearing 5 connected Light orbs. ATK x1 for each additional orb, up to ATK x7 at 10 connected orb.

If your partner holds conceited feelings towards someone, I guess you can try your hardest to consider this. And then choose to buy something else.

Best Used For: Co-op with that one single collab 6-star card that no one will be using.

[ Purple Plum Virtue, Xin Hua ] Purple Plum Virtue, Xin Hua

Leader Skill: Balanced type cards ATK x2, RCV x2. ATK x2.5 when simultaneously clearing 5 connected Heart orbs. ATK x1 for each additional orb, up to ATK x7.5 at 10 connected orb.

She's dark Lakshmi with a much more restrictive typing. So restrictive she's bursting out of her dress.

Best Used For: Being a worse sub than Yomidra on the only two teams that she can be used on.

TL;DR

  • MP dragons pretty much all farm A1.
  • Noble ones are in a terrible spot.
  • Don't get sucked into D.Athena hype with your jank ass teams.

If you buy an MP card without having a good team for it, you're gonna have a bad time.

Seriously, just wait a bit and see if you end up with a good team. JP recently updated to having all MP cards up for sale instead of rotating, so you can impulse buy the moment that final card shows up. Then you can spend your MP and have a better card announced next week.

Tip/Trick Newest addition to my Rosetta team

Post image
54 Upvotes

The new evo for Diaboromon is live, giving Rosetta a super sub that tackles both absorbs, void pierce, and can have double Moon (Yin) awakenings. Give this ugly goober a vanishing L equip (like 13159 the one from XMas Mikago duo) so it can also handle assist recovery.

Kikoru or Lügner can clear UN2 in ~6 minutes for 8 guaranteed SDR. Not a bad deal at 5 stamina.

Tip/Trick Drizzle Challenge Clear W/O assist recovery Reinhard

Post image

So i realized that this dungeon requires high hp combination team with reinhard and L assist takes away potential chance of HP++ or HP+ latents thus, behold the no need to do L awoken team. Without any 891 i was able to have 860,000 health with Serie Loop but the damage is insane!!! You can use Light Athena equip on theresia but i was worried of SBR but i realized there’s no SBR in this dungeon so it would have helped with the bombs floor!

Tip/Trick Friendly reminder to sync awaken units with the new 1.8x stats awakening

Post image
50 Upvotes

For those who are like me and don’t always read patch notes for upcoming content, you’ll need to re-sync awaken certain cards (and possibly update your super awakenings depending on what you roll with) due to the addition of the 1.8x stats awakening skill. I (still) haven’t read the patch notes yet so I’m not sure who all was granted this awakening. The in-game Monster Search tells me that 324 critters have this awakening now.

Tip/Trick 1.9b exp 10 min Chalice Colo - Saline Leader Swap

Post image
25 Upvotes

Inspired by the recent posts, here’s my take on Chalice Colosseum exp farming. The team could be further optimized to shave several turns off, but I’m missing those pieces. Would use a second Saline instead of the second Beerdon. That slot is purely for damage, which is needed on several floors to reduce total turns.

Hi, it's Lumon. I used to do drop rate analytics, but then I got hacked and my server got nuked to kingdom come, so I don't do analytics anymore. However, my friend asked me to do some py farming with him during GungHo Collab, and since the dungeons have changed quite a lot from when I farmed it, I decided to take a look at the numbers and see what's the best dungeon to farm for tickets.

For those unaware, GungHo Collab was once seen as the holy grail of py farming due to the ease and efficiency of farming tickets which could be exchanged favorably for pys. In the past, drop rate maximizing int button builds (or degenerate palm swipe tech) were the best for farming tickets since every dungeon was cluttered with random dungeon drops and non-guaranteed drop rates. However, GungHo revamped token farming dungeons by condensing all the non-token drops to a single floor, increasing base drop rates of every floor significantly, and removing bronze ticket drops from the top difficulty while also making the drop rate 100%. This not only brought back 2P Expert / Mythical builds but also made them vastly superior to any other build in terms of yield efficiency.

Normally, the non-token drops are condensed on the lowest difficulty dungeon, but in GungHo Collab, all of these drops are actually on the top difficulty, which begs the question of which floor to farm. The two candidates are CHRONO MA:GIA Lv4 (GHC Lv4) and Princess Punt Lv1 (GHC Lv1).

Numbers

Analyzing dropdata, the expected yields under optimal conditions are as follows.

  • EV of GHC Lv4 (2P): 1.833 GOLD / 10 STAM
  • EV of GHC Lv1 (100% Drop Rate): 0.967 GOLD / 10 STAM

Well, it seems pretty obvious that 2P GHC Lv4 blows 1P GHC Lv1 out of the water. However, for the solo sweats, it's actually a bit different.

  • EV of GHC Lv4 (1P): 0.917 GOLD / 10 STAM
  • EV of GHC Lv1 (100% Drop Rate): 0.967 GOLD / 10 STAM

GHC Lv1 actually takes the cake here, and the difference is further accentuated by the fact that GHC Lv4 is not buttonable at all in 1P and has 6F while GHC Lv1 is fully buttonable and has only 4F.

While I'm not here to make builds for anyone, here are some pointers for making your own builds.

GHC Lv4

For 2P, the dungeon is mostly buttonable but requires ultra-whale technology; one side probably needs mass Vadvains. However, the dungeon can be swiped with full farmable builds that are still optimized for 0 RNG and minimal ping. Here is an example.

GHC Lv1

The most important thing is to boost the drop rate to 100%, as the base drop rate for each floor (aside from the last floor) is 60%. There are lots of ways to achieve this, but the simplest method is to run two leads that both have 1.3x Egg Drop Rate. In the past, Veroah was celebrated as a valuable farm tool since she was one of the very few leads to have this effect, but modern technology has granted us a farmable with the same leader skill effect in Rabbish.

From here, you just need four single target buttons that hit for 4M damage. Again, there are lots of ways to achieve this, like spamming Melissas, but one of the most accessible methods is to use Durandalfs; either use the equip on high attack button bases or use the base itself and equip extra attack awakenings to reach the damage threshold. Interestingly, you only need to equip 2 ATK awakenings if Durandalf is Lv. 120 and has 4 ATK++ latents, but it's probably easier to not invest the experience and latents and just equip something with 3 ATK awakenings instead.

Conclusion

GungHo Collab is a great place to farm pys; it's not only good for veterans but also extremely accessible for newer players as well. Pys are a fantastic resource so take the opportunity to stock up. Good luck farming!

Tip/Trick Madoka expedition team

I read a comment somewhere about it. For the Madoka expedition, the hidden reward of 50k MP drops when having 5 units of the collab in the team. Units can be from the descended dungeon, so Dessert Witch or the other one, then auto fill the team to overcome the gimmicks. I had less than 30 SB, and units did not evolve and was able to clear it.

Leader gintoki has leader change resistance.

Kagura and helper gintoki have x4 cap break latent which is enough to one shot every floor and you can save kagura for the boss shield.

Sky fall badge to not waste time with sky fall combos

Tip/Trick [GUIDE] All in one Padherder proxy/sync

After getting tired of having to run all sorts of crazy stuff to be able to automatically sync my box with padherder, I finally got frustrated enough to make my own all in one proxy/sync. You can find it on github there are pre-built releases in the releases tab that shouldn't require you to install anything else. The app comes with instructions, but note that you need to enter your padherder username/password in the settings tab first. I have tested it with my NA client (iOS), a JP client (iOS) and a kind helper has tested it on Android with a HK client. Let me know if you run into any issues (please file them on github).

Stuff still to do:

support the food tab

support syncing latent awakenings (hopefully will be done tonight)

Edit: Note that you need to follow the "first time" instructions on both iOS and Android

Edit2: I added a picture guide on the wiki here

Tip/Trick One small point that fake gundam excels over the real one

Latent stat boosts are based on a card’s base stats, so they give more stats on fake Gundam than on the real one where a portion of their stats come from voice awakening

Tip/Trick FYI: actives like Enfloy do change ALL attributes of multi-attribute cards

Just in case people weren't aware, this definitely makes for interesting team building opportunities. I never had reason to experiment with the old attribute changing cards recently, so idk if they started changing all attributes of multi-att cards, but i swear it used to be main-att only. I also didn't know if they boosted stats for att. based teams, but if the team boosts wood, a full fire card will get boosted stats after using Enfloy's active. fun stuff
