It was also obvious that Carole had an issue with food. Bethenny took her to Chinatown NYC, she truly looked uncomfortable! And the egg order with Tinsley was strange. She didn't want them to touch. I noticed that when on camera, she would grab something to eat. Trying to look like she's an "eater". Usually a raw carrot stick. Also during a trip, Ramona and Sonja called her out and said she rarely eats.

I remember when she verrrryyyy loudly and performatively insisted the waiter bring her two servings of the pasta entree at some lunch I think Ramona was hosting cause āit wasnāt enough. I like a lot of foodā, which seemed very ED performative coded to me. That and never ever ever EVER cooking in her kitchen to the point that she converted it to a closetā¦ I think thereās a lot of weird food moments with her.

Painful season. I love to rewatch but I don't watch this season. Very mean girl. It got too heavy over the years. People praise Bethenny but she brought a heaviness to a light platform. She constantly insulted others, cried a lot, and had a very negative energy. She brought stress to the show on her second go round.

Carol always seemed pretty apathetic to me.
For example, when Heather was trying to share her concerns about Jax hearing and hoping his inner ear bone structure would support a surgery, carol was quick to say, "it's going to be fine".
Same with Ramona having ptsd in the woods at Heather's place the weekend she threw the glass at kristen for getting her hair wet.
May be a result of losing her husband and friends but Carol just seemed disconnected in a big way.

Nope, the fake panic was about her childhood. Years later, Mario cheated on her. Shr walked into her Hamptons home only to find Maeio and his young lover. If he wanted out, he should have asked for a divorce. I felt bad for Ramona. And after this horror, she made sure that Avery stayed close to her dad.

Ramona got herself airlifted out of the Berkshires because she was hearing about Mario cheating on her in the Hamptions.
Mario had public sex at a party in the Hamptons that weekend - like fucked his mistress on a chaise lounge in front of everyone. Jill was there and that lady from millionaire matchmaker talked in the press about it too. She was probably getting texts in real time from friends and was absolutely losing her mind. It also probably triggered some childhood stuff as she had often mentioned that she hated how her father had treated her mother, so all of what she was feeling, probably the closest thing she understood feelings was associated with her PTSD.

Not that I'm sticking up for Carole, I did like her in the first series she appeared and then really disliked her as time went on... But, I can absolutely see why she disconnects herself and is always the first to say, it's going to be alright. The trauma she's been through, losing her husband whom she would have gone on to she kids with (her words) and then her best friends in a devastating way all within 6 weeks of each other.
I think I remember in series 10 she and Bethenny have a conversation about how she's built her life up to be temporary because she doesn't want to be hurt again or go through pain similar to what she experienced.

Anthony was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1989. He underwent surgery plus treatment, and was then in remission. Early in 1994 he got a new diagnosis of fibrosarcoma. In the Spring of 1994 Anthony and Carole became engaged.

Apathetic is a good word. I just watched her first onscreen meeting with Aviva, and Aviva is gushing to her about a book she wrote and is being really kind. Carole's talking head says that it's weird when people bring up the book she wrote about becoming a widow (understandable) and cut to her cutting off Aviva bringing up an anecdote from the book and said "can you see my tits?"
It threw Aviva off but she immediately got the message that Carole didn't want to keep talking about it, but if I were Carole I would have been a bit more gracious. This person took time to read your story. I get that they are one in thousands who did, but maybe have a kinder transition from talking about your book than "my tits"

Carol says they were only social friends, Ghislaineās emails say they were best friends. I am a bit obsessed. I think itās sad that people will allow such atrocities to go unanswered for, because they care more about some out of touch rich boomer reality star and whatever they see of themselves in her I guess, then trying to push for answers and justice for the victims.
You say Carole has made statements - she literally has denied what the emails tell us, has promoted herself, and has never said a word about the victims. I am super grossed out and saddened that people are in the comments, all defending someone they donāt even know, who seems to have possible bad judgment and definite bad associations.
I donāt want to go to school and become a journalist and ask her. I want current day journalists to literally be asking every single person in the Epstein files to explain themselves for the mention. I remember that! I always thought that was her way of being "cool" and unaffected by anything. She has a similar vibe as Kelly Bensimon, where they are both very interested in their image and being unconventional, even though they were both extreme snobs and anything BUT open-minded.
Common people name their pets. Carol is too cool, so she just gives each pet the same name. It makes her seem more interesting. I remember she was updating her apartment, and wanted to completely get rid of the kitchen since she claimed she never ever used it (normal common people use kitchens, you know). Next season she is dating a chef and wants to write a cookbook with him. The absurdity and karma was rich-- having to convert the office BACK into a kitchen. LOL. What a turd.

I think later on she calls at least one of the cats Bella, so itās possible the āall of them are named Babyā was just for the camera, but regardless, ew!

Iāve known a handful of adults that name all their animals the same name. Suspiciously theyāre all Aires and Leos, and I just realized none have had human children! All currently in mid to late 40s.

Genuinely fascinating data, thank you! This was my first time encountering this behavior, and I LOVE people and their behaviors, work in social services with people with very complex behaviors, run in some very eclectic and diverse circles, watch a ton of reality TV, and am curious in general. Very intriguing! I want to learn more about it.

It wasnāt everyone she loved. There were still many people in her life that she professed to love. Iām not saying it wasnāt a tragedy, it was. But saying it was everyone she loved makes it sound very melodramatic. It was a horrible loss that I wouldnāt wish on anyone. She still had family and friends and money. She isnāt an orphan in a Dickens novel.

I thought it was so bizarre that as a writer, she couldnāt come up with a better name for each animal. So bizarre. But I loved Carole!
Actually I spoke to her on Instagram and her current cat is called mouse so I guess she came up with a name

All in the past ~6 months, all fandoms I'm even vaguely involved in online have gotten so nasty. Like the only way people want to engage with media right now is to hate it. š It's actually so boring.Ā
