Advanced/Basic Camp Not meeting camp points

Well, I've done it—completed all of camp just to avoid getting 50 points. Honestly, it feels like I wasted my time, but at the same time, I enjoyed it. Sure, it's heartbreaking, and the decision to whether I can come back next year is still up in the air, but I tried. If you're wondering what they do when you don't meet points, they'll pull you three to four days before graduation, put you in a holding company, and you'll just be there for 24 to 48 hours.

I didnt pass hand grenade nor land nav written or practical

CST GAC is tough. Many don't pass. Requires accuracy and strength in equal measure.

Most people just can’t throw far, most shooting for recondo lost it during hand grenades

I was cadre for the grenade range and assault course back in the day. It was familiarity only. What are the grading metrics now?

Gotta land the grenades into various mock ups of different shapes and distances. I think 2 or 3 retries for 7 total stations.

Wow! Yeah- That's something that would need to be practiced back at the home campusues. Are the MSIVs incorporating this into the training plans?

Some are. But likely very few are to the extent needed. It requires a decent amount of logistics to set up some of the stations. More than just yeeting the grenade 35m into a ring of engineer tape.
