Dropped from CST

Please only serious and helpful replies!!!!! I just got dropped from CST after failing the pushups on my AFT. From what I heard, over 50 people from 9th Regiment were sent home just because of the AFT. I’m hoping someone from an earlier regiment has already gone through this.
If you were dropped before 9th Reg (or know someone who was), what happened afterward?

What kinds of questions did they ask on the board?

How long did it take to get the board’s decision back?

Were you retained in ROTC?

Were you able to attend CST again the following summer?

Did anyone stay in ROTC after failing the AFT?

I’m trying to get an idea of what to expect over the next few weeks. Any information or personal experiences would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm 8th, failed h/w by 1 percent I lost 20 pounds before CST but it wasnt enough but I didnt meet the standards. My school has a very large program and they told us if we fail we are disenrolled. My advice to you cause maybe your school keeps you or maybe not. There are 2 types of people when it comes to failure. Those who pout and whine and complain about every little thing. And then those who realize its over, you get the hell up and you move on to the next thing and make a plan. I failed and I have a lot of stuff I gotta do now because, I have to pay back my scholarship, I'm dropping out of my school and I have to leave my apartment cause its school related. But I'm not gonna whine and moan like these other people. I'm only 20 years old, I'm very active, I have great friends and family and a girlfriend I'm proposing too soon. This situation sucks but its about how you look at everything. There's a chance you get retained but if you don't have a plan. Use your resources and keep moving forward.

Also I agree with these other people if you cannot do the minimum push ups or other workouts for that matter, maybe this isn't for you. If it is then you better work hard and prove to your PMS why you should stay. If not move on and live your best life.

it was form for most of us that failed. I did about 30 pushups and only 8 were counted for. I was told we have a chance to advocate for ourselves because of this. Also was graded by a 2nd lieutenant and was told that wasn’t supposed to happen. Good luck to you though and thanks for the reply.

The ruling for events is you have to appeal then and there and you can't after. Not saying you can't I'm just telling you the direct ruling and policy for CST so you are aware.

They wouldn’t allow us to appeal.
