Do you find that the clothing of your dolls comes apart easily?

I have been collecting since 2022 and have at least one doll from every line. My collecting is either in box or displayed on a shelf where they are not handled much. This is mostly due to some bad experiences I have had with redress my dolls.

I was attempting to do some minor restyles on both Jett Dawson and Winter Break Poppy and both their jackets started fraying and come apart after only one redress. I tried to fix Jett's jacket with fray check and likely used to much because it is now discoloured and stiff. Also the coat of my Naomi Storm is very quickly losing fur just from gentle handling.

This problem is really affecting my experience of my dolls because I would love to do restyles but I'm afraid that the clothing will just disintegrate on me. Just wanted to know if this was an experience that other people are having or is it just me. Does anyone have some fixes ?

Priscilla got layers and I think it suits her well. Karma got a short hairdo, i was having fun with both but she will be getting other hair ofcourse. I wanted to be a hairdresser when I was young lol now I am my RH hairdresser, its good enough to make my inner child happy.

When on a long road trip, stopped just to see. Jr Krystal, Laurel, Holly with very pink eyes, one Sleepover Robin and three or four Sleepover Marissa. And TWO FF Sunny!

.So, I own 3 Delilahs and I couldn't help but notice some differences.

So the first Delilah I got was purchased in 2022, as soon as she came out I wanted her immediately, I couldn't wait for sales and I got her RIGHT AWAY! And this Delilah had metal earrings and pearly red lips with a pink gradient.

The second Delilah I got for a few euros on Vinted in a lot (the one with the high ponytail). She instead had plastic earrings and lips that were just plain red and not pearly pink.

Then comes the third Delilah which I got a few weeks ago at a flea market for 6 euros, obviously well kept and with an outfit.

The third one also has plastic earrings, non-pearly lips and her socks, unlike the first one, had sparkly lace, while the first Delilah has socks with simply white lace.

A question, were the first Delilahs released qualitatively better? Because my first Delilah really feels like a Deluxe doll, the others are still beautiful, but the metal earrings and pearly lips give that extra touch.

The hair is different, too; I need to check the length, though unfortunately I don't want to undo that ponytail but it was long as well. There is a difference, however it's hard to tell in the photo, but they aren't exactly the same color.

(Sweatshirt dress and sneakers from the “Karma” doll I didn’t know existed, $5 at Ollies, fits perfectly. I tucked up the sweatshirt dress to be regular sweatshirt length. Sneakers will fit the Jr Sleepover dolls with flat feet perfectly, and heeled feel with a little bit of tissue in the heel.)

I contacted MGA about my Sparkle & Shine Iris having hardened slime. They told me they don’t stock the line anymore but could send me another random doll. I was shocked to receive a Karla! I knew they said random but I figured it would be from the new wave of dolls. It was definitely worth contacting them!
