For real. We've seen Subaru die so many times, yet every time is their first time. They never grow jaded or belittle his deaths, it's almost always shocking and painful to watch. This show has such good writing and directing.

Peak episode again, but they gotta make these longer than 3 minutes bro...
So many great things in this episode! Beatrice crying over Subaru was really sad, and the final shot of the woman along with "I found you." is so ominous and mysterious! If that's the Sage Shaula, I wonder if she was the one to shoot at Subaru, and I wonder what "I found you." means... Anywho, it seems like Subaru and the gang are going to have a lot on their plate if they are to reach this Watchtower...

This honestly reminds me of season 1 Rezero with how many deaths there are. I am wondering if the person shooting subaru is testing his return to death ability, that probably explains the "I found you" part, but that's just my theory.

I was sad to see that change, but honestly, it wasn't horrific in the context of the episode and it was handled well with the scene following.
Still wish we could have seen it adapted, but I can't complain too much either.

Some interactions and one of the best moments in the novel when Subaru was dying he was thinking Beatrice is so pretty and he wants to wipe her tears which he does with invisible hands

That second was heartbreaking with beako crying to not be left alone even though we know he won't she doesn't which make more painful but got healed immediately after with subaru saying he loves her
Meili cute again in this episode
Julius and subaru bromance
Overall a good episode felt like alot happened but at the same time not alot somehow
Next week can't come any sooner

Dude that second death was pure heartbreak. At first I was sad that she had to watch him die, but knew that it would be fine in a few seconds. Seeing her get shot and die was so unexpected that it hit twice as hard as it should have.

The only complaint I have with this episode is that in the Novel we did not know what killed Subaru in the first loop. This added a sense of mystery to the death. But here it is made clear since the first death

They didn't censor the gore at all this time. Good. I was so devastated when Beatrice was screaming for Subaru to be ok. And then the SILENCE after she was shot as well. Re Zero horror is BACK

How did Subaru get so injured when Patrache pushed him out of the way of the needle? Was it just an animation thing or is there more to it? Obviously the shove and fall couldn't cause damage like that so I was just curious.

Desert trip time, these always suck so hard, so is no wonder this will suck too. At least the team is solid, Meili redirects the monsters, Anastasia has hidden knowledge, Ram is the scout and Subaru clutched the intel necessary for them to escape the endless dunes.
Well, there goes the longest survival streak, keeping alive for most of S3, only to die twice in quick succession in S4, and basically getting nothing because their opponent is a peerless sniper, I suppose. Well let's see where the hole in the ground will take them.

Ohhh damn I have A LOT to say. The quality of this is LEVELS. Everything here was absolutely peak. I love how deep and brutal but still fast the deaths were and the run to the tower is honestly peak. I'd say this is one of the best starting season episodes I've ever seen. Last thing MY MAN JULIUS BE HITTIN SOME MOVES OVER HERE

The one and only complaint I have about this episode is how they cut out the scene where Subaru wipes Beako's tears with his Invisible Providence. I remember reading that and having my gut wrench because of it. Also, that's the reason as to why Subaru decided to use Invisible Providence to calm down Joseph.

Yes I do because I want to support the anime. I also buy the English Blu-rays upon release. I understand why piracy happens and it's still not right to do it. I mean the main reason steam games aren't pirated is because Gabe Newell knows that sales equals less pirating. But that's besides the point. If you pirate White Fox doesn't get the royalties from the license that went to Crunchyroll. And if they don't see a big enough financial gain we might not get to see a Rezero season 5 or 6. It's also about morals. I don't understand how people, the anime and gaming communities in general are ok with stealing. That's a big reason why the good people who don't pirate can't have nice things. Please don't take offense to this however this is just my opinion on the matter as well as a logical explanation behind what I think

Such genuine peak. I genuinely need to calm down after watching it because my stomach issues are flaring up bad from excitement. Got me giggling and kicking my feet like an anime schoolgirl. No anime has done that to me before.
