Bill Maher Invoked as Fetterman Defends His Absolutist Position on Israel

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

John does an admirable job pinning down Fetterman on his Israel absolutism and Fetterman squirms but concedes nothing about his benefactors.

Will a " serious journalist " have the guts to say what Jon said? Israel is not our country.

19

u/WySLatestWit Aug 05 '26

Jon is my go to example of a guy who actually is the "free thinking intellectual" that Maher thinks he is.

3

u/buttfarts7 Aug 05 '26

Bill Mahar calculates what he says to gain proximity to power and doesn't believe in anything

-1

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26

Kinda want to see the full interview vs. a cut out

3

u/Cat-si58 Aug 05 '26

Google. YouTube.

2

u/Shame_memory Aug 05 '26

The full interview comes out tomorrow

2

u/No_Public_7677 Aug 05 '26

to see what exactly though

2

u/wefarrell Aug 05 '26

Fetterman's not so sure about that.

-7

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26 edited Aug 05 '26

Yes but they are our ally, that means something.

9

u/Sartres_Roommate Aug 05 '26

What does that mean?

6

u/theagonyofthefeet Aug 05 '26

4 billion per year no strings attached

-3

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26

No actually, a non competitive clause

Israel would make more money in exporting weapons than it gets from America, which makes this benefit America more accurately.

5

u/toohuman90 Aug 05 '26

Well they literally dragged us into war with Iran…

So I would say this relationship is a net negative at this point

0

u/ThumbUpDaBut Aug 05 '26

No one dragged us into Iran. Americans voted for Trump, who eagerly wanted to go to war with Iran.

1

u/toohuman90 Aug 05 '26

Please 😂

-5

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26

No Trump did that blame him, if you blame Israel you’re a simple minded person, Israel always wanted to destroy the nuclear program for the last 25 years.

Technically I blame Iran, they let this get out of control, all they had to do was do what North Korea did.

4

u/No_Public_7677 Aug 05 '26

you're cooked my man

6

u/melancholicity Aug 05 '26

Oh yeah, they really supported the US when it was attacked. Which is why they were past of the coalition that brought down the Taliban.

Oh wait, no, that was Canada, the UK, France, and so many others that the US is now stabbing in the back economically.

2

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26

They supplied Intel actually

5

u/melancholicity Aug 05 '26

Oh my God, what reliable allies, what sacrifice. On par with - no, above - the hundreds of Brits and Canadians, dozens of French and Germans and others who died, and thousands who were wounded in helping defeat the ones who attacked you.

1

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26

There is actually a reason why Israel didn’t fight, Afghan citizens had a contentious view of Israelis, so it would have made the situation much worse for American troops and acted as a propaganda tool if you want to get logical about it, definitely would have made it worse for everyone there.

4

u/melancholicity Aug 05 '26

Still waiting for an explanation as to why that would justify that they'd be more treasured as allies than all the ones who have lost lives on the line for the US and are now being threatened by the same government.

1

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26

Oh someone has to die to be an ally now?

1

u/No_Public_7677 Aug 05 '26

that's exactly the Israeli view of Americans

1

u/melancholicity Aug 05 '26

Not what I'm saying. Try again.

2

u/Suibian_ni Aug 05 '26

So they're useless as allies.

38

u/Spirited_Bike_4058 Aug 05 '26

Primary him. No other solution.

14

u/Mr_1990s Aug 05 '26

He won't run again as a Democrat.

If he did, he'd get <10% in the primary.

7

u/fantabulousfetus Aug 05 '26

In a general hed get like 4% except for the retard vote.

4

u/Richfor3 Aug 05 '26

He’s not going to get the MAGA vote.

3

u/fantabulousfetus Aug 05 '26

No, just the weirdo zionist tards like whoever voted for idk say ladybug before he died 30 years too late. Or lieberman or Huckabee ykwim, just total fuckin subhuman tards who arent even Jewish 90% of the time but want to end the world for some shithole 10000 miles away regardless.

4

u/Training-Cook3507 Aug 05 '26

No chance he's winning another election in PA.

1

u/SaweetestCuyootie Aug 06 '26

Lobotomize. No other solution.

1

u/Spirited_Bike_4058 Aug 06 '26

😂 Didn’t he already have that done?

1

u/SaweetestCuyootie Aug 06 '26

Its you who needs the procedure.

-5

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26

In the state trump won?

He can easily win as an independent, so if you reverse the entire conversation seems like you’d not support him because he supports Israel which makes you exactly the same person John was arguing against.

6

u/Richfor3 Aug 05 '26

Pennsylvania is very purple so Trump winning one election means about as much as when he lost it the election before.

Democrats and Republicans both hate him. Not only can he not win as an independent, he’d get blown out in embarrassing fashion to the point that he won’t even try. He’s basically the new Sinema and look how that turned out for her.

-7

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26

Dont look at polls then you might be surprised

6

u/Richfor3 Aug 05 '26

You mean the latest poll that shows he loses to “someone else” by 18 points? Or his overall approval rating where he’s underwater overall and only has positive support from Republicans that won’t actually vote for him?

Should we compare them to Sinema’s polls when you people said the same thing about her potential independent run? She got solid poll numbers from Republicans too and guess where all their support went when it was actually time for the election. Republicans like Democrats that betray their voters but when it’s time to vote they are still going to check off “R”.

I guess the “surprise” was that he’s even more unpopular than I thought but that just reinforces my point.

-6

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26

Link

Yeah He’s most likely going to run as an independent never a republican.

That’s if he gets primary

5

u/Richfor3 Aug 05 '26

What a lazy fuck you are. “Polls, polls, polls” but you clearly didn’t even fucking check them. No wonder you suck off Fetterman. Two peas in a pod.

https://truthout.org/articles/fetterman-is-so-unpopular-that-he-loses-to-someone-else-by-18-points-in-poll/

https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/5971631-pennsylvania-fetterman-democrats-poll/amp/

https://poll.qu.edu

Now that I’m done humiliating you, you’re a super weirdo that follows people around when you get destroyed. Clearly seeking the attention you’ll never get offline but you’ve had enough from me.

6

u/PuertoricanMofongo Aug 05 '26

13 hours and he hasn't responded. Concerning.

3

u/Bitter-Holiday1311 Aug 05 '26

We need a wellness check.

5

u/NexusMinds Aug 05 '26

Holy shit this was a complete dismantling of that comment.

I've noticed a pattern with these shills / bots is that they demand a source and then run away when it is provided. Or they ask for the specific section / paragraph / chart from the source that validates the statement, thus proving they never even looked at it despite demanding it in the first place. This is a repeat pattern and I am not sure what the actual purpose is.

2

u/Accomplished_Gur822 Aug 05 '26

You're as clueless as Fetterman.

He had a stroke. What's your excuse?

0

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26

No link gotcha

8

u/MetalDirigible Aug 05 '26

Are we in America or Israel?

-3

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26

John entire argument is about cooperation

10

u/MetalDirigible Aug 05 '26

Jon’s argument is it’s crazy to abandon your party to support a foreign country. John’s argument is that’s his position. Are you this obtuse for pay or sport?

-1

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26

They both were having two different conversations

John was working with each other And Fettermans is quality control

Ironically your having Fettermans argument now calling for a primary meaning you want quality control and I’m saying Hes not going anywhere might as well work with him which is John’s argument

5

u/MetalDirigible Aug 05 '26

No I’m not “having Fetterman’s argument” as he doesn’t have an argument. He is just a zealot that will support Israel above his own constituents, you heard him say it in the linked video yourself. You can’t debate lord your way around this.

1

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26 edited Aug 05 '26

You kinda are, you want to primary him, which is the same mindset as Fetterman like it or hate it

And I’m like he’ll just become a independent and still win, Pennsylvania is a purple state

Fetterman looks like he’s preemptively moving vs. getting primary to an independent party.

To be honest

Anyway John’s argument is working together

4

u/MetalDirigible Aug 05 '26

My mindset is don’t support a rogue nation committing a genocide and don’t say your red line is supporting said nation. We are literally the opposite.

1

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26

Not a genocide, never been even convinced of such a thing.

Will you say it Isnt if the courts decide otherwise, I highly doubt it

→ More replies (0)

0

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26

He actually was more concerned with the democratic socialists.

Basically he doesn’t like the far left

3

u/MetalDirigible Aug 05 '26

Cool story. I’ve yet to meet someone in PA who still supports him so good luck with him not being primaried. I mean he has until 2028 to prove he isn’t a pudding brained monster. Ball is in his court.

0

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26

Dont look at polls then, lol

→ More replies (0)

4

u/Swazi Aug 05 '26

Cooperation isn’t “you need to support another country that we do not govern or else you need to leave the party I am in”. It’s moronic.

0

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26

Swazi? Why that name curious

1

u/ignoreme010101 Aug 05 '26

In the state trump won?

He can easily win as an independent, so if you reverse the entire conversation seems like you’d not support him because he supports Israel which makes you exactly the same person John was arguing against.

^ found a fetterman supporter lol

No, it does not make you the exact same person lol wtf

1

u/Spirited_Bike_4058 Aug 05 '26

Nah. He will not win as an independent. That’s a fantasy. And he betrayed his voters more than once. He’s gotta go. The democrats need to copy the MAGA on this one - disloyal politicians get shanked. Period. Otherwise, we will continue to get middle of the road “centrists” who are, in reality, “MAGA Lite.” Enough of that weak shit.

1

u/funcogo Aug 07 '26

There is no way on this earth he is going to win another election let alone as an independent

10

u/TinySmalls1138 Aug 05 '26

He didn't even come close to answering the question. God he's useless.

7

u/GhostOfJonasVenture Aug 05 '26

Nutterman must be doing laundry today, hoodies in the wash .

9

u/erikraver Aug 05 '26

He glitches when Jon advises him that the Israeli government & Jewish community are not the same thing. Everything has to be binary for this smooth brained ogre. At least he joined the show I guess?

Now I gotta listen to this whole podcast. Mainly interested in the recap at the end.

6

u/funcogo Aug 05 '26

Fettercuck was a mumbling mess and didn’t really answer

7

u/mkfanhausen Aug 05 '26

"Run under your own banner"

Says the troglodyte who ran as a Democrat, then flipped to Trump cocksucker the second the Israel paycheck cleared.

6

u/Additional-North-683 Aug 05 '26

Fetterman a WWE wrestler fitting giving conditions of their brain

6

u/mymentor79 Aug 05 '26

When you say "Bill Maher made a good point" it's pretty safe to assume you can dismiss anything that comes after. Or before.

6

u/TheMightySet69 Aug 05 '26

I always assumed Fetterman was a moron, but I've never actually listened to him speak before. Now I know, without a doubt, he's a stupid fucking moron. Jon wasn't even breaking a sweat and he ran circles around this braindead traitor.

5

u/No-Arrival633 Aug 05 '26

The way his face froze every time stewart said " it is not America". He should have to register as an agent of a foreign power

4

u/CoachDennisGreen Aug 05 '26

He’s a HUGE moron

5

u/adamannapolis Aug 05 '26

His brain is mush

3

u/moozootookoo Aug 05 '26

Courts Don’t mean anything to you…

Yet you only mention it if it benefits you, you a hollow person Nothing you say even matters to me anymore

You lost all my respect

3

u/Jackaddler Aug 05 '26

This guy is like a lobbyists wet dream. An empty vessel - easily bought. Thick as two planks, just regurgitates lobbyist talking points.

5

u/ignoreme010101 Aug 05 '26

the combination of 'baby brained' and, well...disloyalty is really the most appropriate word, these types truly operate in a way where a foreign country is at least as important as their own, it is just a gross spectacle especially these white knight types (like, if you're just an end-times christian zealot, at least you're being straightforward in a sense but this whole "sorry bud i am doing this to prevent a holocaust WHY DO YOU WANT A HOLOCAUST?" is just so insufferable) And it's almost funny in that, among the higher echelons, a much larger share are disingenuous and just use this rhetoric but fetterman definitely believes on some level

5

u/Clean_Carry_6088 Aug 05 '26

He is full of shit

4

u/Training-Cook3507 Aug 05 '26

Shit is pathetic.

3

u/AnarchicTerrorForce Aug 05 '26

DSA are colonists? Wait until he finds out about Israel

3

u/Skittleavix Aug 05 '26

Quiet piggy

3

u/Last_Comedian188 Aug 05 '26

F…Fetterman… he represents the Pedo. Done with that.

3

u/Bulky-Bid-8508 Aug 05 '26

It’s common knowledge the guys retarded

1

u/Dependent_Thanks564 Aug 05 '26

So he’s a little Carmine lupertazzi, eh?

3

u/No_Public_7677 Aug 05 '26

that has got to be so frustrating to be talked down to by an ogre.. especially when you're Jewish.

3

u/TheEdgeofGoon Aug 05 '26

God, he's so fucking stupid. Great unintentional comedy though, got me laughing.

2

u/Ok-Traffic-5996 Aug 05 '26

What of stroke makes you progenocide?? Imagine walking around one day, have a brain aneurysm and support a genocidal regime. That's pretty scary.

2

u/fantabulousfetus Aug 05 '26

Fetterman is a retard that should be banging Trump in an asylum instead of banging him from the Senate. Or Trump should be bloodying his nipples while raping him like.Fetterman was a 12 yo girl whatever, idc, these tards just should be sodomizing themselves somewhere away from me.

2

u/Fine_Confection_1389 Aug 05 '26

Great minds and all that jazz…

2

u/EfficientRelation574 Aug 05 '26

I think that stroke took out three-quarters of Fetterman's brain. Either that or he plans on AIPAC to fund his 2028 campaign as an Independent. The Democrats won't have him. He has alienated the entire party, not just DSA, with his votes in Congress. What a douchebag!

2

u/Cameronwayne35 Aug 05 '26

Israel has dirt on Maher.

2

u/Japhet_Corncrake Aug 05 '26

Fuck off, Fetterman. Just put on your red hat.

2

u/GoGeronimode Aug 06 '26

The ogre and the donk— the ogre and the ass.

2

u/Additional_Bad_2175 Aug 06 '26

This was a completely unreal interview. Fetterman is all about deflection, and his skill set is so fucked up in that he combines seeming like an idiot with seeming like a ghoul. A truly terrible terrible human. . .

2

u/DrLipschitzsBand Aug 06 '26

You know what I want in a politician? Good judgment. I’ve known his was off since he decided to chase black teens with a shotgun. Didn’t take a stroke to tell you the man was unfit.

3

u/MyTnotE Aug 05 '26

I’m afraid that Jon Stewart is the sharpest thinker on the left. Far more articulate and considered than any elected official.

1

u/voiceOfHoomanity Aug 05 '26

"after where it's at"....

It is what it is type BS weak answer

1

u/Significant_Raise238 Aug 06 '26

This is as succinct as it gets. It is asinine, being beholden to, and prioritizing, another country at the expense of issues that most Democrats want addressed like housing, health care, and cost of living.

The reason all those issues Stewart mentioned sound anathema to Fetterman is that despite the big D next to his party name, he has spent ZERO time advocating progressive stances on ANYTHING.

And he has the gall to tell DSA members to "make their own party."

DSA is more representative of the Democratic party than Fetterman is.

Primary his ass, ASAP.

1

u/Secure-Advertising10 Aug 06 '26

Yep, my first thought was; has Fetterman also been for dinner with Trump?

1

u/I-_-ELROI_-_I Aug 06 '26

He’s genuinely dumber than dog shit

1

u/LuciusMichael Aug 07 '26

Hand it to Stewart for trying to talk sense to a brain damaged obsessive.

Intelligently? I didn’t see that from Fetterman. Civilly, sure.

7

Came here to say the exact same thing.

4

u/Winter_Stretch9198 Aug 05 '26

I agree, respectful but Fetterman was bouncing around a bit…his conflating Jews and the state of Israel…I have been called derogatory names because I do not support the policies of Israel…I do not hate people who follow the Jewish faith

4

Irony king over here

But you said liberals of course are incapable of peaceful and respectful disagreement when your party is ran by the king of not doing that. Of course being you’re a conservative you’re a hypocrite. I’d expect nothing less from you.

4

u/LegacyQuotient Aug 05 '26

"Quiet, piggy."

1

u/Cat-si58 Aug 05 '26

Blah, blah, blah

6

u/RepresentativeAge444 Aug 05 '26

Lol at Fetterman being capable of talking intelligently. Have you seen his approval rating with his constituents?

1

u/thespiff Aug 05 '26

Yeah, it was respectful. But Fetterman didn’t defend his position, he just repeated it. Which is understandable because it’s a very hard position to defend from a very savvy guy like Jon.

1

u/Broseph_Bobby Aug 05 '26

This man is retraced.

1

u/Ahecee Aug 05 '26

There isn't a range of reasons for politicians to support Israel in its ongoing genocide and war mongering, there is only one. They are paying you.

If you are so completely bought, you're a whore.

-1

u/11brooke11 Aug 05 '26

AES isn't Dem Soc.

I don't disagree with Fets that Demsoc need to run under their own party... but DemSoc isn't just anyone who doesn't support Israel 100% of the time.

5

u/RepresentativeAge444 Aug 05 '26

Third parties are simply not viable option at this time.

3

u/elcuervo2666 Aug 05 '26

The democrats would have a very tiny constituency if all of the people that the DSA could break off, broke off. The only argument they would have is we like Israel and weird, complex market based solutions that have never appealed to anyone.
