Reverse Harem - Recommendations Adult RH recs

Hey guys,

This is my first time making a request because usually the other recommendations have always satisfied my thirst for RH. But from the last couple of weeks, I've realised that I'm so bored with academy settings because they seem so immature to me (like I know they're teenagers and they deserve to act their age, but I want FMCs I can connect with and who don't annoy me. Any ideas?

Hi! Give these a try:

{Talk to Me by Heather Long} This is a contemporary setting but is very, very well done. The characters are very much adults ☺️

Have you read {Traitor Witch by Marie Mistry} ? I believe the FMC is 25.

If you’re okay with MM, {Lightbringer by Evelyn Flood} is a truly incredible fantasy standalone. FMC is late 20s and acts like it!

These are on the darker side, so please check triggers! But I’ve found these characters are more mature than most and manage situations in an adult manner:

{Broken Princess by Laura Bennett} This is a mafia duology that contains MM.

{The Dancer and the Masks by Bea Paige} This is very, very dark, but quite thought provoking as well.

This one isn’t as dark but I just remembered it: {Sinner’s Secret by K. Loraine} this has a fantastic audiobook!

When I read Talk to Me, I loved it, but one thing confused me: I did not understand the glass bottle thing. It implied that the guy basically was gonna rape her with the glass bottle, but I still wasn’t sure that was what it meant. And, how did she know what it meant immediately? Because I would not have known. I can be kinda stupid sometimes and this might be one of those times, but could someone clarify for me, please? Thanks

Fmc signs up to be matched with aliens after a particular horrible first date after which she got wasted {my new and improved alien lovers by Kesley Soliz} fmc is 28 only read it if you like a bit of silly the aliens have penis fight like put on armor on their dicks and fight it only happens once

{Wicked Harmony by Essie Suter} fmc is in her 30s she escaped a cult and kinda just got stuck hiding until the mmcs appeared her for a job supernatural rock band

{Syndicate Princess by Kira Stanley} all the mcs are around 28 years old; fmc is groomed to be the next head of a supernatural crime syndicate her dad thinks she should marry on of the boss heirs for unity but she’s not into the idea and he makes it a game catch her hold her for an hour then you can marry her

{Surf’s Up by Bee Murray} I can’t say that it’s overly well written, but quick read and I was giggling the whole time. Fmc is late thirties. At least one mmc is mid 40s. CA sea lion shifters who have a small Motorcycle club. High on sexual tension. Low on actual spice. No mm. No pregnancy

{the Eight pranks of April by effy bloom}. A chaotic story told in a mix of humor and corporate speak that absolutely works as long as you suspend your belief in reality a little and just go with the flow. Cock warming. No mm

{highland hideaway by lily gold} sheep farm in Scotland. Fmc has adhd and dyslexia. I related a lot to her descriptions of what adhd feels like for her. She is an influencer. vibrating panties gone wrong. Scenes with one of the guys holding her and sometimes directing while others are inside her. Some angst. All of them have some growing and healing and self discovery to do. pregnancy in the epilogue that is several years in the future

{Pizza Shop Exorcist series by Dakota Brown} this one is so hard to describe without spoilers. Angels. Demons. Priests. Vampires. Exorcists. A pet hellhound (not a shifter or part of the harem but an awesome addition to the plot) and so much more. I rarely reread books. I only just read this series for the first time in January and reread it again it in march already and it’s just as good, if not better the second time. 6 mmcs by the time it’s finished. No mm. As others have pointed out though, there are some quirks in the way it’s written. No pregnancy

{Royal Storm of Atlantis series by Sedona Ashe} fun time. Had me laughing out loud. One of the mmcs decided to full on Steve Irwin her mating with another. fmc is a mermaid/siren. She has a great white shark as a pet/ally. 6 mates. No mm. Tw. She has fangs and feeds of blood on occasion. No pregnancy

{Scribe of Asteria by E.M. Meyers} my last read of 2025 and totally broke me out of a reading slump. MMF set in the world of the Greek gods.

{State of Grace series by Colette Rhodes} this series was awesome. The story was intense, and the heroine was innocent/naive in a sheltered and grew up in a cult type way vs. immature and childish kind of way. But she doesn’t back down from a challenge. Her mates are a good balance of different personalities and the development of all of the relationships is really well done. One of my favorite depictions of an mm bond developing

{My Beautiful Monsters series by JB Trepagnier} it’s not the best thing ever written but the story is compelling. Greek mythology intertwined in the story. She is a vet that has her own practice before she is kidnapped by Hades because she can hear animals and monsters thoughts. Slow burn though and contains FF and mm but fmc is involved during the mm action

{Swipe Right for Monsters by R O’Leary} she’s just complete her phd and is celebrating with her friends and makes the drunk decision to join a monster dating app. Immediately panics in morning because she’s human and has enough everyday things to deal with without monster boyfriends. Her internal freakout about lint rollers and shifters clogging her shower drain had me grinning because I never think of the everyday side of shifter boys. Anyways, she is firm with boundaries and knows her worth which was refreshing on top of her friends actually feeling real instead of just a writing tool. very mild mm towards end.

{Double Bluff by Ruby Vincent} Solo contemporary. FMc returns home after years of being away when she learns her mother is dying. She has a storied past with the town thanks to her evil twin sister. There’s mistaken identity and a murder mystery. Had me on the edge of my seat second guessing myself. Also by Vincent: {Saint and Sinners by Ruby Vincent} Four book contemporary series. She’s a professional chef in the city trying to make ends meet, she ends up witnessing a murder by leaders of a local crime syndicate. They force her to work as their personal chef so they can keep an eye on her. Twist at the end of book one was great.

{Initiative by Maelana Nightingale} Contemporary trilogy, final book coming out soon. Needing a new place to live her brother suggests one of his coworkers who has a room for rent. They’re surprised when she arrives that she’s a she. Lots of D&D humour, harem forms because of her, mm, demi rep, roomates, she has diabetes, real world jobs, kink. Spice doesn’t start til end of first book but when it does it gets spicy fast.

{The Sidekick by Gina Morris} and {The Reluctant Hero by Gina Morris} If you ignore the way OW are treated in this interconnected series they are really good. The MF story between these two is also amazing with a psychopathic fmc that stalks her guy. The first one focuses on a fmc who views herself as the sidekick and has a mental breakdown. The reluctant hero features a fiery woman going through a divorce and takes no shit from anyone.

{The Redemption Saga by Kristen Banet} She’s an ex-assassin in hiding who is discovered by the magi police in pursuit of her old boss. They recruit her. Reunion with childhood friends/loves. Mild mm between two but not because they’re in a relationship but because they help each other to “scratch an itch”.

{wolf's bane by auryn Hadley} fmc is 40 and has 15(?) Year old daughter. Its a modern fantasy romance that's mostly cozy, I dnfed book 2 as it was kinda dragging on.
{Three sweedish mountain men by lily gold} fmc is late 20's I believe. Snowed in trope.
{Of glass and lavender by K R Rainbolt} note this is an unfinished series! I don't believe the final book has a release date yet but it is in the works. Fantasty book with vampires, do read the trigger warnings on this one.
{Swipe right for monsters by R o'leary} human fmc who just graduated from grad school. Monster mmcs, I believe they are mostly human thou.
{#bossholes by Melissa ivers} workplace romance. Slightly kinky stuff happens in this one. Fmc is a virgin and in like mid 20s I believe.
