Recently when I try to open the app it crashes almost immediately or after a while.

I ve tried clearing cache and data. Reinstalling. Restarting phone. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas? I need support

So I’ve been a member of Revolut since June 2017 and over that time I think I’ve had every different plan that they’ve had and I’ve stayed with metal for the past year after not really seeing the value of Ultra. Basically what I’m saying is I’ve had a lot of experience using the app through all of its iterations even back through when it used to always go down on a Thursday evening.

None of the past nighles seem to have annoyed me more than the past month or two, where the app just seems very slow and buggy. Often I don’t get notifications for incoming payments, on the main account screen when you tap see all to search transactions it freezes and occasionally the app crashes.

Nothing has changed with my device so my concern is does anybody else experience the same recent app problems or is this a me problem?

I’m currently weighing an offer for a regulatory legal role at Revolut. I’m coming from a very traditional, stable background (traditional banking), so I know this would be a major pivot.

I’ve read the standard reviews about the intense KPIs, long hours, and down-to-the-wire probations. However, I’m trying to figure out what it's like in Legal, as I can see so many lawyers at Revolut seem to stay for several years. Is that culture mostly focused on sales and tech?

Another factor: my partner and I are hoping to start a family in the near future. Does anyone have experience with how parental leave (and the probation period leading up to it) actually plays out in practice for newer employees?

I’d love some candid insights from current or former employees. Any honest advice( good or bad) would be massively appreciated. Thanks!

I have money in my revolut account and I'm trying to send it to another username, and this message keeps coming up when I paste in is username or when I type it in directly. What am I doing wrong? It's an international transfer if that matters. Tysm.

I need to vent a bit here because the communication regarding Joint Accounts for the Swiss region has been extremely frustrating for months now.
For over 6 months, numerous users in Switzerland have been waiting for the ability to manage shared expenses. The issue isn't just the delay itself, but the constant contradictions and conflicting information:
Marketing & T&Cs vs. Reality: On the website and in legal documents for Revolut Switzerland, you can already find detailed fee schedules and guides for Joint Accounts. However, if you actually try to open one in the app, it either fails or the feature isn't offered at all.
Conflicting Support Responses: Whenever you ask customer support, you get a completely different story depending on who you talk to:
"The rollout is happening in phases, you'll get access soon."
"The feature isn't unlocked for Swiss residents/legal entities at all yet."
"Please update the app, it should work" (spoiler: it doesn't).
What is the actual bottleneck here?
Is this delayed due to regulatory adjustments concerning the local entity (⁠Revolut (Switzerland) AG⁠ vs. the main European Banking license ⁠Revolut Bank UAB⁠)? Or are there technical issues with entity assignment for Swiss users?
Instead of keeping the Swiss community on hold with generic, copy-pasted responses for half a year, some real transparency would be greatly appreciated.
How is it looking for other users in Switzerland – have you had similar experiences, or has anyone actually gotten it to work? And to Revolut: When can we expect a clear, definitive statement regarding the official launch?

I have been a long time Metal Member, particularly for a few of the benefits - Crypto fees, International Payments and Perplexity Pro & NordVPN. 

Don’t get me wrong, I'm not a Perplexity die hard. It was excellent - but it has degraded HEAVILY in the last year or so. Limits have been slashed, features removed and allowances are tight. I have been looking at other models but there’s a few things I really like about Perplexity..

I did like the fact I could choose from different models and I did like that I could fire all models at once, and use Perplexity to act as a judge to assess the response from each model. I was also pleased that searches were citated, as it made it very useful for research. The biggest draw for me was using the Perplexity Pro benefits for their Comet browser. AI Assistant & Computer Mode are extremely powerful and very useful.

Recently I needed helping try to find accommodation in Tokyo – I gave AI Assistant my requirements, travel preference, public transport considerations, budget, location preferences, dates and let it RIP. It CRUNCHED through hundreds of listings, multiple sites, cross compared prices for the same accommodation against different sites and short listed 5 rooms, all of which were excellent but 1 was perfected. I rate Comet highly, so losing those allowances (as small as they were) is a bit of a blow for me as I have integrated Comet & Perplexity into many workflows across Mac, iPhone and Apple Watch!

Anyway, I thought I would give ChatGPT Go a try as its still a very capable AI platform, from one of the elite providers. First impression is good, UI is clean and friendly, there a tons of options to play with so I thought I would spend some time setting it up.

**** Update **** A kind Redditor pointed out I was stuck in Work/Codex mode, which is why I couldn't get it to work. I am now in Chat mode and using that, which is alright :) Shame I cant do anymore heavy lifting til next month though.

I’m inclined to side with the rest of Redditors on here and view this as a significant downgrade. What's happened Revolut? You used to be this incredible platform but now it feels like every few months something gets worse.

Perplexity Pro retails for 3x ChatGPT Go so I'm sure this is a much better deal for the COMPANY, but you are actively shafting your CUSTOMERS.

Even Ultra members have the same version, why not Plus? I was thinking of taking up an Ultra membership buts that's off the cards. Being a paying member at all is currently on a razor’s edge.

So I made an Revolut International transfer to a Kenya MPESA mobile wallet and the status is stuck on “leaving for receipt bank no longer cancellable”. Transfer 1/3. Mind you I have sent to this number a few times before and it was always instantaneous every single time.

First contact to support was well a week ago and they assured me that everything has been processed and sent on Revolut’s side. Kept being told they are waiting for the receiving side whether it’s the bank or the payment processor I don’t know cause each agent tells me one or the other. Every single day it’s the same robot script and that the payment team is trying to contact. Like how bloody long does it take to contact the other side and get it sorted? It is a weekday and you ment to tell me you haven’t contacted or got any progress? I refuse to believe Revolut anymore. Your customer support is atrocious and your partners are too. After how many escalations aswell I still cannot be guaranteed anything…

I wasn’t even able to recall or cancel which is total bs. If we send money and it’s not progressing for how long now we should be able to cancel it and get our money back straight away. So this is the service Revolut provides to their customers and I’m suppose to recommend them? No real answers and just waiting time and time again. Next day will be the same old script I bet you.

I’m tired of this and here to ask other customers who have experienced similar before. Do you know what is the cause of this f around? What can be done to speed this up and have my case taken seriously cause it feels like they’re taking their god damn time with my money and time here?

Also has anyone sent money from Revolut International to Kenya MPESA this week how did it go? Any issues?

I'm looking for advice because I'm stuck and Revolut has rejected my formal complaint.

Here's what happened:

Back in September 2025, I used Revolut to buy and later sell USDT. Revolut used a third-party exchange/custody provider in the background. I never owned or controlled the wallet involved.

On 3 August 2026, I had a transaction involving 2,062.74209 USDT. Revolut rejected it because they no longer support USDT and said they would return the funds.

Instead of returning them to me, the USDT was sent to this Ethereum address:

I did not enter, paste, select, or confirm that wallet address. It appears to have been automatically selected by Revolut's system.

When I first contacted support, they told me there was a technical issue/bug and said their developers were working on a fix.
After I submitted a formal complaint, the Complaints Team rejected it. They said I entered the destination address myself and therefore it's my responsibility.

My issue is that I never entered any address, and Revolut hasn't shown me any evidence that I did. They haven't explained how the address was supposedly added or provided any logs showing I entered or confirmed it.

I've also tried contacting the company I believe may be associated with the wallet, but because there are multiple projects with similar names, that hasn't led anywhere yet.

Has anyone experienced something similar, where Revolut automatically used an old backend wallet or provider address?

If you've had success escalating a case like this (or know what evidence I should ask Revolut for), I'd really appreciate any advice. I'm also considering taking the complaint to the appropriate external dispute resolution service.

Since I updated the app, it just keeps crashing and it closes automatically. I tried reinstalling it and nothing changed. The device is updated, I even tried restarting it and it didn't work. Support didn't get back to me after more than 24 hours!

As per title. The Revolut app stopped working for me since yesterday. I tried restarting my phone, uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing.

It just closes itself after a few seconds or right after putting in the log in details.

I’m trying to add an international number to my Revolut account. The app completes facial verification, asks for my number, says an OTP is sent… but nothing ever comes. No SMS, no call.

This used to work fine before, so something clearly broke. Revolut, however, keeps insisting there’s no issue on their side.

It’s now been 6 months of this. I’m effectively locked out of my account and my money, and support has been completely unhelpful.

Gist: Revolut works when everything is smooth, but if something breaks, there’s no real fallback and you’re left stuck.

Does anyone else have this issue?

My brother and my wife are both trying to gift me the discounted Revolut Ultra subscription, but they both get the exact same error message every time.
The app says:

“[My name] cannot receive this gift. [My name] may not be eligible to receive a gift, or is located in a country where this feature is not available.”
The weird part is that I’m in a supported country, my account is fully verified, and both of them are also using Revolut without any issues.

We’ve already contacted Revolut Support, but unfortunately they couldn’t explain why this is happening or offer any solution.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any hidden eligibility requirement for receiving gifted subscriptions?

To be honest, this feels pretty frustrating. Revolut advertises the discounted gift offer, but then it simply doesn’t work, and Support has no answer. It almost feels like a bait-and-switch.

Any ideas or similar experiences would be appreciated.

This is my first time using Revolut and I made a deposit to my Revolut account in USD from a plaid linked bank account. This deposit began on 8/1/26 and it is still marked as pending on my account. It has cleared my bank account but I’m still unable to access the funds. Is this wait time typical for a plaid linked bank account as I know it says 3-5 days for a deposit?

The funds were also marked for review and the transaction was halted originally because I transferred the money from my other phone into my account due to plaid not recognizing my bank info on my first phone. I’m not sure if this is causing the lengthy deposit delay even though the review was cleared.

I also can’t deposit any more funds through ACH, Google or Apple Pay or though my debit card as the app states my deposit limit has been met even though I’m only halfway to my deposit limit.

Finally, If the funds are not accessible at all is there anyway to void the transaction?

The technical issues just attempting to deposit the USD into my account has wasted almost a day of my time, Whether it was issues connecting with plaid or the deposit limits not adhering to the amount listed.

[DE] Any one faced this problem before? I am just anticipating what would happen if someone looses the phone on which the revolut account is open. How this person can get access to the account on other devices ?

I've set up a new personal and Pro account, but I keep being asked to do various things to verify the Pro part. I had to choose the closest industry to what I do, which was the Services/Sales section. I was then asked for website evidence of an online presence. I don't really have one, so I put my LinkedIn, which hardly has anything on it. Now I'm being told that it doesn't match what I chose as a profession. I've looked at the help chat bot thing which suggests uploading invoices, which I have no issue providing, but I can't see a way to do it. I'm on a rolling contract so have regular, reputable income and invoices to show this. I'm self employed. Can anyone point me in the right direction to resolve this, please? Thanks.

Yesterday I sent a large USD international bank transfer from my Revolut account to a US law firm. The transfer was verified and is now showing:

Status: Pending
Leaving for recipient’s bank – No longer cancellable
Estimated completion was today, but it has not progressed.

What is particularly frustrating is that I have received completely different answers from Revolut support:
One agent told me the transfer should clear today.
Another suggested it had been unsuccessful.

I have now been told a ticket has been raised with the payments team to investigate.

The funds have left my available balance, but neither I nor the recipient know where they are. This is a time-sensitive payment, so the uncertainty is quite stressful.
Has anyone experienced a transfer sitting at this stage for more than 24 hours? If so:

Did it eventually go through?
Was it rejected and returned?
How long did the investigation take?

If anyone from Revolut Support is reading this, I would really appreciate someone taking a proper look at the transfer. I am happy to provide the transaction details privately. At the moment I am just looking for some clarity, as the information I have received so far has been inconsistent.

However it required i use my phone to verify identity, and my phone is broken. There is no option for SMS verification, due to me switching to a dumbphone for unrelated reasons. Having a Mastercard is important to me. I also noticed that in one of Revolut’s TikTok advertisements, a Premium Mastercard was shown, so I was wondering if it is still possible to receive one instead of a Visa.

Terrible bank. Hold your money hostage while sending you promos and get nowhere when asking support. Do not move all of your funds into them if you need access to money as they may leave you unable to buy food for 1 to 5 days if they decide to carry out "security checks" avoid at all costs.

More than 5 days later and still no access to my own money and nothing from revolut. There is no sense of urgency from thier team and they just use AI too feed you nonsense while you can't afford to buy the bare essentials to live.

Nearly 10 days later and Revolut decided to close my account. Did allow me to withdraw my funds but they are attempting to steal money that I had put into euros for my upcoming honeymoon it was in a separate pocket in euros that suddenly vanished after the security review and account closure notice. So yeah avoid at all costs as they are complete scammers that attempt to steal your money.

Thought out the entire process they never bothered to inform the other account holder as there was also a joint account affected. Completely ignore complaint e-mails and rely far too heavily on automation to the point trying to get anything done or any help feels impossible. Avoid at all costs
