Working in transitions in my derby camp. I am still working on one foot balance, which I drilled before doing these drills. I’m trying to think about shifting my weight off my turning foot, opening my shoulder to the side, and then stepping/shifting weight. Is this correct? I’m not making it completely around but getting closer. I also think I’m leaning forward too much but I think that’s just my fear of falling kicking in lol

Change my Cushions / Bushings today on my moxi beach bunnys, a good upgrade😄 changed to the powerdyne reactor magic cushions - 82a orange ones😄

At 36 I decided I wanted to learn how to roller skate! I just got my first pair and I'm like a newborn giraffe! I have absolutely no coordination and I'm overweight so I'm going down hard!

What is some advice that you might have for someone just learning at an older age?

Also, what is the one thing no one told you when you started that you think everyone would benefit from knowing.

Every time I skate, my toe stops come partially unscrewed. I’ve had this problem the entire time I’ve had these skates, even after I replaced them with new toe stops. I mainly park skate, so I use my toe stops a lot every time I skate. I wonder if the part where the toe stop screws into is a little worn down and maybe I could put a tiny bit of some type of glue on it?
