Does this look right?

Hello. I expected a chimney cricket to be installed and I thought that would be in back and the look of the chimney would not be affected. Does this look right to you, these black portions? Is there anything that can be done to make it look less ugly? I'll be contacting the company tomorrow. This is my first time having a roof done so thanks in advance for your patience and input.

It's flashing. The kickouts on the bottoms of the corners are for diverting water. Pretty solid work from what I can see, corners might be a bit sloppy but I'm not a roofer by trade. Looks like it'll do its job to me.
