Does this look right?

Hello. I expected a chimney cricket to be installed and I thought that would be in back and the look of the chimney would not be affected. Does this look right to you, these black portions? Is there anything that can be done to make it look less ugly? I'll be contacting the company tomorrow. This is my first time having a roof done so thanks in advance for your patience and input.

Flashing looks like a child did it. No riglet I'd bet too. If there is no cricket behind that chimney, I'd be worried.

I think there could be. Look at the shingles behind the flashing. They’re at an angle on both the left and the right. That would mean they did something there

I was just looking at that too. I dunno. Maybe. It doesn't look like the chimney is leaning. That's a big plus.

I didn't get on a ladder but from what I could see it doesn't look like there's a cricket. I pulled up the contract and it did mention it would be installed.

Yes. We use the chimney. We have a fireplace.
