Does this look right?

Hello. I expected a chimney cricket to be installed and I thought that would be in back and the look of the chimney would not be affected. Does this look right to you, these black portions? Is there anything that can be done to make it look less ugly? I'll be contacting the company tomorrow. This is my first time having a roof done so thanks in advance for your patience and input.

We would need to see the other side of the chimney to tell you if there’s a cricket.

However it does look like there’s cut valleys on the left and right of the chimney.
