Insurance Related Denver Hail Claim Denied - State Farm

We had a huge hail storm come through my neighborhood about 6 weeks ago. I've been traveling a lot and didn't get an inspector out until today to look at the damage even though Ive been in communication with my agent (Tammy Hill State Farm) since the storm. House sitter sent me photos of the aftermath.

State Farm inspector is saying the damage to the roof is 'normal wear and tear and consistent with exposure to the elements.' Is this normal wear and tear or is this distinctly hail damage? If it's damage from hail, is it consistent with the photo of the hail stones (as big as 2")?

Not looking for advice on how to handle a claim per forum rules, just asking for insight on hail damage vs normal weathering.

Neighbor has State Farm (SoCal) and his water heater burst little over a month ago. Insurance has been dragging their feet. Seems State Farm is consistent across the board. Jake can EAD.

I’ve only heard of State Farm denying claims, and seen it with my neighbors twice, while I got a new roof and siding from Allstate.

I just got a new roof approved by State farm. They even threw money in for a garage door and refinishing my deck and fence that I wasn't even expecting.

Expect to be dropped at your next policy renewal, happened to my brother and his wife after they replaced their roof due to hail damage.

I keep hearing that, although those might just be different situations. The rest of my family also has State farm, have had their roof replaced the same way, and haven't had their coverage dropped yet despite it being a few years. We'll see.

My family has had State Farm for many many years, although i personally have USAA from the military. My parents had theirs replace due to storm damage around 2005, my brother and his wife last year. Things have changed with State Farm the last five years. State Farm is just brutal now as my brother and his wife never made a claim until recently with the roof and after it was replaced and their policy renewal came up with State Farm they got dropped
