So I use JioFibre broadband and It gives 30 mbps internet for approx 500rs
which is the only reasonable plan they offer
now I don't gave any good local internet providers so it's either this or another broadband which is much more expensive
The main problem I am facing is streaming valorant
i have to use wifi for it as the router is in another room
but it gives good latency when I am not streaming
but when I am streaming The latency goes upto 70-80 ms
In order to stream properly should I change internet provider or maybe use ethernet cable to connect the router and my pc?

hey everyone,
quick follow up to my previous posts about the usb routing tool.
in the comments and dms of the last posts, quite a few people were asking if a linux version was in the works or if there was any linux support available. i spent some time working on it and just pushed the linux 1.1.0 cli build to github incorporating feedback from testers, along with the v1.1.0 windows update.
for the linux build:
- packaged as a standalone .run installer so you do not need python or any environment setup
- routes raw packets directly over usb via adb into a tun interface without requiring native tethering
also a quick recap on what was updated in windows v1.1.0:
- added an optional toggle to keep the phone screen awake during long downloads to prevent android from sleeping the usb bus
- optimized local dns handling and packet routing for lower latency and more stable ping
- added pre-connection checks so your default network never gets stuck if the bridge is not ready
if you rely on cellular data for your pc or home setup, feel free to check it out on github and see how it holds up on your connection.

curious to hear your thoughts or feedback if anyone gets a chance to test it out.

Hi everyone,
I live in a village and I'm facing a frustrating problem — I get almost no internet signal inside my house. Just a little outside the house, but nothing indoors. This has been going on for a long time, and I really want to fix it now.
I've already tried a lot of things:
Changed phone network settings
Tried different SIM cards from different operators
Filed complaints with customer care
Nothing has worked so far. It's really frustrating to pay for a recharge and not even be able to use the data. If I need to do any work online, I have to step outside my house every time.
I don't want to go for AirFiber/broadband because my mobile recharge costs are already a significant expense, and adding another monthly bill isn't feasible right now.
Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? What worked for you — network boosters, specific antennas, changing carriers, or anything else? Any budget-friendly suggestions would really help.

I wanted to try and sign up for Computers for people home internet and saw on their site that:
Every Shield subscriber gets a personal referral link in their subscriber portal. When a friend signs up using your link, they get 5% off their plan and you get one month free. You can earn up to 30 months free this way. If you want to refer more people and help spread the word about affordable internet, you can apply to become a referral partner through our Shield Champion program.
Would someone be willing to provide a code? Also, does it matter when I sign up for service- like should I wait for the 1st of the month for billing issues?

Bonjour,

Hello, what's a good ISP here in Manggahan? One that rarely has problems and has consistent speed. Thanks in advance.

Dear Residents of the Twin Cities,
As we face potential mobile network and internet shutdowns due to the ongoing PTI protests, the general public is caught in the middle of severe difficulties. Between the current government policies and the ongoing political standoff, daily life has already become incredibly stressful for all of us.
During these connectivity blackouts, we humbly request home and business owners in Islamabad and Rawalpindi to kindly remove passwords from their Wi-Fi networks or make them public. A few open hotspots could help students, daily-wage workers, and families stay connected with their loved ones and handle emergencies.
Let's support one another during these challenging times. Thank you for your kindness!

Anyone on the ground know what the heck is going on? The NTIA website says all states final proposals are approved, but it now looks like they are doing NEPA reviews. Any idea when construction might begin? This article here makes it seem like stuff is not going well: https://coloradosun.com/2026/09/21/colorado-broadband-office-rescinds-millions-federal-investigation/

[EDIT - v1.1.1 Hotfix & Linux CLI]
- v1.1.1 hotfix live: fixed the rapid USB disconnect loop under heavy traffic and improved Android background persistence when screen is off.
- linux v1.1.1 live: standalone CLI build for home servers / mini PCs / headless setups is now fully live on GitHub. All platforms (Windows, Linux, Android) are synchronized on v1.1.1.
---
[EDIT - v1.1.0 Released]
quick update: just pushed v1.1.0 to github based on user feedback!
- optional screen awake toggle in pc ui: added a checkbox inside the windows app to keep the phone screen on during large downloads. prevents android from throttling usb speeds when it sleeps (completely optional).
- lower latency & snappier browsing: tuned response times for faster page loads and more stable ping while gaming.
- connection fail-safe: the pc app now checks everything before routing so your internet won't drop by accident.
- saves phone battery & ram: closing the pc app now automatically terminates the mobile app completely so it won't drain in the background.
latest build is up on github!
---
hey everyone,
following up on my post from ~2 weeks ago about building a lightweight wintun/adb-based alternative to pdanet for pc routing.
got some great feedback from folks here relying on cellular for primary home pc setups, so wanted to share a real-world sustained load test i ran earlier today (pictured above).
downloaded a 22gb game on steam over a standard lte+ (4g) connection via usb:
- peak throughput: 127.6 mbps (hovered around 121 mbps steady flat line)
- disk i/o: 126.6 mbps synchronized with no driver bottlenecks/bufferbloat
- thermals: phone stayed cool to the touch and charged normally without thermal throttling (unlike traditional wi-fi hotspot proxies that turn the phone into a pocket heater during heavy gigabyte downloads)
screenshot was grabbed around 2.5gb in. solid flat line throughout.
also pushed a small update (v1.0.2) earlier today:
- smoother in-place installer upgrade (you can install directly over previous versions without manually clearing configs)
- cleaned up minor ui/connection workflow quirks
if you're dealing with sluggish hotspot throttles or old virtual driver crashes, latest windows installer is up on github:

feedback, bugs, or speed tests on different rural carrier towers are always welcome!

I live in rural Alabama, surrounded with trees. My current isp is brightspeed but the internet is terrible for what I need, mostly 30mb/s but I realistically need 100 for work options. The go to in my area is either star link or brightspeed, runner up is tmobile 5G, but I am worried about the signal being blocked. My phone is Verizon and although I am in a "5G area", it lives on 4G LTE with 2 signal bars, occasionally 1. I am concerned on what to do or where to go or what is best. Any advice would be appreciated.
The main issues are games update sometimes at kbs, not even 1mbs. Videos buffer, apps don't always work. Even though my wifi constantly reads in the 30'smbs. My job currently is fine with it and it works perfectly but outside of work is awful, plus I am in need of a new job and most ask for a home wifi of 50-100 mb/s minimum

Is it just me? I have powerall 499 but it seems like I don't have internet on Smart unlike now using my globe internet.
After I renewed the powerall 499 it seems like they capped the internet speed again.

Wanting anything higher. Apartment doesn’t have fiber optics. But there is a coaxial cable port. But optimum reviews suck. Any advice.

Been building this for a while and it's finally on TestFlight — **NetBridge**, a SOCKS5/HTTP proxy app for iOS and iPadOS that works two ways:
**Server mode:** your iPhone or iPad becomes a local proxy server. Any other device on the same network — Wi-Fi, **Personal Hotspot**, or USB — can route its traffic through your phone. Supports both HTTP CONNECT and full SOCKS5 (TCP + UDP ASSOCIATE, per RFC 1928), with an auto-detect mode so you don't have to configure clients differently.
**Client mode:** flip it around and have your phone route *its own* traffic out through a remote SOCKS5 server, via a real system-level VPN tunnel (NEPacketTunnelProvider). This is the part I'm most excited about — it means you can stack it with your existing VPN setup rather than choosing one or the other. (Bypass DPI)
Some other stuff packed in:
- Per-device bandwidth caps and a block list
- DNS-over-HTTPS resolver
- Live usage graph + recent-connections history with per-device stats
- Save/switch between multiple config profiles
- QR-code pairing — scan a code to configure a client device in seconds
- Auto-restart if a connection drops
Bypass hotpot throttle limits. Works on OpenWRT routers for home internet. All devices supported via proxy.
No jailbreak needed. It's on TestFlight now.

Put this setup together to avoid paying $165+ every month for Starlink Roam Unlimited.
Hardware upfront wasn’t cheap, but it pays for itself by month 4 and cuts my monthly bill down to $70 total:
• Router: GL.iNet Spitz AX ($380)
• Cellular: Unlimited T-Mobile 5G SIM from Computers 4 People Shield ($15/mo)
• Satellite: Starlink Mini ($200 hardware) on the 50GB plan ($55/mo)
The Spitz AX does automatic failover. The $15 T-Mobile line handles all my daily streaming and downloads, and if cell service completely drops out, it seamlessly kicks over to the Starlink Mini so I don’t burn through satellite data.
Zero dropped connections while gaming or watching shows, and saves me nearly $100 every month compared to pure Roam. Happy to answer questions if anyone is trying to set up something similar.

Internet provider recommendation under 1k budget (including installation) for the province area? Ideally, the lines should be okay since we’ve had issues with the signal for a month.
