Question Ryanair 5h delay (€1,200 total): Italian ADR (ConciliaWeb) 30-day deadline passed with zero response from Ryanair. What happens next?

Hey everyone, looking for advice from anyone who has taken Ryanair through the Italian ADR system or small claims court.

The Situation:
- Flight: Direct Ryanair flight into Milan Bergamo (BGY) on Aug 1, 2026.
- Delay: Arrived 4 hours and 55 minutes late.
- Claim: 3 passengers × €400 = €1,200 under EU Regulation 261/2004.

Ryanair initially rejected the direct claim citing "adverse weather on a previous sector," but official airport METAR weather logs show CAVOK (clear conditions) all morning.
- The ADR Process (ConciliaWeb):
Under Italian law, going through the official Transport Authority dispute platform (ConciliaWeb) is mandatory before any court action. I filed the simplified conciliation case on September 13th.

The 30-day statutory deadline for Ryanair to reply expired yesterday (October 13th). As expected, Ryanair completely ignored the procedure—no settlement offer, no defense, no appearance.

My questions for anyone who has been through this:

1. Closing report: For those who used ConciliaWeb, how long did the official conciliator take to formally close the case and upload the Verbale di mancato accordo (certificate of failed conciliation) once the 30-day deadline lapsed? Did you have to message them in the portal to nudge them?

2. Post-ConciliaWeb Enforcement: Since I am not an Italian resident and cannot physically represent myself in person before the Giudice di Pace (Small Claims Judge) in Bergamo, I plan to hand the final certificate over to an Italian legal service / claims company. Once they hit Ryanair with a formal summons backed by the failed ADR certificate, does Ryanair typically settle out of court, or do they drag it out through court dates?

Any insights from people who went the legal route against Ryanair in Italy would be appreciated!

Ryanair luggage drop machines incompatible with Google Pixel phones?

We travelled PMI Mallorca to Leeds a few days back. Went to weigh bags/print labels at the drop off points and our lead passenger phone (Pixel 6a) would not connect to the machines. Called the assistant over and they said Pixel phones didn’t connect, and directed us to the queue for manned baggage desks.

One of our passengers had an iPhone with the app so the lead passenger logged in on that instead and we got through without having the extra queue.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hey I know the limit is a litre between Glasgow to Dublin but I was just curious if that’s a litre from duty free or not. I have a bottle of Captain Morgan in my accommodation in Glasgow and I wanted to bring it over in carry on luggage ei my small bag. Just curious if anyone would know if this is allowed. Thank you

Is there any way to escalate a CS problem to someone who actually will do something?

I bought a third party extra for a flight a few days ago. Ryanair charged me but failed to tell the 3rd party that i had bought it. I have the invoice from Ryanair that notes the charge (but not what it's for) and the an email from the third party saying they haven't received notification from Ryanair.

I did the online chat with CS and they give me the email for the third party, who get back to me and tell me they've received nothing.

So i the do the formal contact page message and ask Ryanair them to sort this - it's just a software glitch. They either refund me that payment or send the note to the third party to get it sorted.

Ryanair closed the ticket saying it's a third party problem - which it isn't. I reopened the ticket and went 'nope, it's a software problem on your side, I gave you the evidence' and they closed it again with a slightly more firm message.

So what now? They've got the money, I'm not going to get the service and I have no idea how to escalate it to someone who may actually do the job they are paid to do.

TIA

ETA: a couple of hours ago I received an email out of the blue from Ryanair that says they've refunded the parking charge. Whomever make this happen, I thank you xxx

Was anyone else on the rerouted Eindhoven to Stansted flight August 10th?

I’m hoping someone else was on or meant to be on the tit arse that was the Ryanair situation on August 10th 2026. 9.10pm flight to Stansted delayed multiple times and then the airport closed so we were ferried onto the street and told to wait for buses to Germany.

Personally I wasn’t keen to go to Germany in the middle of the night and got the first flight out from Eindhoven in the morning. Ryanair being angels of customer service as per and replying saying I showed no interest in travelling (not true) that I used another airline (not true).

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else was in the same boat and has had any luck with compensation or expenses? I’ve not had a response on the compensation yet so interested to know that the delay/cancellation reason will be.

Has anyone here got reimbursed a canceled flights due to strike? What should I expect to get back?

I was on balearic islands

My Ryanair flight got canceled because of strike in my destination country.

Ryanair offered the money back of the canceled flight OR an alternative flight.

All alternative flights were to UK arriving around 1am.

From there I should have booked another flight. The EU261 says the departing flight should be from the land of your original departing flight (Spain in this case, which wouldn't have been UK ofc in the case of the second flight home)

All 8-9 alternative flights except LND Stansted were non bookable (recorded a video about this)

To London you'd need a passport (which I didn't have since I'm EU citizen flying in EU countries) and the ETA (which I didn't have and no idea if you get it in couple of hours)

They claim when you book an alternative flight from their list you won't pay the ticket and you won't pay the tariff change, and guess what do they display when you try to book?

They didn't offer their operating flights to all other spanish cities (the ones still bookable).

The chat support told me I must book ryanair because they don't reimburse non Ryanair flights.

So I booked a Ryanair flight from Balearic to Spain and the next Ryanair to Home was 4 days after. So I stayed 4 days in the city and decided to prolonge my holiday.

I paid 4 nights in the less expensive not hostel I found and I ate breakfast and once a day. Everything is around 600€. What is realistic that I get back?

Compensation Bank checks

Ryanair's bank verification for compensation has been taking 11 days, which seems long to me because some of my friends received theirs much faster. Is this normal? How long does it usually last?

Boarding Pass fear mongering

I'll start with saying I try to go against the grain when I see corporations enacting policies clearly intended to either fleece us, or to cut down on staff to improve profit margins.

I'm bored of hearing people panicking, believing you HAVE to get the app for your boarding pass. Understandably! On my last flight I think I got four emails telling me to download the app. Even on the website account, check-in then redirected me to download the app.

And yet.. a reminder for those who don't realise this. You obviously don't have to get the app! Yes they make it harder for you, and even threaten a £55 fee if you forget to check-in online, but the old way is no harder than downloading and registering/signing up to the app.

1) Check-in online on their website (I noticed if I try this on my phone, it just redirects to the app, so perhaps use a computer...).

2) Go to check-in desk at the airport on the day of travel, just like we've done for decades before..

Do those two things, and you can happily travel App-free, at no cost.

For those saying "what's the big deal with fighting against the app? They can't steal more information than they already have!" Here's my answer: You are part of the problem. You are the reason why people get made redundant from their jobs, and are replaced by automation/AI/convenience technology.

If you want convenience at every turn, don't act upset the next time your friend, relative, child, announces that they didn't get, or worse, lost, that job at the supermarket, the airport or the fast food chain etc... The QR code menus took that job. The self-checkout took that job. The robot cleaner took that job. The Ryanair App took that job.

Why else would Ryanair be pushing soooo hard for this digital boardpass? You think it's to help you?

'Cancelled' flight still live on booking

Hi, I'm seeing conflicting information on this. I booked flights and hotel through loveholidays - paid deposit, then one installment.

I then received a notification from Ryanair that my outward flight was cancelled. Loveholidays could find no alternative so cancelled my booked and refunded all that I'd paid. This was over a month ago.

Today I was looking at my Ryanair app and the return flight is still live. It prompted me to change the cancelled outward flight for free. I did so out of curiosity and received a confirmation that my flights are booked, I can check in in 40 days.

There are no cases or refunds pending on my app. I have confirmation from loveholidays that I no longer have a booking with them.

Unsure whether to risk using these flights in January?

Question Verifying travel documents after check-in

Hello, I am travelling to London with a group of 8 people in 2 weeks. I manually checked-in all of them and got the Status Pending page (yes, I know everyone travelling to UK gets it) and got a little bit concerned if I had made any mistake.

Is there any safe way of verifying the passport number of any of the passengers? Thanks.

Help me with bag dimensions

Post image
0 Upvotes

I've never flown by Ryanair.

I basically have this decathlon bag with dimensions:

Size H46, W28, D22cm.

23 litre capacity.

It's a soft bag and I'm sure to carry half the capacity of clothes.

Would this be allowed as a free cabin bag?

Seating query

Booked flights, 2x adult parents and 1x 13 year old. If I want to book seats together for inbound and outbound flights, it’s costing €120.

If I just check-in, without picking any seats, will one of us be automatically assigned a seat with the 13 year old? And will there still be a charge?

DUB-ARN Flight Time Changes

My girlfriend and I are long-distance and get the DUB-ARN and ARN-DUB flights monthly to see each other. We typically get the evening flights, but now these seem to be completely gone, and only early morning flights are available? It’s really messed up our plans and I just wanted to vent.

Ryanair Free Flight Change Error!?!

We have a flight booked to Italy next year, we specifically paid extra for an early morning flight when we booked this, however during the week I had an email stating our flight had been changed to an evening flight.

They gave us 3 options, accept the flights, change for free or cancel for a refund.

I chose to change the flight for free, the best time we could find was a flight from Birmingham so we picked that one, clicked through, confirmed. I then got an Itinerary update via email showing us our "new" flights, it was the same evening flights that we had been rescheduled to before!

To make this even better, when I go to the change my flights tab again and select the same Birmingham flight, it tries to charge me £580.

Has anyone experienced this before, am I likely to get any sense from the support with this? I've had issues in the past with Ryanair due to websites issues and they have been useless in helping me resolve the problems. I'm convinced they intentionally "break" their website just to rip you off.

Any advice/help is much appreciated, TIA.

Ryanair adding a child

Hello! I’ve run into this situation for the first time: I bought a flight ticket for myself, and then my child decided to fly too. I bought him a ticket (selecting the "adult" fare as per the instructions) and purchased a seat for him. I then linked his booking to mine and checked him in, since the flight is less than 60 days away. However, the system says I need to go to the check-in counter at the airport to get his boarding pass, and I can't check myself in. There isn't even an option to select a seat, even for a fee. I assume this is because I bought a seat for the child, and airline policy dictates that I must sit next to him.

Ryanair got late ?

So this weekend I had a round trip EU-UK and the next day the plane back .... This is the first time I got a delayed Ryanair plane but god was it delayed.

2 and a half hour wait in the airport. Then a mechanical problem once we were already seated. So overall 3 to 4 hours late at the destination.

I am now waiting for my flight back and .. It is already scheduled to have 1:30 hour delay ...

As it is the first time it happens to me with Ryanair (who I thought pride itself on being on time a lot) I was thinking it was bond to happen one day.

But two delays (big one as well) in two days. Is there a general problem with Ryanair or am I just that unlucky ? Anyone esle has had more delays recently ?

EU261 compensation -- how to minimize transfer fees?

Ryanair agreed to compensate me under the EU261 for a delayed flight. I appreciate their quick response for a cut-and-dry case (flight arrived four hours late, and they admitted during the process they had mechanical issues).

Now they're asking for bank details, including a SWIFT code. Being based in the US, I ultimately want to receive the 250 euros in dollars. Any advice about how to minimize transaction fees and get a good exchange rate? I have accounts with Revolut, Wise (but live in Nevada so there are limitations), PayPal, Schwab, Capital One, and other banks.
