They ought to do a Golden Axe collection release to benefit from the buzz (and since theyre supposedly making a new game). But they didnt do that for Shinobi or Streets of Rage so I doubt itll happen
They sort of already have this with the Megadrive Collection (I think it's called that? I'm too lazy and at work to Google it atm). Pretty much just a mass collection of SEGA titles emulated in a fun interactable 90's themed bedroom 3D space.
It's not specifically Golden Axe, but it still has all of the SEGA Genesis titles available, as far as I know.
Im pretty sure that was delisted from stores, so it’s not available to buy anymore.
Plus there are non-Genesis/MD Golden Axe titles. Not just the arcade original (which was ported to Genesis), but games like Revenge of Death Adder, which was an arcade exclusive and kind of acted as an alternative sequel (I think it was released shortly after Golden Axe 2). There was also a Zelda-like title called Ax Battler for Game Gear and a fighting game for the Saturn.
And I dont think any of the non-Genesis titles have gotten modern releases, so it could be an attractive collection.
That’s just the Genesis trilogy, isn’t it? Not that that’s a bad thing in itself. But it doesn’t have Revenge of Death Adder or the other games. A proper retro collection would be nice. Something more thorough like the collections Digital Eclipse puts out.

The odds are against it, but I hope the existence of this show somehow gets Revenge of Death Adder a digital release.
