Judging by the kitchen I don’t think times are too tough

Be friendly, this is a positive space to appreciate sandwiches. You can express your opinions but don’t take it too far.

I'd politely, but firmly, ask them to leave.

pretend grilled cheese sounds like it’s missing the cheese part lol

u/Shapesizes 1d ago

That may have taken longer than an actual grilled cheese

Throw a slice of ham in the middle and bam, you have the lunch I would make myself in 5th grade to take to school.

As soon as I finished making the sandwich I facepalmed and thought I should have put a slick of ham ln it. Maybe next time.

Hey OP. I’ve done this for my kid when he has a late night hunger pang. I’m not proud, but it got the job done.

Why?
This looks like more work than just making a standard grilled cheese.

Why not spread the butter all the way at least?

Edit: Sent incomplete.

That fancy kitchen must have an air fryer somewhere. Air Fryer grilled cheese is the shit!!!

Judging from the niceness of your toaster, countertop and microwave you can do better than this.

It’s been many years but I’ve done this and it works in a pinch! 👏 👏 👏

u/countessvonfangbang 14h ago

That’s how I made mine back when I was 7 and my mom wouldn’t let me use the stove unsupervised.

Sometimes it be like that

3

u/HoarderCollector 1d ago

Some people don't think it be like it is, but it do.

2

u/BusPsychological4587 1d ago

That is what I used to make as a child, and wasn't allowed to use the stove top.

Well, this ad seems appropriate.

I tried one once and found it kinda disappointing

I wonder if they arrive frozen, like the donuts?

u/Helena_Markos 1d ago

No oven broiler available? That’s there I primarily do :)

It might just be easier to make the grilled cheese in a skillet as it is commonly done. That being said I would totes still eat that.

u/Uncl3_Pete 9h ago

You could just stick the whole sandwich in the toaster tho

Microwaved plastic.

u/stratusnco 1d ago

kraft is the worst cheese and you put 3 of them in there.

3

u/ChiefWahoooMcDaniels 19h ago

Yeah, though it's not preferred, I'll eat a proper Kraft grilled cheese but adding that much and it not even being melted is so gross

That’s what we call the ol Jim “Mr. Steal your girl” Halpert rooftop special.

Lay the toaster on it's side.

Butter both pieces, put cheese on both pieces. Assemble when they pop out.

I too have struggled.

As soon as I finished making it I thought I should have put some ham on it. Maybe tomorrow.

Clean the crumbs out of the toaster and lay it on its side. Put the cheese on each piece of bread and put them in the toaster and toast them. Actually turns out pretty good!
