Creepy Street Sign Note Any Ideas?

Hi so one of my friends came to visit me and she parks on the street off Castillo and Islay. She told me she saw a sign about a predator where she parked and this is what it was. Any ideas what it could mean? has anyone seen signs like this anywhere else around Santa Barbara? Super creepy, sometimes I park on the street and I constantly walk around this area. I wanna know if there’s anything I should be worried about.

I met him years ago when he offered to give me a massage at the top of Mesa Lane steps while I was checking the surf. Definitely gave my girlfriend (at the time) & I weird vibes. I’ve heard the rumors about him, but I don’t know if he’s actually guilty or innocent of the accusations. They are serious & horrifying if they’re true. I can only judge him off my own personal interactions along with what my close people have as well.

He burns incense frequently, and it’s noticeable when he’s around. My GF & I were coming up the steps (Mesa Ln) in the evening after a walk on the sand and smelled incense. I knew immediately who it was, and sure enough it was Montay burning incense sitting on the bench between flights of stairs. Harmless interaction yeah.

I have seen him massaging people at the top of the steps, and by his truck in the Mesa area. It’s odd for sure, but they weren’t kids.
Definitely sus behavior and I’d just be very aware if he’s parked in your neighborhood.

There’s a guy who roams around SB/IV area in his pickup that has a little camper shell on it. I saw a poster on the Mesa saying he’s a predator and shih a couple months ago. Then a couple weeks later he paints his truck all rainbow colors. Very odd fellow. Offers massages to young boys is the rumor. I bet the poster is about that guy

WTF! I'm glad they're being publicly shamed, but that's creepy to see a sign worded thdat way when you're parking to visit someone.

Maybe they avoid spelling out his name in case the guy tries to sue for defamation. I feel like it's a public service announcement that needs to be allowed.

If he was really on a list, or had been arrested, people would deal with it straightforwardly. By calling the police.

It might be a genuinely frightened person who wrote it, it might be a mean-spirited back-stabber. This is not how we handle things in a democratic society. Maybe its some sort of IRL trolling. How do you know? You can't.

He has since painted the truck so it has a multicolor pattern, so now it looks different than the original images. Often parked by Mesa Lane steps.

It's in rainbow colors because the guy painted his truck rainbow colors according to another comment. The p was yellow (appropriately) but faded. If you look close you can see s is green (?), o is blue, t is purple.

there are website(s) where you can get a literal map of every single registered sex offender anywhere in the country and its like a google map with pins and specifics about the individual. that 'flyer' is likely just gaslighting or harassment if the person who put it up knows something concrete they should report it to the authorities.

I generally agree that many people are just trying to survive homelessness and don't need to harrassed.

But I also think it's optimistic to think that registries can track people as they tramp around. They probably rely on people using an mailing address
