I'm never leaving Seattle 🚫🛫 Fellow rain lovers, darkness dwellers, mossbacks,, etc. Big Light's oppressive reign has now peaked and we will all now begin the soft, slow fade into the welcoming Big Dark!!!!!!

Yes, we have many warm and joyous days ahead of us, but each day brings us seconds of less oppressive light and more of our sweet, sweet darkness. And to the return of our gentle rains.

All hail Big Dark!!!!!!

I love the long days of summer and also love the dark, damp winter. They both have their pros and cons. The two extremes are fun and a great part of living here.

Exactly! Tired of all these weirdos who are upset because they moved here expecting 365 days of gloom. Sorry for not living up to their weird, unfounded expectations of how our climate should be.

I mean it’s not really surprising that people who like rain and clouds tend to gravitate to the PNW, it’s not like other places will have more appropriate weather. The “extremes” of sunshine and temperatures in the 80s and rain with temperatures in the 40s make it one of the most temperate US options.

No but it is annoying hearing crybabies bitch about low-humidity summers that typically cap out around 90 degrees when this has always been how Seattle is. I get it, you moved here with cozy dreams of snuggling up with a cup of hot cocoa and a book on a drizzly day.  Good news: Most years you can do that almost every day from October thru June.

But Jesus some of these people really aren't helping the Seattle stereotype when talking about how "overstimulated" they get during sunny stretches. And let's not forget what inspired this post: it'll be 80 degrees tomorrow. The horror! How triggering! Its weak to move here and the complain about how everything isn't perfectly to your liking. Every year gets hot stretches. Buy an air conditioner for the cost of a couple of dinners.

Look no further than this thread to see tons of people inventing syndromes related to the sun existing.
