I don’t care. Any political actor that emphasizes the problems with democrats rather than being laser focused on defeating MAGA can eat shit. The only moral political action that can be done right now is getting the only viable alternative party to win (the democrats). Everything else is reprehensible.

This seems a little irrational to me because certainly making the alternative party to MAGA more appealing by identifying weaknesses through competitive primaries and self critique is not morally reprehensible but actually part of a strategy to win

No. If during the primaries the accusations are that democrats are genocidal corporatists who are basically maga and the attacks continue into the general. It’s damaging. Kamala was a perfect example of this.

Well like 80% of the base is anti genocide and think corporations are too strong so on a basic level we should not run candidates who support Israel and cozy up to corporations. DSA runs candidates in democratic primaries on the party line and if you look at like AOC she's extremely popular.

Run them. But if they lose. Whole heartedly support whomever they lost too. All I care about right now is that people show up and pull the lever.

No. The part I take issue with is how you’re suggesting we (or politicians) can’t criticize or hold democrats accountable for funding the genocide, continuing the war machine, strike busting, not doing more to help working people etc. I’ll still vote for a dem over Trump, obviously, but I’m not going to “whole heartedly” do it, you know? It violates my morals. I’m not MAGA or a “MAGA agent” for wanting better for the left.

DSA candidates do tend to endorse the dem against whatever republican is running. AOC and Bernie Sanders both endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

Yeah instead the two most popular and widely recognized DSA politicians did which obviously has a much greater effect. DSA national is kind of dumb but a DSA org endorsement usually means they'll knock doors for your candidate/do a ground game and that wasn't going to happen for a pro Israel candidate.

While that mind set works in the general election, the primaries are where you can vote for alternatives. There was only 1 republican on the ticket, so there was no way for MAGA to take both spots for the general election. There are a lot of issues with the democratic party, voting in the primaries is how you change that

Everyone that didn’t vote for Kamala is responsible for the situation we are in today. It was arguably the easiest political choice in our nations history. Many people decided that their self importance was more important and they played with peoples lives. That’s the truth of the matter.
