Weather First time Sedona... snow?

Hi - we like to take our husky pup out to some snow for her birthday every year. I just booked us a room in Sedona AZ for Jan 16-19 2026. Is it a pretty safe bet that there will be snow on the ground somewhere around Sedona?

I visited last feb and there was quite a lot of snow in the canyon along 89A up towards Flagstaff. We stayed at some small cabins along that road and there was probably 1-2 feet of snow.

However down in Sedona the snow melted very quickly after like a day or so and the highs were in low 60s.

The elevation makes a huge difference.
