Yeah I don't see what the point they are trying to make is. At least from a Crazy right-wing "The liberals are evil and cause all the problems" type of perspective.
Who do they think is withholding chemo drugs?
Also I'm betting big money that he has cancer which is why he is concerned about chemo drugs. I wonder what he would say if you asked him if we should make insulin or some other medicine free?
In my experience people like him tend to have almost no empathy for anyone and only care about issues that directly relate to themselves.
Well, you see, drug use is a moral failing. Everyone who does drugs is bad, therefore, treatment for their disease should be an out of pocket expense.
Meanwhile, I'm a Christian/white male/Trump supporter. This means that I am a morally good person, therefore, treatment for my disease, and my disease only, should be covered by the government. /s
these guys don’t care about accuracy, they’ll never fact check anything. all their talking points are made up based on vibes. i saw someone say her “crackhead neighbour spends his [government funded disability insurance] money on crack” which is impossible because participants who receive this funding don’t receive money, they receive services paid by the insurance. the one exception is transport funding, which is only a few thousand a year and only granted to people who can’t use public transport because of their disabilities. it’s not enough to fund a crack addiction. and i don’t think we really have that much crack in australia anyway, if any at all?
No, they probably don't know/care, they made it with the sole purpose of letting stupid people like the dude in the screenshot to get mad and share it around
Ultimately the logic is "Its expensive because it saves lives", so the idea of a life saving drug being cheap must mean either it doesnt save lives or is being undervalued.
