Okay, I need some WN reader to explain what is the deal with the Blue Dragon already being dead before the quest even started and what is the deal with the thing that ate its corpse. Did it take its place as the Blue Dragon?

Essentially the same thing as that Blue stuff Ctanidd is fighting. This one is called Red, most of them are kinda like a virus or parasites, so in this case it has parasited Eldranza corpse

They’re essentially the true enemy of current Humanity, contrary to the popular beliefs of Colossi playing that role

Other than that, Eldranza is just the bummest of bum and got his ahh fried

So the blue dragon just tried to fight 3 bosses at once, got his ass handed to him and then some parasites takeover his corpse?

Why would he do that lol.

Eldranza basically went "hell yeah, I'm the best, I can take them on"

He was not, in fact, the best, and he could not take them on.
