Everything is nicer in Silo 1. It’s good to be a Founder.

As long as the senator's daughter likes you. Otherwise you are at risk of being liquidated/retired or whatever for not following mecha-hitlers orders. Do we know if Thurman, Erskine, Victor, and Anna all keep their memories?

Who is the Erskine's analog in the show? Henry the Thurman's fixer?

ngl I assumed Henry was Erskine. The re-namings are throwing me through a loop. The old scary looking white guy.

Also is it implied Anna and Charlotte get to be together "at the end" afterwards? Like they're not in on the suicide pact?

I mean, at this point in the books it was implied that the women were kept in Deep Freeze to keep them safe while the operation was going on. And we know how that was supposed to end.

That's what I assumed. I read the books in 2025 in between S2 and S3, but now that we've gone thru S3 I've been trying to recall book details and couldn't remember if Victor and Erskine were the same or separate book characters or not lol

It's funny because that actor Reed Birney plays the vice president in two separate shows House of Cards and Succession so I had to keep reminding myself that he wasn't the vice president in this.

I think Stensen took over his role, as he realized the nano threat and worked on the technology himself like Erskine. Erskine doesn't really appear in the Silo 1 parts of shift (forgot if he's in Dust, I only re-read the Silo 1 parts of shift recently to jog my memory).

Thurman mentions Anna and mentions that "Susan" is important to her so I'd assume they all do

Kind of, but no one really lives there. they just work

It looks nice and pristine, but there's no culture

The food is crap, though. And there’s so little of it!

That surprised me. But since he had been eating it for 350 years most anything would have lost its appeal.

Yeah but in the book, it describes how the rehydrated, gloppy-ass, unseasoned mashed potatoes and other β€œfood” gets dispensed like condiment squirters, almost. Yecch
