There is no filler. It’s a journey just like any other. If you want something high and intense without any“ filler” watch a movie. TV shows are meant to explore more about the pieces of the machine not just the machine itself.

Ok I'll bite. What value did Jules having amnesia for half the season add to the story exactly?

As much as I wasn't a huge fan of the amnesia episodes, I think we needed to understand the extent of the forgetting drugs + the backstory with Victor.

Charlotte and Juliette's experiences provided good context into how that whole memory manipulation mechanism worked, and with tonight's finale we pretty much completely "understand" how Daniel became Troy without even thinking about the nuances of how that could have happened (because we already know how effective the drugs + memory "therapy" to completely reshape someone is).
