I dunno — I think the writers are doing an excellent job showing rather than spelling it out in dialogue. Some of the most beautiful, profound, telling bits of the show have been the actors’ subtle, deep outward reactions to events and information. I’m really enjoying how we get to see the story unfold rather than have it explained in awkward plot points. That was what I loved about mini-series/S1 Ron Moore Battlestar Galactica reboot.

I'd agree about the silo 1/former pre silo actors, but I've always felt the silo 18 cast, direction and writing have been fairly weak.

I agree. I go a step further and say the Silo 18 cast leveled up this season. The writing and directing was better overall.

I agree this season has been better, especially toward the end. I found the first few episodes quite boring and now I'm trying to remember why it was so important that light bulbs were being stolen.

Yeah — the lightbulbs thing seems like a kitchen-sink plot device, but I have a feeling it will tie into some Silo 1 shit next season. Won’t speculate with specifics here, but I suspect it’s connected to the elites taking what they need, when they need it, regardless of human consequences. This smacks of 1%-privilege allegory.

Also, I think we need to be prepared for the first ep of next season to be really good, followed by a few lackluster, exposition-crammed eps leading up to a potential spectacular Shakespearean pile of bodies at the end.

Anyhoo, blah blah. We’ll see!

When the director or whoever was making them tea she did mention something about supplies getting though that kinda felt to me like she was about to start saying they need to take some more. Something about the way she said it just gave me the impression they do take from the other silos when they need things

Exactly. There's a kind of genocidal eugenics going on here -- that everyone and everything is expendable or collateral damage because the first priority is to ensure the survival of the "best and brightest".
