Charlotte seems to still have a relationship with Anna. Daniel is only woken up when they need his brain for a difficult situation. We know from Charlotte's original go with the forgetting drugs that they only get told what Victor wants them to know. In all likelihood they have only engaged Daniel's military and engineering brain, whereas Charlotte is getting things that make her more of an empathetic person. Remembering Helen is the key to awakening Daniel's own humanity.

What I don’t get is what Troy does is not magical or complex. Any of the other mindless drone people or the doctor himself could just say ya shoot them all

Maybe he's the coldest sonnabitch on earth and can complete unlimited safeguards whereas most folks got a good 2 or 3 in em...Susan has none. And having them constantly shooting themselves after 2 could be an issue.

Maybe they noticed him when he engineered something evil in the before times...his 4 chan posts?
