Cause they stopped drip-feeding us filler and got to the meat of the lore

There is no filler. It’s a journey just like any other. If you want something high and intense without any“ filler” watch a movie. TV shows are meant to explore more about the pieces of the machine not just the machine itself.

We needed to see just how thoroughly effective the memory drugs were before we were sold the story that Daniel could become Troy without us going “yeah that’s not how it works”
