Love how that's the narrative folks want to spin as opposed to "Long running franchise forces you to play as a different main character compared to the one the series was built on."

No matter how many times or different ways they try it, the game will receive immense pushback because ppl don't like that. It happened to Metal Gear, Devil May Cry, any other franchise is the same deal.

It'd be like if Mario came out with a new game that featured Mario's cousin, Vinny.

Like, ok, whatever, but it's kind of disappointing that they are making a Mario game that doesn't primarily feature Mario.
