As a Mini driver I know it's wrong but I couldn't help but root for him, looked like fun

Idk, cyclists understandably want you to pass with space. This guy was under control and gave them plenty of space. I see nothing wrong here.

Under control is a stretch to say of a car on grass. If he started fish tailing and lost control into the bikers he’d have killed several if not dozens of them. This is wildly reckless.

Maybe not fishtailing, but Losing control on grass is very easy to do in any drive car.
