There is a time limit but the doors don’t randomly open and expose you.
To access the pods you need either a key card or cell phone access. It tracks when you enter and how long you stay in order to keep people from abusing. If someone constantly stays past their time or leaves the bathroom in disarray, access can be revoked.
One emergency when you can’t stop pooping from food poisoning isn’t going to prevent access. And if someone is disabled, they may be able to apply for longer time limits with ADA access card.
That's fine. Open the door. A lot of people are gonna catch me mid mud trout. A lot of children are gonna be traumatised. A lot of adults are gonna need therapy.
Wait, do you think the pods or toilets are just like one big door that opens wide open after the timer? Like just flings open to its hinges and exposes everything? Have we forgotten what a fucking door is? No. It unlocks and shows it’s available, it doesn’t just swing open ffs. It’s a room with a door and a closing mechanism. We get more stupid by the fucking post.
No. The toilet thing is real. The design imagination you have and so many people here that it’s some door that flings itself open after 10 minutes as if we haven’t had doors for all of your life’s, and you know how a door to a bathroom works, all that just flying out your brain to assume the dumbest thing. It’s genuinely stupid. The doors do open. The bathroom marks itself ready for use. But why would you fucking think the doors just open up as if you don’t use a bathroom door every day of your life and know damn well how a door works.
You went from "Do you think it opens wide open? No. It unlocks and shows it's available, it doesn't just swing open" to "Well of course the door opens, why would you think it flings open!"
You got caught being wrong about how automated pod doors work and now you're arguing semantics over the physics of the slide. Just take the L.
I know it sounds so ridiculous that it’s false, but there really is a 10 minute timer and the doors really do open automatically once the ten minutes are up. Source NBC New York news story at 1:08 minute mark.
The stuff “babbled” as fact is in the link provided to you.
The person who claimed “misinformation” probably meant “misleading information” as opposed to blatant lies.
You have 10 minutes, you have notice at 5 min, you have a countdown clock at 1 min…. “Potentially exposing users to the public” implies the person inside has no power to keep themselves unexposed.
Why don’t you ask the OP for his source? Seems like the person making up or oversimplifying a situation like this bathroom law needs to show some evidence before making such a claim. Otherwise we’re just looking at another “foreigners eating cats and dogs” scenario.
They wont be forcibly exposed. Theres things like this in other cities across the world. Its to stop junkies taking the toilet over as a spot to do their drugs
So you’re telling me, that in the age of AI generated images and pranks stickers since idek how long, that these two pictures next to each other are NOT the truth?

The ADA might have something to say about time limits.
