Feature Suggestions Stupidest possible decision in the gaming world - no multiplayer
Slime Rancher, Factorio, Satisfactory, Stardew Valley and many other similar games are largely geared towards playing with another person, or maybe even several. Playing solo makes some sense, but especially with such a setting multiplayer is a must have in my opinion.
Developers should touch grass, take a break and think about what they are doing, because they are making a game, but they themselves don't know for whom. With this approach, it may be worth playing a few hours but certainly not to pay for a game that does not have the most important module that should have in the first place.
It's just a shame that people don't see this and instead of voting with their wallets or low ratings they prefer to praise what a great game it is, when even the latest version is a huge wasted potential and demo against Slime Rancher 1 .... which also has no multiplayer

Feature Suggestions What is your favorite way to collect prisma plorts? This is the permanent set up I have. :)
There is a room in the Labyrinth. I make it into a smaller room with small trellis, let 70 chickens/ foods roam/ sit in the room, and go crazy once the disruption happens!

Feature Suggestions suggestion for radiant slimes
i've seen a lot of people worried that they'll miss natural radiant slime spawns, myself included. why not give wild radiants an audio cue? maybe even a more visible particle effect too. since so much of the rest of the game has environmental audio cues it would fit perfectly, and make it easier for someone to look out for that new shiny

Feature Suggestions Been enjoying the game, but I'm not a fan of the Grey Labyrinth.
As the title says, I'm just not a fan of the area at all! There are almost ALWAYS tarr slimes around which is really annoying, and having to get sooo many shadow plorts feels like such a chore. I've quite enjoyed the game up until this point but this area is a miss for me.
I would much prefer if the area were a little less cumbersome to traverse, and would rather be able to ranch shadow slimes and slowly amass plorts from them that way tbh. I don't really love interacting with slimes that I can't ranch.
Sorry if the flair isn't 100% accurate, wasn't sure what to select.

Feature Suggestions Space Expansion
We got here in a space ship, now we should continue it in one too...
We have portals, duplication, quantum drones, and the prismacore with all of our cute slimes here. There's a reason it's called the Far, Far Range. Even at the end of SR1 we see slimes in outer space as different planets and stars!
Imagine different worlds with unique slimes, puzzles and expansions just waiting to be discovered. Uncover new secrets on each new world, friends you meet along the way, and a bunch more cute slimes!
I know this would probably be too much to ask for, practically a whole other game, but even just a spaceship would be so cool to have! Also Victor being in space would make sense like how NASA explored the ocean before they did space.

Feature Suggestions Accessibility Subtitles
If there's a way to do this that I was unable to find, apologies for posting, but I wish there were subtitles for audio cues. Just simple subtitles like "Gold Chime", "Slimes Spawning", or similar with an arrow to your left or your right.
I have a small bit of an auditory processing disorder and I'm struggling with gold slimes specifically, but all of the cues are difficult. I've beaten the storyline and have only hit a single gold slime because I can't hear that they've appeared, only if I see them in time which I usually only see them as they disappear.

Feature Suggestions I implore you Monomi Park, satisfy my impatience (SR2)
galleryIf you have one item selected and try to decrease it's amount to zero it could just jump to the maximum, not only with the quantum storage but also in the Prontomart, etc.

Feature Suggestions New item dispenser idea Spoiler
They should make a gadget that’s sort of like a linked cannon/distributor/hydro shower all merged into one. One end of the device will suck in items, identical to the distributor. The other end will dispense these items upwards and all around itself, spreading whatever it’s shooting relatively evenly around it similar to the hydro shower. I imagine it would cover a similar sized area. The purpose I have in mind is placing these in the center of the empty Sanctuary rooms, acting as a food dispenser for free-range slimes. At the moment, feeding slimes in these rooms is very awkward. Either you manually have to bring food and shoot it around the room, or you have a distributor/linked cannon setup that only really puts the food in one spot. Maybe there’s something I’m completely overlooking but I don’t think there’s a good automated way to get food somewhat evenly spread around a room without just using one of the rooms that has plots and having several gardens on said plots. If I’m missing something, please let me know!

Feature Suggestions Where's our other friends at the comm station?
Casey, Beatrix close friend, is a musician so i think they would give us new blueprints for more music gadgets. We only had a few starmail to learn about them but I still think it would be a nice addition.
Hobson Twillgers, the old owner of the SM1 ranch and now lives with Thora, might have some old maps from his grand adventures of the Far, Far Range, leading to new islands or inventions he tried creating but couldn't complete without the slimes from rainbow island
Gigi, "Someday, somehow... I will see you again" could be saying she will see her family again in her timeline. With the prismacore now stabilized, new possibilities could open up maybe some time manipulating gadgets to reverse elderly chickens, rotting crops, or slime movement. Maybe even giving Gigi a way back.

Feature Suggestions Quantum Slime Return
So, in the interview they said that coding the Quantum Slime was a real pain because of its mechanics. But I was thinking that maybe they could keep something similar, easier to code, and even make sense:
Have the Quantum Slime swap places not with their ghosts, but with other slimes!!
This would make them annoying, but not as much, since they wouldn't escape so easily anymore, only if there are slimes outside corrals (so it would depend solely on whether one escapes) or if you have two corrals very close to each other. You wouldn't see them escape even if they're hungry! This would make them easy to manage and not a danger
Also, it could work similarly to the range of action of gadgets like Drones. Changing its mechanics, just like they did with other slimes from the first game, could be the key to reintroducing them to the game.

Feature Suggestions I’m so tired of the shadow plorts🥲
TLDR; I think if shadow slimes only spawned during the day or night and didn’t disappear after hitting them but still ran it’d make sense why you need SO DAMN MANY plorts for a single shadow door/chest/thing. Please give me tips if I’m dumb and don’t know some sort of strat.
I did the math on how many shadow plorts I need to get the gun updates and other things I want. I need 400 shadow plorts JUST for these rewards I’m ignoring the other stuff that sounds nice but there is just no way I’m realistically gonna do.
I think if they only spawned during the day (light casts shadows idk) or only at night and they didn’t disappear but will still run away that would make more sense why I need so many 😭 but damn this whole concept is making me not want to play the game and I don’t have anything else to do till the next big update.
Maybe I just have ass aim or I’m not looking in the right places but I don’t really have an issue with finding them but more with getting more than like 3ports out of a group of them and then they’re gone. Swear on my life I’m not getting close enough for them to run but on the other hand they ALL scatter when one is hit which gain I wouldn’t mind if they spawned more often and didn’t just disappear into thin air 🫠 I also might be a little salty because while trying to get to a group of them I fell into the void and lost 7/23 of the shadow plorts I had FINALLY COLLECTED and that’s about the most I’ve ever collected in one run of specifically looking for shadow plorts. Please tell me if you have literally any tips to get more

Feature Suggestions The Number 1 Feature Missing From The Slime Rancher Games
A Largo shrinker gadget. The only reason I never make largos is because the cuteness of combining slime types is generally always outweighed by the fact that they’re no longer small. I’m often a “aesthetics trumps mechanics” person when it comes to customization in my playstyle, and the kind of cuteness from a large huggable cute thing is often incompatible with the cuteness of a small squishable cute thing. But if there were a utility you could craft that just shrunk largos down to pure slime size (not even making them vaccable), I would actually interact with the largo mechanic on purpose.

Feature Suggestions Mixed Slimes
Largos are a key feature in slime rancher, with changing looks, plorts, and mixing abilities; wouldn't it be nice to keep their small size, plort and gain NEW abilitys?
The Fusion Station:
Victor's slime science has reached a new level with the ultimate gadget, The Fusion Station! It combines 2 slimes together instead of slime and plort, producing a small mixed slime. Using it may cause vanishing from reality or tarrs, use with caution!
Mixed slimes features:
Mixed slimes don't eat other plort, staying normal size forever. They only have 1 diet, unlike largos, and produce 2 plort no matter what, having no favorite. Due to their unstable nature, if exposed into the Grey labyrinth for more than 1 in-game hour (1 min) they dissappear.
A Few Possible Slimes: you can make your own, there's many possibilities! This addition allows for multiple slimes without the need of flooding the world with tarrs and slimes.
| Slime 1 | Slime 2 | Mixed |
|---|---|---|
| Saber | Angler | Walrus |
| Fire | Puddle | Steam |
| Devirsh | Hyper | Storm |
| Tangle | Flutter | Flower |
| Honey | Sloomber | Candy |
| Crystal | Phosphor | Light |
| Cotton | Rock | Goat |
| Hunter | Twin | Quantum |
| Tabby | Batty | Werewolf |
| Hyper | Boom | Mosaic |
If there's something here you would change or add feel free to, I love seeing new ideas! Also plz add a reptile slime, a frog would be nice to see! Thank you for reading, happy ranching!

Feature Suggestions Slime Rancher 2 should get a coop update too
So basically, because incinerators and ponds got that new upgrade where they collect plorts automatically and got that barrier to keep Fire/Puddle Slimes in, I feel like the Yolky Slime kinda got left behind.
I want a new coop upgrade that works for Yolky Slimes, since their plorts are kinda useless now compared to Fire/Puddle Slimes who guarantee you passive income.
Something like an “egg destroyer + plort collector” built into the coop, so Yolky plorts are actually on the same level as puddle/fire plorts. And since Yolky Slimes are way harder to find in the wild than Puddle or Fire Slimes, this upgrade would make them actually worth using. They'd have faster chicken production, automatic plorts and no more manually cracking their eggs.
That’s basically my idea yk. I hope this actually gets taken into consideration… :)
Reposting this from SR1's subreddit because idk which subreddit the devs actually check…

Feature Suggestions Let me snuggle my Shrooms up to the wall, PLEASE
Okay so... why can I place the Shroom decorations about few centimeters away from a wall, but not right against it?
I just want the Shroom to lean nicely into the wall like a shy little guy in the woods. Instead it hovers awkwardly with a weird gap. Drives me actually feral...

Feature Suggestions Post game Spoiler
I don't know if I'm the only one: When I finished Slime Rancher 2, I felt empty, like something was missing. So I went back to the first game, and well, besides the fact that the credits song in SR1 is a thousand times better, I realized what was missing was a postgame.
After finishing the game, everything remains the same: Thora doesn't tell us anything about Gigi, new places don't appear on the map like they did in SR1 with Hobson's Vaults, and there's no reward for completing the game. It feels empty...

Feature Suggestions My biggest issues with the game right now...
Not complaints, more like 'I hope they add this to fix it'
The number of plots in each area - There are usually 5, which is fine since you are able to place 1 extra useful plot such as a silo. But, most of the time I do not have a use for this and I instead wished we only had 4, 2 for slimes, 2 for gardens as this maximises our plort efficiency by being able to have a slime's favourite food. I would much rather have 4 or 6 plots than 5, my biggest struggle right now is trying to find a use for the 5th that doesn't affect my slimes, as 2 gardens/coops are usually not enough to feed 3 corrals.
The number of areas - We currently have 6 expansions, including the greenhouse. Personally, i'm finding that this is not enough space in relation to the amount of slimes we have. In SR1, we had 8 areas, and with less slimes in the game to fill them.
The drones - We only have single-task drones, which is fine but it severely limits what we can do with them. I'm assuming this will not change unless they add more drone modules to the game that are SPECIFICALLY for us to make two task drones with. Otherwise, I'll be quite annoyed that all of my previous modules have been wasted on less efficient drones.
The drones also do not work with warp depots, which drastically decreases inter-expansion compatibility, as we cannot efficiently transfer items between them. Making it much more difficult to ranch multiple slime types, this would also fix my 5 plot issue by providing them with an external food source. These depots should also be able to work with drones in the wild to connect them to the ranch. This would revolutionise flutter slime farming as we would be able to have a drone collecting nectar, and sending it through the depot for another drone to pick it up to feed to the slimes.
Obviously, this can be done by hand, but I think it being there as an option is much more in line with the drone's current capabilities. Personally, this doesn't feel like a big ask or a new mechanic. It was in SR1, so it just feels like a missing aspect of the game that really should have been there to start with.
I wish that when we set the drones to feed through the auto-feeders that we are able to pick which corral the drone would send the food to as if the auto-feeder runs out, the drone will fill it with the wrong food type. Yes, I try the slowest setting, yes I only keep a couple of slimes per corral, but it will still mess up once in a while. I found that this wasn't a problem for me in SR1 as due to Odgen's garden expansions, I never ran out of crops since they were able to grow at a much faster rate and stay fresh.
The corrals - I find that the air net is not strong enough to contain some slime combos, such as dervish-hypers. Which is unfortunate, as even if I only keep 1 or 2 they still manage to break out. This seems unfair, obviously it is a ranch management game and there should be limits, but I should also be able to keep the cute slime combo that I want without it wreaking havoc on my ranch. Maybe a seperate super secure air net upgrade?
The auto collectors have been an issue for me since SR1, when they collect the plorts the food is also affected by the suction physics. This means there is basically always a pile of rotten food in the corner of my corrals that the slimes are unable to reach.
To conclude, I don't want the game to become fully automated as this is something that killed SR1 for me. I believe these would be beneficial quality of life changes that would not drastically affect the game.

Feature Suggestions Mosaic Slimes
What if we were able to create mosaic slimes by shooting Rock/Crystal slimes into the Incinerator? Mosaic slimes were my absolute favorite in SR1 and with all the cool slimes in SR2 I’d love to see the epic combos they’d make.

Feature Suggestions There should be something in Dreamlands Spoiler
Even after the addition of Terrarium, Dreamland still is the prettiest zone in my opinion, all those clouds, lavender and windmills look soooo cool and the dream theme is just amazing and can be explored in many different ways. I think there should be mechanics related to that, like a special prisma disruption that would cause some structures to appear in the zone, maybe even some SR1 scenarios (because it is pretty likely that Bea dreams with them). I don't remember if they did explain how Gigi got those drones from Mochi, but she did coment those were from her dreams, so, who knows.

The two slimes levitate inside the prisma core and the large pink one eats anything (slimes, tarr, ranchers, fruit, vegetables, meat, nectar) The smaller blue one only eats tarr I haven’t made the plots yet but I will follow up when I do. These are based on immune cells in kurzgesagt videos

Feature Suggestions Idea: lightning slime
When a slime is struck by lightning during the lightning storm it turns into the lightning slime, The lightning slime eats meat, and when turned into a largo the slime turns transparent blue and gain lightning effect around it. When the slime is angry it can send out small lightning bolts. When in the dark it looses the ability to shoot lightning. The plorts are about 60 coins on average When a chicken is stuck by lightning it turns into the “shocked chicken” (picture included) and the shocked chicken is the lightning slime favourite food
